In 50 minutes you should be done with the test. The test is in, I think 6 stages. We have the aptitude, Microsoft excel, logic, and personality test in all of these stages.

For the excel part, you will have basic knowledge of excel to be able to answer it well. 20 questions for 10 mins.
For the aptitude, your quantitative skills must be apt to be able to attempt it well. Some parts are in a gamified mode.

In between, you will play brick game to test your problem-solving skills.

In the final aptitude test, you will have to answer 50 questions in 15minutes, I would advise you don't waste your time here. Answer what you know and move on. Of the 50 questions, you will have spatial reasoning, arithmetic, verbal reasoning, and logic. Answer as much as you can, I call it a speed test.

Overall, the assessment was fair. I wish every one of us the best.

P.S. Don't bother reading oo, your residual knowledge is enough as there is nothing to read for.

It is quite unfortunate that this thread does not prove to be useful to new candidates in the recruitment process. How can a thread b created since 2020 and all you can see is, "I have received a mail for the assessment", "I have been invited for an essay", "I have done an online video interview", and many other information that is not helping anyone?

Never knew people could be this selfish that sharing vital information about the recruitment process to help other candidates and future candidates is so difficult. No one talked about the structure of the assessment, the interview, or mentioned anything about the essay topic, quite pathetic.
For those that got in 2020 and withheld information, I hope you are satisfied with yourself now. Secondary school behavior, I would call it.

For a reason best known to Meristem, they didn't send the link for the assessment.
Could it be that the HR in charge forgot while celebrating Christ or scheduling today was an error?

I hope they don't reschedule the test to be on a work day o.

The answer to all your questions is YES. As long as you are focused on what you want, you can do anything.

As for your last question, you need to consider your work hours before taking other jobs cos if you're meant to be at a job within a particular time, whether there is work to do or not, you must be there. You also need to plan your schedule well to avoid overworking yourself.

You have experience with MTN. Please what can you say about contract staff working for them. Is there much benefits for them as well?

I'm in Exeter. I really can't say about the acceptance rate as I was guaranteed an admission based on my school grades (also got a partial scholarship) but regarding jobs, they are very plentiful in the retail sector especially. Formal, office work is harder to find because the city is on the smaller side so bear that in mind.

One thing you should also keep in mind is that the cost of accommodation is higher than usual because the city is quite touristy. Be sure to check prices on Spareroom and other sites so you can plan your budget accurately. The flip side is that because it's a smaller city with great pedestrian and biking infrastructure, you can walk everywhere (as long as you don't stay extremely far from school/work) so you'll likely spend much less on transport than you would in a larger city.
