while B part of it said there is sin which are nt unto death. Sin which are nt unto death are those sins u confessed n forsake. So if u wil confes n forsake ur sin d lord wil shw u mercy.
if you had read from verse 16 of that chapter, you will notice it wasn't stating whether the sinner confessed or forsake the sin rather it was showing that some sins are greater than others. If it is a mortal sin( greater sin) it will not be forgiven by other peoples prayers but if it is a venial sin, someone's prayer can bring forgiveness to the sinner. But because we can't clearly state the boundary between these two categories of sin, it is better to flea any appearance of sin. |
Sometimes I do think Paul's admonition on the holy communion is in direct contrast to the words of Jesus Christ at the last super. In Matt 26 V 26-28 the scripture says.... And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and break it, and gave it to the disciple, and said, Take, eat, this is my body. 27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. The words of Christ seem to say " this my body and blood which I give you today is meant to take away your sins. On the other hand, apostle paul wrote in 1cor 11 v27-30... Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup. 29 For him that eateth and drinketh unworthyily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. 30For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. Now if Holy Communion was for the remission sin, why must one examine himself before receiving it, or incur sickness for receiving it unworthily. |
charisville: He beloved, it's a matter of sematics. Jesus took the bread and it was just bread, but after giving thanks that symbol of bread turned into His body after the thanks. But people have also taken it to the extreme which is not correct. The main person the supper should point you to is Jesus and His finished work. So it's a matter of sematics. ThanksNow you are confusing me, Did Jesus take bread as the symbol of his body or he took the symbol of bread? |
Oluwacolded: I want to know who have visited the garden of eden before and which country it is located because i haven't heard anybody being there on a visit beforeThis was exactly the question I typed in google that brought me to nairaland for the first time, and even to this day, am yet to get a sure answer. Let me hope we will get an answer this time. |
Go to your Church but pay your tithe in God's temple, ( the poor and needy around you) for our body is the temple of God. Sorry if you think I twisted the scriptures. |
Yes I often do especially after reading the books titled "Ready To Die" and "How To Die" |
Let's take a look at these verses of the holy scriptures. Jn 19 v 11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all over me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin. KJV Here Jesus made it clear that some sins are considered greater than the other. If we also take a look at 1Jn 5 v 16-17 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 17 All unrighteousness is sin and there is a sin not unto death. KJV We can also see from the above that the writer was referring to two categories of sinners, the first he advice us to pray for while the second he said we shouldn't pray for. The question is why should it be so? The simple answer is he considered there sin more grievous than the former. But we can't precisely state the boundary between these categories of sin so to be on the safer side, let's flee every appearance of evil. |
Thank God almighty for yet another miraculous deed. |
dude99: Hello,i had a bruise on my penis while romancing a? lady,as it goes on the lady touched my penis, had some symptom of Hiv and i went to the hospital after 3 month and i am negative!do you think i should rule out Hiv from my mind? What are the symptoms you talked about? It might not be symptoms of HIV. You should also repeat the test to be certain. When next you have such experience don't wait for three months before getting tested, you should immediately go to the nearest Heart to Heart centre, get the test and possibly take prophylaxis. FYI, abstinence remains the best option anyday . |
Divepen: Then his salvation needs questioningWhose salvation needs questioning? |
@ op your link led me to your blog spot and I can't see any tangible evidence there. |
Something is wrong somewhere, are religous people getting madder (permit my english) by the day?
What's the matter with you? |
@OP, how do you justify the fact that you are measuring an atheist's morality based on the biblical standard? Your definition of perfect morality as regards the atheist should be from secular or dictionary meaning. You are trying to bring in what Christian refer to as the righteousness of God but the truth is you are reviewing the life of one who does not believe in the existence of God. Both theists and atheists are not morally perfect but continually thriving to be perfect. |
Thank you Lord for another blessed day. |
No, google secondary amenorrhea hopefully you will get more help. |

Syncan: Not at all dearest one, Just thinking about Hosea... and how much demons must have been his share according to our friend above. My thoughts exactly. |
damerry: Are you married to a one-time promiscuous lady?Lol see JAMB question. |
Mescopaul: Not realy dat. Follow d posts well. You too; do same. |
Mescopaul: Not realy dat. Follow d posts well.Lacum is right. Maybe you should go through the thread again. You've also be inconsistent in your line of discussion so far. Talking about beating, you should judge for yourself who was actually beaten so far. |
Mescopaul: just like i saidThat means you didn't understand the question. I asked "would the best option be to scrap off the course?" this is to say there could be many possible alternatives but we are looking for the best option. It wasn't a case of impossibility but that of choosing the best option. It pays to understand a question before attempting to answer it. |
Mescopaul: You have started the issue all over again, Now listen the Catholic priests' celibacy should be something like "A child was born and it was a boy", to that, there's nothing the child can do to become a girl unless doing the impossible, celibacy in the priests' case should be the same, there should never had been a case of celibate priests turning around to what they already put aside, just as that child can never become a girl, the priests should never indulge in any affair, but with the married whether pastors or not, its not so.What if this child goes out of his way to get himself trangendered, who is to blame; him or the parents? Can you tell me of any rule that has not been broken? Why would that of celibacy be different. These priests were not physically castrated in the cause of their priesthood, For every rule that is made, it is supposed not to be broken but one thing is obvious, along the line you will see people brake the rule. Here the outcome becomes different from the expectation. That exactly what you see in the priesthood today. |
Mescopaul: I wont accept that insinuation to this issue,The bottom line here is" both made vows but did not uphold them" no argument is needed to ascertain that glaring truth. |
Mescopaul: Your comparison of the issue at hand with "If a school offering "Use of English" as a compulsory GS course discovers that most students have been failing the course, should the best option be to scrap off that course in other to ensure they don't witness failure again?. is too mild.,Yes I intentionally gave you the mild but similar comparison and I know you understood that. |
obadiah777: you do err. worshipping christ simply means studying your bible. christ is the bible. dont worship christ the man. worship Christ the word >>>>I was expecting you to give me a good explanation but got disappointed when I saw this. Wake up from your slumber please. |
obadiah777: message 2My concern now is not weather or not Jesus is an angel. Assuming I accept he's an angel and Heb 1 V 6 made it clear that other angels worship him. The question now is, how many entities deserve worship? |
obadiah777: now we are starting to see your shortcoming. you dont know what it means is why you hold the position you hold. how are you going to disagree with something you dont know the meaning off ? smdhThe infallible Obadiah! From your explanation, are you saying the leader of the messengers of God deserves worship? A simple yes or no will do sire. |
TinyPurpleBaby: BLOODY LIE!!!!!!!!!Whom exactly are you angry with ? Seems you quoted the wrong post. |
obadiah777: i dont even think you know the meaning of the word 'angel'. what does that word mean ?Why not explain that as well. |
@ Laalamed. Thanks for your post but I have a reason for directing that question to Obadiah777. Hopefully someday I will refer to this post for clarifications. |
