I did my verbal part this evening, there are a lot of repeated passages. Some questions were a little bit twisted tho.

I will attempt the numerical part tomorrow.

The answer to all your questions is YES. As long as you are focused on what you want, you can do anything.

As for your last question, you need to consider your work hours before taking other jobs cos if you're meant to be at a job within a particular time, whether there is work to do or not, you must be there. You also need to plan your schedule well to avoid overworking yourself.

I hope this helps.

Thank you so much for this response

MTN is such a great place to work.
I worked in a Bank and MTN.
Everything is not about money, please don't miss the opportunity of looking forward to work every new day.

You have experience with MTN. Please what can you say about contract staff working for them. Is there much benefits for them as well?

Instead of creating a group, we can rather make this place active and let future applicants have something to learn from the present ones. Nairaland is sufficient, no need for WhatsApp.

I love the that this thread is very interactive. I have read through and I can say you are all doing well.

I have a few questions please and I would your response. If one should go through this route, can one enrol for a part-time study while doing the care support?

The other question is that, can I decide to change to a proper skilled job after a year or two of care support in a health?

Does healthcare support offer one a time to do freelancing work online, considering that one can be assigned a shift with no enough notice?

I will come back for answers. Thank you

It's an accounting related job. I was contacted by a recruiter via LinkedIn. I was scheduled for 2 interviews in succession and was offered employment.

Pretty straightforward!

Hello,

I hope you are now settled in the UK. I am an accountant too with certification and 2 years experience. I want to ask, were you contacted while you were here in Nigeria or you were already in the UK. if you don't mind, can I send you a mail?

Please how did you scale the first test, what materials did you use for preparation? What was your video interview question.

Hello,

Have you been called for the next stage?

I'm in Exeter. I really can't say about the acceptance rate as I was guaranteed an admission based on my school grades (also got a partial scholarship) but regarding jobs, they are very plentiful in the retail sector especially. Formal, office work is harder to find because the city is on the smaller side so bear that in mind.

One thing you should also keep in mind is that the cost of accommodation is higher than usual because the city is quite touristy. Be sure to check prices on Spareroom and other sites so you can plan your budget accurately. The flip side is that because it's a smaller city with great pedestrian and biking infrastructure, you can walk everywhere (as long as you don't stay extremely far from school/work) so you'll likely spend much less on transport than you would in a larger city.

Thank you for the response.

You spoke about scholarships. What do you think of the chance of someone hoping to study Finance with a 2:1 in Accounting (above 4.0 out of 5.0) and professional certifications in securing 50% to a full scholarship in Exeter? There is professional experience also.

Has anyone applied to the school here? How far their acceptance rate and jobs in the city?

I experienced similar thing yesterday and I retook the verbal from the beginning again today but with different questions that I saw yesterday. Good luck to us all.

Just finished mine
Was on number 15 in the verbal section when my laptop went off

I quickly put on the generator and switched my laptop back ON, luckily for me I was left with just 4 mins remaining and it seemed my webcam was no longer ON, so I just guessed the remaining 15 questions by picking CANNOT SAY because I was already destabilized so to start glancing through the passage which won't help that moment.

I have mailed them explaining what I faced, hopefully I get a good response soon.
