Politics / Before You Go Out And Join The Strike On Wednesday by samobaba(m): 11:39am On May 14, 2016
Jasper Azualatam wrote:

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DID NOT REMOVE SUBSIDY BECAUSE THERE IS NO SUBSIDY AT #86.5 PUMP PRICE OF FUEL

Before you go to protest against the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government, be informed that the government did not remove any subsidy because there was no subsidy to be removed in the first place! So don't go and protest against what does not exist. Seek information and be informed.

This is what the government has done. The government has simply stopped giving foreign exchange to fuel importers and has asked them to source for foreign exchange through secondary sources.
Why has the pump price of fuel increased from #86.5 to between #135 and #145? This is specifically as a result of the difrence between the official exchange rate and the informal (parallel) market exchange rate. This is the simple mathematics.
The official exchange rate is #199 per dollar while the parallel market exchange rate is #320 per dollar. This represents and increase of 37% (320-199/320 × 100 = 37.8%). This reflected exactly in the new price of petrol as it increased from #86.5 to an averag of #140 which is an increase of 38% (140 - 86.5/140 ×100 = 38%).

There may be a gap in the dissemination of information to the public and it is totally regrettable and I am sure it will be taken care of, but I encourage Nigeians to seek the right information.
I have always insisted that there was nothing like fuel subsidy and I stand by that. The Federal government cannot continue to be the sole source of foreign exchange for the importation of fuel in the face of falling price of crude resulting in the depletion of our foreign reserve. It unsustainable and cannot satisfy the domestic consumption of fuel in Nigeria.

Nigeria gets foreign currency from the sell of crude and the price of crude has fallen by over 70%. This means that the government no long has enough dollars to give to fuel importers. A lame man shoud be able to understand this.

With the competition that will set in from the open market, it s expected that the pump price of fuel will naturally crash in time.

Please share and enlighten every Nigerian.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Is Jobberman A Scam? by samobaba(m): 6:41am On May 02, 2016
I can say here boldly that jobberman is not a scam! I got two jobs through jobberman in 2014 and whenever I see a fantastic vacancy I apply and have been getting call for interviews.
The problem is jobberman can not know the genuineness of the advertisers. For example someone came they are recruiting for the position of Account officer. Meanwhile they are GLND. You applied for the position of account officer and you are later invited for a GLND interview. But you must know jobberman is real. They advertisers are the problem

Politics / 7 Division Garrison Intercepted Suicide Bombers (Grpahic Pictures included) by samobaba(m): 5:56am On Mar 26, 2016
7 DIVISION GARRISON INTERCEPTED SUICIDE BOMBERS

The ever alert and vigilant troops of 7 Division Garrison based in Maiduguri, in conjunction with Civilian JTF averted yet another suicide attack on the innocent citizens in Borno State today.

The troops intercepted 2 female suicide bombers at about 1.20am this morning, almost 100 metres south of Umurari village, outskirts of Maiduguri.

However, one of the suicide bombers on sighting own troops detonated her explosive device, killing herself instantly, while the second bomber in an attempt to escape was gunned down by one of the Garrison snipers.

The combined team of Nigeria Police and Nigerian Army’s Explosive Ordinance Device team safely detonated the unexploded Improvised Explosive Devices strapped on the gunned down suicide bomber.

It is important to state that there was no casualty beyond the two suicide bombers. Presently, the troops and the Civilian JTF deployed in the village are now combing the general area to forestall further breach of security.

The situation in the area is calm and law abiding citizens are going about their normal activities without fear.

You please requested to disseminate this information to the public through your medium.

Thank you for your kind cooperation.

Politics / Re: Ambode Has Just Sold Us To The Hausas In Mile 12 by samobaba(m): 5:30pm On Mar 06, 2016
The guy man eventually entered Agiliti but was too scared to come out of his car. He came with his convoy and turned back. These people are insensitive to people feeling. If Ambode father had built a house in Agiliti would he not have come down? Yoruba are the real enemies of yoruba. We are the most gullible. Imagine during this crisis ourr people saved Hausa children but Hausa killed our own children.
Are we saying we are the nicest people on earth without having any love for ourselves? I am yoruba and an Omoluabi but it's time to give unto Ceasar what belongs to Ceasar and give unto God what belong to God
Politics / Ambode Has Just Sold Us To The Hausas In Mile 12 by samobaba(m): 12:52pm On Mar 06, 2016
With great pain in our heart, we felt rejected and trampled upon on this day 6th of March, 2016 when the rights and hope of the yoruba people residing in Maidan and Agiliti were jettisoned by the Governor of Lagos on his proposed visitation to mile 12, vis Agiliti and Maidan today. Having stood in the scorching sun for hours waiting for Ambode, we found out he has just been dissuaded from visiting the scene of the riot by the Hausa leaders in mile 12.
To this end we say
(1)We don't want mile 12 market any longer.
(2) No more Okada riders in Agiliti
(3) Mile 12 market should be relocated to its proposed site.
Failure on the side of Government to give us this will result in us fighting for our right in the best means known to us.

