Technology Market / This Safer Internet Day Let’s Focus On Phishing by salau01(m): 6:30pm On Feb 06, 2018
On 6 February, people around the world will mark Safer Internet Day. Originally, an initiative of the EU SafeBorders project in 2004, Safer Internet Day aims to raise awareness of emerging online issues and encourages everyone to use the internet in a safer and more responsible fashion – all year-round.

Cyber-crime attacks take many forms – malware, viruses, phishing, to name a few. Worldwide, phishing remains one of the most common forms of attack used by cybercriminals. It also remains one of the most dangerous. According to Symantec, one specific form of phishing email has targeted over 400 businesses every day, draining US$3-billion over the last three years, globally.

Before we explore why phishing is so dangerous and what you can do about it, it’s worth reminding ourselves what it is.

Phishing is the most common technique used to obtain sensitive information about you, like your username and password, or banking and financial information.

While phishing can take many forms, it typically entails hackers reaching out to their targets through email, telephone, text message, or through apps, posing as a legitimate person or trusted organisation in order to trick them into providing sensitive personal information.

With cybercriminals able to spoof these organisations in increasingly sophisticated ways, phishing has become more common and more difficult to protect against. In fact, a recently released report from PhishMe found that 90% of South Africa IT security decision makers have dealt with security incidents originating from deceptive emails.

But with phishing attacks having such a high cost to individuals and organisations alike, it is vitally important that everyone do everything they can to defend themselves against phishing.

Here are a few tips that, if followed, will make you much less likely to be a victim.
At the most basic level, you should be wary of requests for personal information. Don’t reply to suspicious emails, instant messages, or pop-up windows that ask for personal information like passwords or financial information. Even if the message comes from a website that you trust, never click on a link or send a reply message with your personal details. It’s better to go directly to the website or app to log into your account.

Before downloading any attachment, you should also open it through your browser, reducing the chance of infecting your device.

If you want to take things a step further, enable 2-Step Verification on your email (if it allows this). 2-Step Verification means that logging into your account requires a second step, beyond just your username and password. With 2-Step Verification enabled, a hacker can’t access your account with your username and password alone.

Many of your online accounts, including banking or financial institutions or social media accounts, will also offer 2-Step Verification options, further reducing your risk of falling victim to a phishing attack.

Companies in the technology space are constantly working on new ways to protect users from phishing attacks. At Google, for example, our Advanced Protection Programme (APP) is aimed at protecting high profile individuals like policy makers, campaign teams, journalists, activists, and business leaders and requires the use of a physical security key in addition to 2-Step Verification.

At the same time, however, cybercriminals are constantly looking for new ways around those protections.

The best advice this Safer Internet Day, and every day, is for all of us to stay vigilant, stay educated, and stay up to date with the latest developments in the space.

Sports / Zinedine Zidane Reveals Why He Subbed Cristiano Ronaldo During Real Madrid's 2-2 by salau01(m): 6:42pm On Feb 04, 2018
Zinedine Zidane has revealed why he subbed Cristiano Ronaldo during Real Madrid's 2-2 draw with Levante - and it wasn't to give him a rest.

The Frenchman removed the five time Ballon d'Or winner immediately after Isco struck in the 81st minute to restore Madrid's lead against struggling Levante.

But Italian substitute Giampaolo Pazzini piled on fresh misery for Los Blancos with an 89th minute equaliser on his home debut, which Zidane admitted left him "disgusted" after the final whistle.

Ronaldo appeared visibly furious as he left the pitch to be replaced by Marco Asensio and hit out at pitch-side photographers focusing on him in the dugout,

He said to them: "Don't film me, focus on the game!"

The decision to remove him has raised eyebrows as Real now languish 18 points behind Barcelona in La Liga, which could widen followers the leaders visit to Espanyol in the Catalan derby.

