Shymm3x:
@Coogar
I just found an academic link on the internet that has some of the recorded slaves sold into the new world and the regions they were brought in from. This is the link: https://tracingafricanroots./

You can check the records to see how Bight of Biafra and Kongo dominated the number of the early slaves - up until the 19th century, when the Yoruba internecine wars started.

I wasn't even there, when it happened. came in n saw him crying. its not about me, its his character. my anger was that, how can u keep quiet n u are in dangerhuh oya bring cane come flog me ooo. My dear am not a wicked mother n can never be. Am trying to be a better mum. I have really learnt a lot here. If am wicked, the brother should have been scared of me as well.
then something is obviously not right. Do you disgrace him in the presence of his brother or compare him to his brother or buy things for only his brother and leave him out instead of buying for him to. Like do you show favouritism to his brother and leave him out .Please draw him closer and apologise for all the WICKEDNESS you have metted out on him because trust me kids can carry such memory for years and resent you meanwhile you won't know. The day one thing leads to the other and you ask why did you do this he will say did you remember what you did to me when I was a kid

No, for keeping quiet.
the point is its not normal for even an adult to bear that amount of pain and even keep quiet talk more of a child. For Him to keep quiet it means he's afraid of expressing his feelings because he knows you'll hit him again embarassed

You'll be a very vicious mother inlaw o

As in ehn, as I am reading these sef I am close to tears, this boy is really suffering in his house. Aww that small baby needs parental love nd care
That's where all this wife beaters get their behaviour from

any small thing gba any small thing gbo because their mother is teaching them that they should use violence to react to any small misunderstanding.even you as an adult how will you feel if your husband intimidated you so bad that you cannot even express how you feel again and then he mistakenly slammed the door at your hand and then beat you for not voicing out. You too take pin and pinch yourself and know how it feels like before doing it to another person na

op you go be very wicked step mother and scary mil o

sorry jare as the thing pain me reach ni.na op get that one no be you

@op do you know what you are doing is very dangerous. By the time he grows a thick skin to your impulsive beating he will become unnecessarily aggressive over sensitive and touchy as an adolescent with zero self esteem. Besides you're sending a wrong message that beating solves everything

is when he gets to secondary school you will begin to see the manifestation of everything you've done for that boy. When he and his classmate have a disagreement he believes violence will solve the matter (because that's what you have taught him)

When you are called from home to come and pick your son who has beaten his classmate to coma you'll know what's up

You made very good points. Laziness and entitlement mentality. It's not only in akwa ibom its every where. The period when youths are meant to engage in something productive even if it's selling cotton bud like the 12 year old young man, they'll rather engage in pickpocketing and other forms of domestic crimes then when a young chap eventually succeed in his hustle they become jealous and attribute his success to jazz and before you know it they begin to scheme of ways to pull him down. If they ask for money and the guy rather shows them how to catch fish. They'll say he's stingy and proud.

We have a very long way to go in nigeria. There are so many things about us that needs to be changed as a society
Chidoks:
good point.human capital developement is lacking over here.this is where education comes in .by education u nean formal and informal education .the government should bring back our technical schools.they should out number the grammer schools.let skill acquisation be the in thing.
our youths shoukd also be re-oriented.they must realize that you cannot makecit in life by betting.100 naira can never, will never and must never fetch 1000000 naira.it is preposterous.the government should do thw next generation the favour of banning those football betting centers.it is a corruption.let no man dash anybody money.let every kobo in your pocket be earned.we need attitudinal change all of us especiakly the youths.come to akwa ibom nobody is ready to work.they wouldn't go to school.they wouln't settle down to learn a trade.i'm sorry i mentioned a place but i have never seen such laxity before.yes hausas' beg, but the ones that are not ready to beg do business or work .while here, only few work and the rest indulge in 'sharp practices' , intimidations, and petty thievery for survival. (sorry i deviated a bit).the koko be say we all , the govetnment the citizens need serious attitudinal change. ka Chineke mezie okwu!

If you're in the habit of perpetually disgracing your son indoors or slapping him at the slightest provocation don't expect him to behave like a sharp kid at home

some mothers are in the habit of calling their children names like olodo
stoopeed child
is it not your mate that came first in class
useless boy

Because he failed a question you asked him or his result was poor

bottom line is you have done something to make him loose his confidence and self esteem around you that's why you will see some children looking so bright and smart in school and around their teachers because their teacher has made him feel loved and respected and even encouraged him to try harder when he fails but the moment he gets home he becomes dense because you cannot see the best in anybody in an environment of fear . make him feel comfortable at home and never mock him even if he fails. Don't compare him to any child in private or public

All this African way of training children is why you'll see kids being abused but will be too scared to talk at home. You no dey see Oyinbo children ni

We are not rich. Though we have a lot of natural resources, we also have a really large population so there's not enough to go around.
we are supposed to capitalize on our human population to our advantage na.america no get population ni? After all they make everyone fit in to one place or the other

I believe every nigerian is useful and can contribute to the benefit of his society ONLY IF HE IS EMPOWERED. given an education and a life and see him blossom

Seun don't listen to the lies that nigeria is not rich. What of our natural resources shocked