We regret the government of APC in Lagos state.

Let any sane minded person tell us if a responsible government will not visit the following site if he indeed cares about the people he governs

Politics / Re: Mr. Godwin Emefiele’s Report: by samobaba(m): 10:56am On Feb 25, 2016
I am working seriously on removing these stupid mentality from my system immediately I saw this post.
I believe the right time to change is now.
Politics / Mr. Godwin Emefiele’s Report: by samobaba(m): 8:13am On Feb 25, 2016
Mr. Godwin Emefiele’s Report:
Quote
“It is either I do not understand economics and how exchange rates work or a vast majority of us Nigerians still don’t get how
we have wrecked our country with our own curious choices. Just this morning, I was listening to the radio and the lady on air went on and on about how she thought CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele was incompetent and should be sacked because the Naira was now exchanging at 309 or so to the USD.
“That view pretty much echoes the sentiments expressed by many people I know and it amazes me that there are Nigerians who actually think there is some magic POLICY that can make the Naira strong in the
near term. If my economics and my understanding of the way the world works are right, then that is as far from the truth as Jesus Christ is black.
“The simple fact of the matter is that apart from oil that accounts for over 90% of our revenues, we really don’t have much of an
economy. We hardly produce anything, we import even toothpicks, so exactly what
policy is going to be implemented that will turn Nigeria into a top exporting economy in the near term? Where are our Apples, IBMs, Disneys, GMs, General Electrics, Coca Colas, EmpireState buildings, Statues of Liberties, Lockheeds, Citibanks, JP Morgans, ExxonMobils, NBAs, Super Bowls etc? Let me bringthat closer home.
“There was a time long ago when Nigeria had a truly strong economy and the naira was one
to the dollar – even exchanged for higher than the USD, but that Nigeria is not this Nigeria. Sadly that Nigeria was laid by the
British, and this Nigeria (if you don’t believe in the nonsensical imperialist conspiracies like me)– fueled by the DAMAGING
Indigenization Decree, has been the creation of us Nigerians. Back then we had a booming
economy.
We were either the top, or among the top exporters, of timbre, cocoa, groundnuts, rubber, palm oil, etc, in the world. Nigerians
not only holidayed at home in their villages, at Yankari Games Reserve, at Obudu Cattle Ranch, at Oguta Lake, at Ikogosi
springs, at Gurara Falls, at Mambilla Platueau, etc, we attracted international tourists who brought in loads of foreign exchange. Even Nigerian schools were foreign exchange earners because they attracted foreign
students.
“We had different car assembly plants – Peugeot, Volkswagen, Anamco etc. Nigerian
government officials only bought vehicles assembled in Nigeria for official cars. We had a thriving sports industry. We were not Man
United or Chelsea fans, we were Rangers or IICC fans. We had the Nduka Odizors, people mademoney from sports. We also had
companies like Lennards and Bata producing school shoes in their thousands, we had the
thriving Nigerian Airways and the Aviation School in the north that produced some of the best pilots in the world.
In those days if you were brilliant you were respected much more than the crass money-miss-road contractors of today. Most of the
Aje Butters I knew had fathers who were university dons. Back then it meant something to ‘know book’. Our textile industry was alive and well. Just recently I
watched a news report on the textile industry in Nigeria on CCTV News. Though the main
focus was on the comatose status of the industry, I was stunned by the gigantic Kaduna Textile Mill built in 1957. I could
go on and on.
“Today however, no thanks to our parents (and we must call them out the way Wole Soyinka did his generation) and many of us (and we should be remembered for failing our children if we continue like this), we have destroyed everything. Today for instance
Nigerian football (which comes easy to me obviously) doesn't appeal to us, we have to fly across thousands of miles to watch ‘our’ clubs play. Every year we collectively burn billions of Naira being fans of clubs that give us nothing back, but some ‘entertainment value’ – simple pleasures for which we are ready to destroy the future of our
children.