Zidane insisted the move was premeditated refuting any fitness-related reasons the Portuguese star was replaced. “We had the game under control, the most difficult is to score goals. We got to 2-1, but in the end, two mistakes cost us the two goals.

“This year is being difficult for us. We cannot put three or four results together. I am not happy with the result. We were in control of the game, above all the first half, so not happy, of course." Earlier this month, it was reported Real Madrid have decided to part ways with Zidane at the end of the season with German World Cup winning manager Joachim Low in line to replace him.

Talks are said to be underway with Low after Real Madrid President Florentino Perez decided to wield the axe.
Real Madrid have made a woeful defence of their La Liga title this season unable to get to close to Barcelona at the top of the table.

Zidane was appointed Real Madrid boss in 2016 and has won the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup twice along with his La Liga championship.

As a player, Zidane made 155 appearances for Real, scoring 37 goals.

Celebrities / Sony Taps CFO Yoshida As New President, Replacing Hirai by salau01(m): 9:50pm On Feb 02, 2018
Sony Corp. named Chief Financial Officer Kenichiro Yoshida as its new president and CEO on Friday, replacing Kazuo Hirai, who led a turnaround at the Japanese electronics and entertainment company and will stay on as chairman.

Yoshida has experience in Sony's U.S. operations, as well as its network, financial and investor relations businesses. Yoshida and Hirai shook hands, appearing together before reporters at Sony's Tokyo headquarters.

Hirai stressed Yoshida will continue the path he had set in place. Sony is about to record its best results in two decades this fiscal year. And both said management must not grow complacent.

"His way of thinking on what Sony must do is similar to mine," Hirai said on why Yoshida was chosen.

Sony's board members said they were surprised Hirai wanted to step down. But Hirai said he decided the timing was right to "pass the baton" to the next leadership, although the choice appeared to indicate the company's determination to stay on track, rather than shift too quickly to a younger generation of leadership. Yoshida, at 58, is one year older than Hirai.

Hirai became president and CEO in 2012, taking over from Howard Stringer, an American. He turned around an embattled Sony, which had sunk into losses as its once prized TV business lost out to rivals such as Samsung Electronics Co. of South Korea. Sony is now headed to booming profits, outpacing company targets, as its sensors are in demand for mobile devices made by rivals, including Apple.

Security is a top concern at every Olympics, where athletes and fans in scattered venues can be difficult to protect. But rarely do they take place in the shadow of a nuclear standoff, as is the case with the Winter Games that open next week here in South Korea.

Nearly 3,000 athletes from 92 nations and 100,000 spectators per day are expected to converge on the area around Pyeongchang, 50 miles from the North Korean border, for what organizers say will be the largest-ever Winter Games. The South has mobilized tens of thousands of security personnel — including 50,000 soldiers — in what may be the most militarized security force in Olympic history.
A last-minute diplomatic breakthrough in which North Korea agreed to participate in the Games has pushed fears of worst-case scenarios into the background, at least for now. But the North remains the most unpredictable factor in security arrangements, because it has a history of engaging in violence when South Korea hosts international sports events.
The arrival on Thursday of a delegation of North Korean athletes — part of a larger contingent of around 500 athletes, officials and performers — raises a separate set of security challenges, including protecting them from attacks by extremists in South Korea.
Organizers have long feared that the North might test a missile or nuclear weapon during the Games, perhaps even provoking a chain reaction of escalations leading to war. Such worries have subsided since the January deal, in which the two Koreas agreed to march under one flag in the opening ceremony.
But there are still suspicions about the North’s intentions.
“North Korea will cause trouble one way or another in order to interrupt the successful completion of the Games,” said Yoo Dong-ryul, the head of the Korea Institute of Liberal Democracy in Seoul. “In all the years the Kim dynasty has been in power, North Korea has never once properly cooperated with South Korea.”

News of Rasual Butler’s sudden death in a Wednesday morning car crash shocked the NBA. The veteran swingman was 38.

