The humility of our blessed mother even now keeps me astonished. Kneeling behind the priest during consecration, her explanation is a challenge to us the pilgrim church.

Don't ignore little kind gestures.

[quote author=Mr. Aladin]Ro 8:28 All things work together for good.
The third ground of encouragement to
saints in suffering is now given. To them,
under God's providence, all things, even
their sorrows, trials and persecutions, work
together for blessing. This precious
assurance is not to all mankind, saint and
sinner, but is limited to a class. To them that
love God. These are those who enjoy the
blessed assurance just given. Notice the
order in the Revised Version, which is the
order of the Greek, "to them that love God all
things work together for good". The love of
God is the very foundation of the Christian
life. See Lu 10:28 and Joh 14:23. The
expression, "them that love God", is
synonymous with "Followers of Christ". See
1Co 2:9 Eph 6:24 2Ti 4:8 Jas 2:5. The two
expressions "them that love God" and "the
called" are are different ways of describing
the same class. To them who are the called.
These have been called by the gospel and
have accepted the call. Many others are
called Jews and Gentiles, but only those who
hear and obey are chosen (Mt 20:16 20:14).
Paul uses the term of the latter class; those
who hear and obey. The evidence that we
are "the called" is that we love God.
According to [his] purpose. This call was
purposed from the time that God promised
a Deliverer of the fallen race (Ge 3:15).[/quote]Quite aptly put.
Grace and love to all, immense benefit to all who love him in return.

Never is a man more manly than when he kneels before God.
In those words are mysteries embedded. He who kneels to God can stand up to any thing.

Let's put our kneels and change the world.

church, school even home with neigbours and family members.

but i still think a parent shud stay for the early year,

lets say from 0-5yrs??
0-5 years from the time the first child is born or the last?

Considering the economic situation of this country, the family might find it difficult to cope if only one of the parents becomes the bread winner of the family.

asco15: so wat interpretation will u give it? because u ppl always read d bible and try 2 use it 2 critisize xtians, then why won't u believe dat those verses critisizes ur way of worship?
FYI am not a muslim.

I said that because whenever muslims quote the bible to authenticate their religion, we christians always cry foul. Why then should we quote thesame to bible to discredit them.

Christianity is completely different from islam, I hate seeing them compared. Let everybody face his or her religion.

@OP If you believe that portion of the bible was referring to islam, the only advice I have for is, don't feel offended when they quote the bible to justify their prophet's prophethood.

Sacrificing your carrier to stay at home with your children is not the best option; though it is good for parents to stay close to their children and know how they are faring. Even when you stay at home, the children will not always stay at home. Also ensure that your children feel free to communicate to you what they experience on daily basis. Don't distance yourself from them while pursuing you carrier, if they are comfortable with you and you are their for them, you can easily detect when all is not well with them.

I quite agree with you on this. When God delivered the Israelites from Egypt with diverse miracles, signs and wonders, one might believe they will all enter the promised land but nay; only Joshua and Caleb made it to the promised land.

Moses through whom God delivered the Israelites and performed most of the miracles did not himself enter the land of Canaan.

In thesame vain we may receive counless miracles from God in life, but if at the end our names are not found in the book of life, eternal salvation will definitely elude us.

Ubenedictus: don't confuse it, the sheding of blood that seals the new convenant and remit sins of many isn't in the upper room but in calvary. Jesus was saying this blood is the same as that which seals the convenant and remit sins, he wasn't saying he was giving them the blood so that receiving unworthyly they will be purified.
That is to say, the last supper was pointing to his calvary sacrifice?
Likewise the body and blood of Christ which we receive today points to thesame.
What do you have to say about the reception of the body and blood of Christ taking away venial sins?.

Ubenedictus: Francis Reflects on the Temptation to Flee from God Calls on Faithful to Allow God to Author the Plan of Their Lives By Junno Arocho Esteves VATICAN CITY, October 07, 2013 ( Zenit.org) - Pope Francis this morning during his daily Mass at Santa Marta reflected on the temptation that everyone, even Christians, can face
to flee from God. Among the faithful present at the Holy Father’s morning Mass were a
number of accredited journalists from the Holy See Press Office. The Pope, who on October 13th will consecrate the world to the Immaculate Heart of
Mary, was dressed in a white chasuble to honor the Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary. Speaking on the first reading, which recalled the story of Jonah who fled upon receiving
the call from God to preach against Nineveh, the Holy Father told the faithful gathered
that the act of “fleeing from God” is a temptation faced daily by all. “You can flee from God, even while being a Christian, being a Catholic, or a member of
Catholic Action, a priest, bishop, Pope [...] everyone, everyone of us can flee from God. It
is a daily temptation. To not listen to God, to not listen to his voice, to not feel in our
heart His proposal, His invitation,” the Pope said. Another example of fleeing from God, the Holy Father indicated, is given in the Gospel of
the Good Samaritan, particularly in the example that Christ’s gives of the priest who
passes a man beaten on the side of a road. “In the Gospel, there is this man who is half-dead, thrown on the pavement of the road,
and by chance a priest was going down that road, a dignified priest, dressed properly
in a cassock, good [priest], very good!” the Pope explained. “He saw [him] and looked: ‘I’m going to be late for Mass’, and he left. He did not hear the
voice of God there.” Pope Francis observed that while a Levite also passes the stranger, the only one who
stopped was one who “habitually flees from God: a sinner, a Samaritan.” Despite his
differences in religious practices, and even though he came from a theological
background that was wrong, the Samaritan doesn’t flee, instead “he understood that
God called him” there. “Why does Jonah flee from God? Why does the priest flee from God? Why does the
Levite flee from God?” the Pope asked. “It’s because their hearts were closed, and when
your heart is closed, you can no longer hear the voice of God. Instead, a Samaritan who
was on a journey ‘saw him and was moved with compassion: his heart was open, he
was human.” The 76 year old Pontiff stated that those who flee from God, like Jonah, the priest and
the Levite all had a set plan for their lives, while the Samaritan allowed God to write the
story of his life. Concluding his homily, Pope Francis called on the faithful to ask themselves whether
they allow God to write the story of our lives or do we want to write our own plans. “I am sure that we all see that the Samaritan, the sinner did not flee from God. May the
Lord allow us to listen to the voice of the Lord, His voice, which tells us: Go, and do the
same as well,” he said. After the Mass, the Holy Father greeted the journalists, among whom ZENIT was also
present.
In our daily lives we encounter things that make us flee from God. Sometimes it is our quest for material possessions other times it is the troubles and difficulties we encounter. Sometimes, we seem to doubt the existence of God or why he is yet to come to our aid.

All these contribute to the reason why we sometimes flee from God or at least feel like fleeing from God.
In all let God direct our path in live and give us grace to do his will always.

striktlymi: The OP is on point and I love it. I am just not comfortable with the level of disunity in Christendom. At first I asked myself why not join other Christians in the stickied Christian chatbox?

But after some thought about the level of discrimination faced by Catholics and considering that a number of front runners in that thread are averse to anything Catholic, I had a re-think.

After all it's not a bad idea for Catholics to have a 'safe haven' where they can meet and get stuff off their chest with little or no disturbance.

I think its a good initiative.
