I want to assume you guys arguing here have such an ample time to discuss what is not really necessary at this time.
Quota system or not, competency and exceptionality is paramount in this recruitment.
As for JV between IOCs and the government, I think Mr Raphelo still have a reading to do on the operation of the terms in the JV. From what I know, the government doesn’t involve themselves in the affairs of the company but only interested in their own share of the net returns. Are you saying you work or have a link in the human capital department for you to be so certain Shell will consider someone from the South because they want to fulfill a quota system rather than employ a competent hand from the North who is more qualified? Let it make sense bro… This is neither NNPC nor DPR, even those don’t consider federal character in their recruitment.
In the meantime, let’s patiently wait for success mail or love letter and let this thread rest. We want update on the recruitment and not talks that don’t add up abeg |

tunlex01: For accountant, try applying for jobs and get sponsored by employer on 482 visa if you work in any of accounting big4s. Pathway for accountants is very slim due to the competitiveness of the occupation in Australia. We have too many accountants here I think it's better I stick to my Canada japa then as I am not in any of the big 4s. No need stressing myself on Australia for now. |

tshtsh: Software engineering role. Most interviews and assessment are done remotely these days. Kindly try and try I believe you'll get one. I have heard of two people who got employed into finance roles at HSBC and TD before landing in canada. Luckily the COPRs are now valid for a longer period of time hence giving candidates more time to plan their movement
On the other hand If you were earning in naira before your decision to move to canada you'll find that the exchange rate is very bad now (naira to usd or cad). Thus without an immediate source of income in canada you'll be spending your savings and the movement to canada will seem more like restarting life. I wanted a sort of continuity and not a restart hence I did not sell a single item or asset of mine rather I simply applied for PTA and travelled down to toronto. Started earning in less than a month. Thank you for this detailed response. I wish you the best over there. I’m also into data science, hopefully I try that route too |

tshtsh: Please preach the gospel. I see that people get so overwhelmed with the visa and ignore the job part which is also very crucial in my opinion. With the current labour shortage and "work from home" culture, you can get a job before arriving in canada. I accepted a job offer and rejected two before landing in canada. I basically landed two weeks before resumption to get a SIN and managed myself for one month (two weeks before job start date and two weeks into job) before I started earning in canada. What role were you employed while in Nigeria. I’m into finance, don’t really know how easy it is to get job in Canada from Nigeria |

I have written the test. I wish everyone the best of luck. Please note that the questions are not really similar to the past questions shared on this thread. The critical reasoning will be easy for those that have attempted psychometric tests before and the numerical is not too technical. Don't waste your time preparing, just go and write it and hope for the best. You can only prepare to boost your confidence, not with the hope of seeing repeated questions. Goodluck guys |

She is less than 30, with a single degree planning to write IELTS. I’m considering BCS exams. It’s cheaper than ACCA and CIMA and I learnt that WES doesn’t evaluate the results when you take exemptions from some of the papers. |

ednut1: do you have ican aca or aat If its aca - no points for you. Also with 2 years experience you cant get 50 points. To get 500 you will need french tef I have both AAT and ACA. Does WES evaluate AAT? I have over 2 years experience. I will be entering the pool later this year and my experience length will be 3 years by that time. |

Salientsinmi: Hello guys,
I see what you all are doing. I feel excited to be here and I know I will have my testimony from this thread also. I have read page 1 and I quite understand much details about the EE now but I have several areas where I am confused.
I noticed some people are saying something about having 600 scores and even above 500 points. How was that possible, please?
I did my estimate, the highest obtainable CRS for me should be 471; Age - 110, Two or more degrees/diplomas - 128, English - 133, Language proficiency - 50, and foreign work experience - 50. I need your help, how can I boost this?
please note my details below and advise on what I can do to be eligible to enter the pool with high CRS; My age: 26 Degree: Accounting Certification: Chartered Accountant (ICAN) Work Experience: over two years as an accountant IELTS: Speaking - 7.5, Listening - 8, Reading - 8, and Writing 7.5.
Please, I need your advice and your opinion if I need to get a BCS certificate despite being a chartered accountant. I want to japa when I am still young abeg
Thank you And if I should marry,as I'm planning to, will it make sense and add to my score? |

Does ICAN suffice? BNTtech: This is where obtaining an additional certificate comes in. There are many options from which you can choose, and which you can do in 6 months or less. I'm mostly knowledgeable about the BCS CIT; the next exam comes up in April (too late for you) & the next after that in October (all things being equal). The other I know is CIMA.
You can do more research on both, so that you can decide on which you want to do in the least possible time and at a cost you can afford. Also, be sure that you don't already have a certificate that WES can equally evaluate before going ahead to do a new one. All the best. |

MikeDewol: Lol. This company ghosted people in finance
A guy that works in finance dept of Nestle said they've concluded the recruitment and the successful ones have been picked
Only God knows the people Nestle CWAR is in the business of wasting candidates' time indeed. They know who they were going to onboard before they started the recruitment process. I knew from the start that it was all formality. It's not their first time, so I am not in any way surprised by their action. At least, they should send the love letter and let everyone knows their fate. God will help us all. |