Butler and his wife R&B singer Leah LaBelle, were killed after Butler lost control of his Range Rover on a Los Angeles street and crashed into a shopping center. Police believe Butler was driving at two to three times the speed limit.

Butler played 13 seasons for eight teams, most recently with the Wizards in 2016. He also suited up in the Big 3 league this summer.

Butler was, by all accounts, a good teammate and his passing elicited a wide range of emotional reactions from around the league. Some players touched by Butler’s death were former teammates; others, like Kyle Lowry, grew up idolizing him as a Philadelphia icons.

Sports / Manchester United’s Sánchez Makes Big Impact With Small Acts Of Genius by salau01(m): 6:46am On Jan 27, 2018
The Chilean forward’s drawn-out transfer from Arsenal to Old Trafford was all but forgotten as two assists and glimpses of greatness marked his debut in an FA Cup victory at Yeovil
“He wants to play, he loves to play.” And so he does. For all the overblown shemozzle of Alexis Sánchez’s long goodbye from Arsenal, the dizzyingly tedious debates over net cost, balance of the deal, the artfully shot piano-plonking video cut, one thing has remained unaltered. Sánchez is a wonderfully pure footballer, a multimillionaire athlete who, as José Mourinho said before kick-off at Huish Park, really does just love to kick a ball around.

Sánchez was busy, full-blooded and in flashes quietly brilliant during his first hour as a Manchester United player. Before this FA Cup fourth- round match there had been the usual drooling rags v riches talk, a modern version of The Magic Of The Cup that tends, in this most materialist of ages, to focus on the finances, the Alexis-Sánchez-could-buy-the-whole-of-Somerset schtick.

Foreign Affairs / South African Business Leader Snubs Trump In Davos by salau01(m): 6:32am On Jan 27, 2018
The South African business leader who called for a boycott of Donald Trump’s closing World Economic Forum speech on Friday afternoon has explained why Africans were angry with the U.S. president and why some of them did not attend his Davos speech.

Bonang Mohale, CEO of the lobby group Business Leadership South Africa, wrote an open letter to President Trump before the WEF meeting in which he condemned the discourse of the U.S. leader, the website of the national broadcaster Swissinfo reported on Friday.

“We have read with consternation reports of your derisive comments characterizing African nations and others as ‘shithole countries’, and questioning why the United States should allow immigrants from our continent, or other similarly described nations like El Salvador and Haiti,” Mohale said in the letter to Trump.

He noted Trump’s reported Jan. 12 comments which stated a preference for immigrants from “countries like Norway”.

Mohale said many Africans were well aware of the serious challenges they faced such as poor governance, unacceptably high unemployment, inadequate public health care and education systems that, while improving, remained below the levels needed to lift them from poverty.

“Some of these challenges are self-made, (but) many are the inevitable result of centuries of colonization and its aftermath. Many of us are clear-eyed about our difficulties and how to tackle them, and are doing just that,” said the South African.

Noting South Africa’s legacy of the racist system of apartheid, Mohale said in the open letter to Trump, “Many of us will be boycotting your address to delegates at Davos in protest against your divisive comments and continued failure to unequivocally apologize.”

South Africa’s deputy president and newly-elected leader of the ruling African National Congress, Cyril Ramaphosa, left Davos before Trump’s speech.

He said he had hoped President Trump’s presence at the 2018 WEF meeting would help stimulate a debate that inspired commitment to a world premised on “basic principles of humanity, inclusiveness, respect, tolerance and forbearance”.

Mohale said such a world is “an alternative, in other words, to a world where walls, disparagement, and hate dominate the discourse of the leader of the U.S.”

