Celebrities › Very Dark Man To Nigerian Leaders: Invest In The Youth Like China by Salim27(op): 11:48am On Mar 11, 2025 |
Popular activist Very Dark Man has once again challenged Nigerian leaders, urging them to take real action in empowering the youth. In his latest video, he suggested that Nigeria should send at least 3,000 young people to China every year to learn from their rapid development and bring back solutions to improve the country.
Speaking from an automated bus, a symbol of China’s technological advancements, Very Dark Man pointed out that the Chinese government invests heavily in its youth, which is why they are leading in innovation, infrastructure, and economic growth.
A Simple but Powerful Idea for Nigerian Leaders
According to Very Dark Man, if Nigerian leaders truly want progress, they should: ✔ Select 3,000 promising Nigerian youths annually ✔ Send them to China to learn about technology, infrastructure, and innovation ✔ Ensure that they sign agreements to use their knowledge for Nigeria’s development
He believes this will fast-track Nigeria’s growth, just like China did with its own people decades ago.
Why Learning from China Matters
China transformed itself into a global powerhouse by investing in knowledge and technology. Very Dark Man argues that Nigerian leaders must take the same approach. Instead of relying on foreign experts, Nigeria can train its own youth and empower them to lead the country into a new era of progress.
Will Nigerian Leaders Listen?
The question remains—will Nigerian leaders take action, or will they continue to ignore solutions that could change the country? Very Dark Man’s challenge is clear: invest in the youth now, or risk Nigeria being left behind.
Do you think Nigerian leaders will consider this idea? Should Nigeria send 3,000 youths to China every year? Drop your thoughts in the comments! |
Education › NANS Threatens Showdown Over ASUU And FG Issues by Salim27(op): 4:41pm On Mar 17, 2022 |
The National Association of Nigerian Students NANS, has threatened to embark on a showdown with the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, if their demands are not met before the end of this month.
ASUU
National President, Asefon Sunday of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) released a statement about Wednesday’s meeting.
The meeting expressed disappointment in the Federal Government and ASUU for their lack of empathy for the plight of Nigerian students who suffer from this unnecessary show of strength.
In a statement released by the National Association of Nigerian Students, the organisation called for the immediate intervention of traditional and religious institutions to prevail on the federal government and ASUU to reopen our universities while they continue their negotiations. The group believes that every sector of nation will be negatively affected if this strike is not called off.
The NANS president call on the following NANS leaders who currently occupy political positions across the country to intervene and work with Federal Government and ASUU to end the strike.
NANS also urge the Federal Government and ASUU to reach a compromise by Monday 28th March 2022, or risk the nation’s anger. If a compromise is not reached before then, we hope that influential past leaders will lobby their friends in government and that the National Assembly will pass legislation making our public institutions work. Since they rejected the bill prohibiting public officers from sending their wards abroad, they have a responsibility to make our schools work. However, if they fail to do so, the public will respond appropriately.
Should the strike continue after our ultimatum, students across the country will resume to the new University created by the Federal Government and ASUU called The University of the Street, with Main Campus on the Airport Road, Annex Campuses in all the Major Roads in Abuja and Distance Learning Centres in all the Federal Roads across the 36 State of the Federation. I therefore direct students to bring their mattresses and cooking utensils while resuming in their new campus in Abuja and all the designated campuses across the country.
There won’t be any going back. Source : https://exammaterials.com.ng/nans-threatens-showdown-over-ASUU-and-fg-issues/

Education › JAMB Reschedule Mock Examination Date by Salim27(op): 9:50am On Mar 01, 2022 |
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has rescheduled the UTME Mock-Examination for candidates who registered for the 2022 UTME examination. The board announced this on Monday, 28 February via its JAMB-Bulletin weekly publication. The mock UTME will now take place on Saturday, 9th April 2022, and not Saturday,16th April 2022, as earlier scheduled.
JAMB Said it make this change after realising that 16th April 2022, earlier chosen, is Easter Saturday, a day celebrated by the Christian faithful as a Holy Saturday as it ends the Lenten Season and falls on the day before Easter Sunday. It would be recalled that the Board was to begin its registration for the 2022/23 UTME/DE exercise on Saturday, 12th February 2022, but had to push the exercise to Saturday, 19th of February, 2022. The one-week extension had similarly affected the date for the Mock-UTME which also had to be rescheduled. The Board, as a responsive organisation, would at all times, continue to act in the best interests of Nigerians. Therefore, all candidates who wish to register early so as to sit the Mock UTME are to kindly note the change of date.
It is particularly important to note that this exercise will only be conducted by those who have completed their registration process and also chose to sit for the mob up test. Candidate must have a photocopy of their reprinted slip ready for this exercise. Please note that your mock score will not be added to the official score of your UTME. This mock is only for preparation purposes. |

Politics › Re: Have Nigerians Seen Only One Fuel Scarcity Under Buhari As Femi Adesina Claimed? by Salim27(m): 7:15pm On Feb 24, 2022 |
backbencher: I'm not eager to give him kudos.
The honest truth is that if he had removed subsides on petrol completely, the problem would have been solved a long time ago, and we would have had an extra, at least an extra 6-8 trillion naira in money for budgetary spending between 2015-date.
Instead, we have a subsidy monster that needs lots of money and is not satisfied. Last year, we spent 2 trillion naira on subsidy, one trillion more than the previous year, and this year, we are set to spend 3 trillion naira more on subsidies..and the amount may grow before the year runs out due to rising oil prices.
The thing is, at the end of the day, the only way to end scarcity is by removing price controls on petrol, and ending subsidy payments so that the petroleum sector would be incentivized to build refineries at home.Meaning we won't be importing fuel again...and running the risk of importing substandard fuel
Also, profits made would be enough to build and maintain, and upgrade refinereies at home of a better standard than the substandard ones where we refine fuel in Europe....fuel so dirty that it is among the worst in the world.
Niger Republic, our northern neighbor, has had no subsidy for ages. Fuel sells for N350 per liter. They make a profit, and can export fuel to 3 countries from their single refinery. you have said it all Man |
