simply goto setup(press f10 if hp laptop)

find :NATIVE SATA MODE
or anything SATA
then
DISABLE THE SETTINGS, and re-install, simple
or simply meet an expert that can use a slip stream cd to bypass it
but really, why do u need vista, it sucks,
XP is better, but if u like the vista graphics, theres a software that can simulate vista appearance,icons in xp(u will think its vista)