Burna Boy said every song on the album was inspired by something in his life, revealing ‘Where I’m from’ as his favorite and most personal song.
He explained how a trip to Port Harcourt led to ‘City Vibration’ and recounted his experience with Drake that led to ‘More Life’, the album’s opener.
In attendance was Burna Boy’s Grandfather, Benson Idonije, his mother and sister. Davido, Phyno, Skales, Idia Aisien, Nonso Bassey, Odunsi The Engine, Idyl, Leriq, DJ Lambo, Chopstix and DJ Spinall were some of the celebrities and influencers that showed up to support Burna Boy.

At the end of the event, Burna Boy took time to take pictures and stayed till the last minute when he left with everyone.
There were wide smiles as people departed; a testament of the music that Burna Boy created on the ‘Outside’ album. The album will be released on all digital music platforms on the 26th of January.

A group, the Aviation Round Table (ART) on Sunday said economic recession was responsible for the 26 per cent drop in Nigeria’s air passenger traffic in 2017.

Mr Gbenga Olowo, ART President, made this known while speaking with the News agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, adding that “that is expected because the country was in recession.R4
“In fact, December was so bad that there was a total shut down. December is when people usually travel for holidays but a lot of people stayed put because there are no activities in the economy and people don’t have money to spend.”
He, however, expressed optimism that the sector would perform better in 2018.
“I hope 2018 will witness an improvement because of politics and monies that are going to be spent.
“Also, government will want to speed up the fulfilment of their promises. These will gear up traveling. So, 2018 is more positive for traveling.
“The economy is coming out of recession, fiscal policies that government wants to drive will definitely stimulate commerce and travel, as well as politics that are around the corner,” Olowo said.
NAN reports that no fewer than 11,221,608 air travellers went through Nigeria airports in 2017 according to figures released by the Consumer Protection Directorate of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
This is however a 26 per cent decrease compared to the 15,232,597 passengers recorded between January and December 2016. (NAN)

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the out-going 80-year President of the country has served in every government since 1972 when President William. R. Tolbert.Jr appointed her an Assistant Minister. Since then, it has been one long story of a political leader that cannot be pinned down to principles.

In 1980 a Master Sergeant, Samuel Kanyon Doe staged a bloody coup in which President Tolbert was killed and some of his supporters, executed. But Sirleaf had no qualms serving as the Finance Minister in the Doe dictatorship. When she fell out with Doe, Sirleaf teamed up with rebels led by Charles Taylor to found the National Patriotic Front of Liberia (NPF) and began an insurgency and Liberia’s first Civil War. She raised funds for the rebels.

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has given his nod to the club’s attempts to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back.

La Sexta reports that Mourinho will have no issues over the return of his compatriot, who he worked with during his three-year spell at Real Madrid.

It is believed that a major clear out is imminent at the Spanish club.

Real will look to finally part ways with Ronaldo in the summer.

Real president, Florentino Perez, has reportedly resisted pressure from Ronaldo for a new deal this time, with the Portuguese captain unhappy at earning less than Lionel Messi after his bumper extension at the Camp Nou.

United could reportedly pay up to £352million in order to seal transfer at the end of the season.

Emmanuel Adebayor has spoken about his “hate” for Arsenal, which stems from his fallout with “fake” Arsene Wenger.

Adebayor who left the Gunners for Manchester City in 2009, says Wenger lacked the honesty which made him love Jose Mourinho, who he played under at Real Madrid.
“Mourinho is the one of the managers I loved and will always love.
“He is one of the [most] honest managers I have met in my career, which is crazy because most of the managers are all kind of like fake.
“As an example, I had a meeting with Arsene Wenger in his office when he told me I had to leave because he doesn’t see my future any more in Arsenal. I have to move on in my life.
“I was like ‘I’m going to stay.’ He was like ‘no there is not even a fight organised. We are not going to organise any fight for you. You move out or you stay here and don’t play any games.’
“So I didn’t have any other choice than joining Man City which I was very happy to join.
“And the next day when I joined Manchester City I saw him doing a press conference in London saying that I wanted to leave because the money was big and everything and since that day that is where the hate for Arsenal came from.
“Not the fans because the fans are the first English fans to sing my name in London.
“Even today when I watch them play I want them to win but at the same time I want them to lose because the anger in me is too big,” Adebayor, who now plays for Turkish league leaders, Istanbul Basaksehir, said.

