You should also know that there are some people who didn't go to "school" and aren't doing well. To me, everything is balance. Get that education, develop your talents. Be a well rounded individual, not bookish. See, I implore you not to get your kids educated and when I mean "educated" I also mean informal education. School shouldn't be limited the four walls of a classroom or college. That girl wey dey learn work for hair dresser salon, na school she dey oh. That Igbo boy wey dey serve him oga na school I'm dey. If I remember correctly Project Fame academy was modelled like a school. Chidinma only dropped out of one school to get admitted into another. Wise decision because the new system helped her honed her talents/ strengths. That's the type of school we should all aim for.

Ugosample:
if you had taught your teenage /young adult kid on contraceptive, she most likely would not have gotten pregnant, or your boy won't go getting someone pregnant

African parenting to me is a useless form of parenting that does not take into a/c reality


in the world of today, (it has always been like that, but is more pronounce today) young adults are very very sexually active, whether Muslim or Christian or even budda.

So training your kids on the REALITY (abstainance is the best, but if you MUST, Protection and contraceptives should suffice) is much more effective than the so called "African parenting.


Look at the morally bankrupt societies we have back home in Africa
Does that show that the parenting is effective?




And thats why I always tellevsry one that listen that my old mother is the best

She will train you based on REALITY to the chagrin of her own mum