Foreign Affairs / News Full Text Of President Donald Trump’s Speech On Jerusalem by salau01(m): 10:07am On Dec 07, 2017
Visit http://dergipark.gov.tr/bilgesci/issue/32353/338527

The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, on Wednesday recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The move has since then, generated a lot of controversies from all over the world.

Here is the full text of President Trump’s speech on Jerusalem:

When I came into office, I promised to look at the world ’s challenges with open eyes and very fresh thinking. We cannot solve our problems by making the same failed assumptions and repeating the same failed strategies of the past. Old challenges demand new approaches.

My announcement today marks the beginning of a new approach to conflict between Israel and the Palestinians.

In 1995 , Congress adopted the Jerusalem Embassy Act, urging the federal government to relocate the American embassy to Jerusalem and to recognize that that city —and so importantly — is Israel’s capital . This act passed Congress by an overwhelming bipartisan majority and was reaffirmed by a unanimous vote of the Senate only six months ago.

Yet , for over 20 years, every previous American president has exercised the law ’s waiver , refusing to move the US embassy to Jerusalem or to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital city.

Presidents issued these waivers under the belief that delaying the recognition of Jerusalem would advance the cause of peace.

Some say they lacked courage, but they made their best judgments based on facts as they understood them at the time.
Nevertheless, the record is in.

After more than two decades of waivers, we are no closer to a lasting peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. It would be folly to assume that repeating the exact same formula would now produce a different or better result.

Therefore, I have determined that it is time to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

While previous presidents have made this a major campaign promise, they failed to deliver. Today, I am delivering.

I ’ve judged this course of action to be in the best interests of the United States of America and the pursuit of peace between Israel and the Palestinians.

This is a long overdue step to advance the peace process and to work towards a lasting agreement.

Israel is a sovereign nation with the right like every other sovereign nation to determine its own capital. Acknowledging this as a fact is a necessary condition for achieving peace.

It was 70 years ago that the United States, under President Truman, recognized the State of Israel. Ever since then, Israel has made its capital in the city of Jerusalem — the capital the Jewish people established in ancient times.

Today, Jerusalem is the seat of the modern Israeli government. It is the home of the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, as well as the Israeli Supreme Court . It is the location of the official residence of the Prime Minister and the President . It is the headquarters of many government ministries.

For decades, visiting American presidents, secretaries of state, and military leaders have met their Israeli counterparts in Jerusalem, as I did on my trip to Israel earlier this year.

Jerusalem is not just the heart of three great religions , but it is now also the heart of one of the most successful democracies in the world.

Over the past seven decades, the Israeli people have built a country where Jews, Muslims, and Christians, and people of all faiths are free to live and worship according to their conscience and according to their beliefs.

Jerusalem is today, and must remain, a place where Jews pray at the Western Wall, where Christians walk the Stations of the Cross, and where Muslims worship at Al- Aqsa Mosque.

However, through all of these years, presidents representing the United States have declined to officially recognize Jerusalem as Israel ’s capital. In fact, we have declined to acknowledge any Israeli capital at all.

But today, we finally acknowledge the obvious: that Jerusalem is Israel ’s capital. This is nothing more, or less, than a recognition of reality . It is also the right thing to do . It’s something that has to be done.

That is why, consistent with the Jerusalem Embassy Act, I am also directing the State Department to begin preparation to move the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

This will immediately begin the process of hiring architects, engineers, and planners , so that a new embassy , when completed , will be a magnificent tribute to peace.

In making these announcements, I also want to make one point very clear : This decision is not intended, in any way, to reflect a departure from our strong commitment to facilitate a lasting peace agreement.
We want an agreement that is a great deal for the Israelis and a great deal for the Palestinians.

We are not taking a position of any final status issues , including the specific boundaries of the Israeli sovereignty in Jerusalem, or the resolution of contested borders. Those questions are up to the parties involved.

The United States remains deeply committed to helping facilitate a peace agreement that is acceptable to both sides. I intend to do everything in my power to help forge such an agreement.

Without question, Jerusalem is one of the most sensitive issues in those talks. The United States would support a two – state solution if agreed to by both sides.

In the meantime, I call on all parties to maintain the status quo at Jerusalem’s holy sites , including the Temple Mount , also known as Haram al – Sharif.

Above all, our greatest hope is for peace, the universal yearning in every human soul. With today’s action , I reaffirm my administration’s longstanding commitment to a future of peace and security for the region.

There will, of course, be disagreement and dissent regarding this announcement. But we are confident that ultimately, as we work through these disagreements, we will arrive at a peace and a place far greater in understanding and cooperation.

This sacred city should call forth the best in humanity, lifting our sights to what it is possible; not pulling us back and down to the old fights that have become so totally predictable.

Peace is never beyond the grasp of those willing to reach .
So today, we call for calm, for moderation, and for the voices of tolerance to prevail over the purveyors of hate . Our children should inherit our love , not our conflicts.

I repeat the message I delivered at the historic and extraordinary summit in Saudi Arabia earlier this year: The Middle East is a region rich with culture, spirit, and history. Its people are brilliant, proud , and diverse , vibrant and strong.

But the incredible future awaiting this region is held at bay by bloodshed, ignorance, and terror.

Vice President Pence will travel to the region in the coming days to reaffirm our commitment to work with partners throughout the Middle East to defeat radicalism that threatens the hopes and dreams of future generations.

It is time for the many who desire peace to expel the extremists from their midst. It is time for all civilized nations , and people, to respond to disagreement with reasoned debate — not violence.

And it is time for young and moderate voices all across the Middle East to claim for themselves a bright and beautiful future.

So today, let us rededicate ourselves to a path of mutual understanding and respect. Let us rethink old assumptions and open our hearts and minds to possible and possibilities.

And finally , I ask the leaders of the region — political and religious; Israeli and Palestinian; Jewish and Christian and Muslim — to join us in the noble quest for lasting peace.

Thank you. God bless you. God bless Israel. God bless the Palestinians. And God bless the United States. Thank you very much .
Thank you.

Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wednesday night became the first player in Champions League history to score in every single group stage match in a season.

No football player has ever done so in the Europe’s elite competition.

CR7, as fondly called, set the record during his team’s home match against Borussia Dortmund.

In the 12th minute, Mateo Kovačić, fed Ronaldo who was at the edge of the box, and the Portuguese forward guided a curled effort into the top right-hand corner.

Four minutes earlier, Ronaldo cuts inside quickly from the left flank and pokes a pass into the box and towards Isco, who moves it on to Mayoral and sets up the young striker to easily beat Burki from close range.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid midfielder, Mateo Kovacic has backed Ronaldo to win this year’s Ballon d’Or.

In his recent biography of the actor, we see how meeting Jennifer Kendal was akin to the earth shifting for Shashi Kapoor, how she kept him grounded and most importantly trim and slim!
It was during his apprenticeship at Prithvi Theatres that Shashi Kapoor, through a quirk of fate, met the woman who would be his wife. Shashi’s future sister-in-law, Felicity Kendal, writes in her autobiography, White Cargo, that one evening her sister, Jennifer Kendal—who was thirteen years older than her—went to the Royal Opera House in Bombay to catch a performance of Deewaar by Prithvi Theatres. Shashi was backstage and happened to look through the curtains; that’s when he caught a glimpse of Jennifer. There she was ‘dressed in a black and white polka-dotted summer dress with a halter neckline—daring—and she was pretty […] fanning herself with her programme.

Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, has revealed that he has accepted a Football Association charge of misconduct and will pay his £8,000 fine.

Conte, however, insisted the incident will not make him change his behaviour on the touchline.

The FA took action against Conte , after he was dismissed from his technical area by referee Neil Swarbrick, during the first half of Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Swansea City on Thursday.

The Italian fired a couple of angry comments over what he perceived as time-wasting from the visitors at the officials. He later apologized for his actions, but on Friday during his press conference, he vowed to continue fighting against delay tactics.

“It’s right to accept it and pay the fine,” Conte said.

“You know what happened, [and] if the referee took this decision I have to respect it and pay this fine.

“I want also the referee to learn something about this because Swansea was wasting time and the referee has to protect the team that wants to play football and try to win the game.

“I was angry because I said twice to the fourth official, ‘Look they are wasting time,’ but I shout and show dissent. I accept the decision of the referee.”

Asked if the punishment will change the way he acts during games, Conte replied: “For what? For this? No, no, I think I hope in the future that I tell my players to go out and tell these things to the referee.

“I will try to avoid to suggest this to the fourth official and I change because I will push my players to say these things to the referee.”

Former Nigeria international Mutiu Adepoju has claimed that the Super Eagles squad to the USA 1994 World Cup were not fazed about who they got in the group stage, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

After qualifying for the World Cup for the first time at the 1994 edition in USA, the Super Eagles were drawn in Group D with Argentina, Bulgaria and Greece who also made their debut.

The Eagles eventually topped the group on six points and qualified for round of 16, after wins against Bulgaria and Greece, while losing to Argentina.

Reminiscing on what the mood was like for the Super Eagles players back then prior to the USA 1994 World Cup draw, Adepoju stated that they were ready to face any country.

“We never had any problem or anxiety over which team we were to be drawn with,” Adepoju, who played in all the group games and the round of 16 clash against Italy at USA 1994 World Cup, told Completesportsnigeria.com.

One in five Canadians infected with HIV doesn't know it, so federal scientists are looking for ways to make testing more accessible.

"The behaviours associated with HIV transmission are highly stigmatized, and that can result in individuals in certain populations not wanting to come forward and be tested," says Paul Sandstrom, director of the National HIV and Retrovirology Laboratory in Winnipeg.

"We can't just be sitting back and waiting for a sample to arrive in the laboratory … We've had to come up with new strategies where we can engage the community and individuals within the community — essentially take the laboratory outside of the laboratory."

On World AIDS Day, Dec. 1, the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) says there's a new HIV infection in Canada every three hours.

Antonio Conte was sent to the stands for the second half as Chelsea claimed its fifth Premier League win in six games with a 1-0 defeat of Swansea on Wednesday.

On the field, Antonio Rudiger’s 55th-minute header proved decisive. It was Rudiger’s first Premier League goal.

Michael van Gerwen made it three successive Players Championship titles with a dominant 11-2 victory over surprise finalist Jonny Clayton in Minehead.

The world number one, who beat Dave Chisnall in last year's final and Adrian Lewis in 2015, was too strong for Welshman Clayton who had shocked top seed Rob Cross in the semi-final but proved to be no barrier to Van Gerwen's fourth Players title in the last five years.

Monday's draw for the World Championship, which is live on Sky Sports News from around 6.30pm, will map out MvG's course for the defence of his world crown and he has moved into the sort of ominous form he displayed this time last year when he swept all before him on his way to a second Sid Waddell Trophy.

Foreign Affairs / Macron Visits Africa Amid Anger Over Human Trafficking And Slavery by salau01(m): 7:58pm On Nov 26, 2017

The French president, Emmanuel Macron, will start a four-day visit to Africa on Monday amid growing anger across the continent about politicians’ collective failure to do more to clamp down on human trafficking, and even slave auctions, in Libya.

The revelations by CNN of apparent slave auctions in Libya a fortnight ago led to widespread condemnation, but also claims that European politicians had been repeatedly warned about the dire state of Libyan migrant detention centres, including systematic abuse, amounting to slavery.

Macron has called for an emergency meeting of the United Nations security council this week, saying such auction houses are a crime against humanity. The fierceness of his intervention may have been prompted by his high-profile visit to sub-Saharan Africa built around a carefully crafted theme of empowering Africa’s youth.

Jose Mourinho might not have agreed with it, but Andreas Pereira's loan is paying dividends. Ahead of Valencia's top-of-the-table clash with Barcelona on Sunday, live on Sky Sports Football, we look at the 21-year-old's improving form and growing influence, and what the future holds...

Nine wins from 12 matches, no defeats, 32 goals scored, and the only serious challengers to Barcelona at the top of La Liga. Valencia have been the story in the Spanish top flight this season.

After several lean years, Los Che have been transformed under new head coach Marcelino, with 16 players leaving in a summer clearout and new, hungrier, younger players arriving in their place. Among those to join were Goncalo Guedes and Simone Zaza - coming off the back of unsuccessful spells at Paris Saint-Germain and West Ham respectively - and Andreas Pereira - a late arrival on a season-long loan from Manchester United.

Pereira's move came on Spanish deadline day and was something of a surprise. He had featured regularly in pre-season for United and, after a successful season-long loan at Granada, had been expected to push for a first-team role, at least in cup competitions. But, perhaps after taking a closer look at the midfield competition at Old Trafford, Pereira opted for another loan, even though Jose Mourinho was not totally on board.

"Andreas Pereira was a personal decision that I don't agree with," he said. "A decision I don't think honestly is the best decision for him, a decision that disappoints me a little bit, because I think he has the potential to be here fighting for a position, for opportunities, and fighting to be a Manchester United player. You have to be ready to fight for a position and I am a bit disappointed that he left."

Pereira, 21, admitted it was a "difficult" decision, but said: "For me individually and for the chances of playing it was better to be here."

It is a decision that appears to have been vindicated, so far. As Valencia have flourished, Pereira has played an important part. He has made 10 appearances in La Liga - five starts and five substitute appearances - and has scored once and made three assists.

While at Granada last season he largely played in a No 10 role behind the striker, at Valencia he has played on either the left or right side of Marcelino's favoured 4-4-2 formation. And he credits Marcelino for much of his, and the team's, success. "He is the one who has created all this, this good environment," he says. "He is a very good coach. He tells us clearly, as individuals, and as a team, what to do in every moment."

Pereira should also take some of the credit as he has started to express himself more on the pitch. There have been stepovers, cutbacks, bursts down the wings and, most of all, excellent crosses for Zaza and Rodrigo to profit from.

Celebrities / Tackling Corruption: Why Saudi Prince Mohammed's Approach Raises Questions by salau01(m): 6:13pm On Nov 25, 2017
Visit www.latestforya..com and follow on Instagram @salau01

Leave aside for a moment questions of due process. Analysis of Saudi Arabia’s three largest corporate failures explains why Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s recent moves look more like a power and asset grab than a credible effort to eradicate corruption.
Dependency on government contracts was at the core of the bankruptcy of Saudi Oger, owned by the family of embattled Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, and the near-demise of the Saudi Bin Laden Group.
Granted, the $22 billion downfall of 70-year old Ahmad Hamad Algosaibi & Brothers Company (AHAB) that took down two Bahraini banks as well as the Saad Group in one the largest financial collapses of the 2009 global credit crunch, occurred because of mismanagement, lacking corporate and financial governance, and allegations of fraud, theft and forgery.
Yet, like the Bin Ladens and the Hariris, a major chunk of the group’s business was with the government, selling steel piping to Saudi Aramco, the kingdom’s national oil and natural gas behemoth. The settlement of the collapse with more than 100 banks was long viewed as a litmus test for foreign investors.