“Well people, payback time is here. Even with our ta-she-re money we all want to wear
designer clothes and carry designer bags, Armani, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton etc. We all want to drive jeeps with American specs,
our children must now school overseas and acquire the necessary accents to come back
home and bamboozle their ‘bush and crass’ contemporaries that they left behind. Who holidays in Nigeria anymore, is there
Disneyland here? No one buys made-in-Nigeria school bags for their children, after all noSuperman or Incredible Hulk or
Cinderella on them.
“We are no longer top exporters of anything and the demise of oil means we have zilch… zero. A country of 170M fashion- conscious people has no textile industry. We take delight inshowing how our made-in-
Switzerland Aso Ebi is different class to everyone else’s. When we help our musicians grow and pay them millions, they repay us
by immediately shipping the monies overseas to produce their “i-don-dey-different-level” music videos. It makes no difference
that distinctly Zulu dancers are dancing to a Nigerian highlife song.
“As stars concerned they also wed and holiday overseas to impress us all. All the musicianswho acknowledge their Ajegunle
roots now speak in a cocktail of strange accents to symbolise how much they have blown their monies overseas. Were we a
more serious people, the highly popular Kingsway Stores of the past would probably have a thousand outlets pan Nigeria today supporting a massive agriculture industry among others, but today we have the
likes of SPAR, Shoprite, dominating the retail industrywhile Kingsway is dead.
“And we Nigerians make it a special point to shop from the Oyinbos who have ‘cleaner
shops’, ‘better this and better that’. For our personal pleasure we don’t mind them dominating us in our own backyard and
shipping proceeds overseas. I could go on and on, but I don tire. Even as you are reading this, stop for a moment and look
around you. What you see will probably explain why we are lucky it is not N1000 to the USD yet. And don’t think for a moment that it cannot get there. “Just continue to wear your Armani gear and Swiss-made
lace, continue to spend your money on Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Barca and
encourage your children to do same. (My article tomorrow in my Saturday column in This Day is on the Nigerian champions
Enyimba FC – Nigeria’s most successful club – not having a sponsor, yet Nigerian brands pay
over N600m to Man United and Arsenal for sponsorship to impress us.) Ehhh, no problem, continue to tell me the NPFL is
rubbish or the clubs should clean up their act if they want sponsorship, mo gbo .
“Don’t curtail your interest in choice wines ( we were the number one champagne consumers in the world in 2015), continue to love your American specs, cheer the education ministry for letting schools sink
to pitiable levels, don’t fight them to improve our schools, don’t chide them for letting schools drop Nigerian history and embrace British, America and whatever else curricular.
“Carry on with your love of French wines and Chinese silk, don’t bother about Jamiu Alli
when there is Roger Federer.
Stock up on your Italian, American, British products which you cannot live without, including the ‘baby soft’ toilet rolls
produced only in that small unique village in England – the days are long gone since you
were a broke student who used wet newspapers to wipe your butt.
“Don’t even consider holidaying in Nigeria, it’s too dangerous – you have to fulfill your dream of being Nigeria’s Henry Ford. Don’t
listen to people like me who have a wardrobe full of only cheap adire that is actually cheaper than just one of your Tom Ford
blazers. Please keep dressing in fine silk made in some exotic place so you can be addressed accordingly.
“Finally keep letting corrupt leaders who have looted your commonwealth and shipped all
the monies overseas get away because to attack them does not fit your political narrative. Let us continue with the fine life, let us all continue to work for Oyinbo.
But don’t forget that there is payback time and Emefiele is not your problem. Time for us all to look in the mirror and take
responsibility"

OMOLUABI......By Pius Adesanmi.
“Hello, Chief, Chief, Chief, can you hear me?”
“Yes, hello, I can hear you? Who is on the line?”
“Chief emi ni o. High Chief Falae in Akure.”
“Ah, Chief Chief! E ku ojo meta o. It’s been three days o.”
“Ojo kan pelu. It’s been more than three days jare Chief. How’s Lagos? Has your Governor arrived yet?”
“Ibo lo lo to nbo de? Where did he go that he will be arriving from Chief? He is like his predecessors. Abeg, Chief, let’s forget travelers without destination and talk about better things. Roli and I planned to come and visit you after you were released by those Fulani herdsmen. We thank God for your life o.”
“Thank you jare Chief Bode. I am yet to find the mouth with which to tell my story. Yoruba land would have gone to war if anything had happened to me. Imagine Fulani hoodlums kidnapping me on my own farm in Yoruba land! A whole me!”
“Exactly, Chief. We would not have taken it at all from those yeye Fulani. Because they are now in power, they think they can behave anyhow on Yoruba soil. Buhari does not know how to treat Yoruba elder statesmen. Maybe it is because they do not have omoluabi where he comes from. Jonathan has a little omoluabi in him. I have a theory that there must have been a little trace of Yoruba blood in his great grandfather. Whereas Buhari is hounding us with his Fulani herdsmen, Jonathan invaded Yoruba land with two billion dollars during the election and did omoluabi to all the elders of the land.”
“Kai, Chief Bode, dapada! Which omoluabi is Jonathan? He is not an omoluabi o. Asiri okunrin buruku yen ti tu. That is in fact why I have called you. They have no elders where Jonathan comes from.”
“Chief Falae sir, I’m afraid you’ve lost me.”
“Chief Bode, ki ni o ye yin ninu oro mi? What is so difficult to understand in what I am saying? Have you noticed that all of us elder statesmen were shortchanged in the Dasuki business? Look at Chief Anenih, Alhaji Tanko Yakassai, and the two of us. Look at the ridiculous figures we all got. And we were even mandated to spread our own omoluabi down the chain o. Now, look at what all these small small boys got. See ordinary Iyorchia Ayu…”
“Ah, my Chief, you have a point o. E ma de tun ri yen so o. I was surprised when I heard what Iyorchia got for special consultations.”
“Chief, kekere ma tie ni ti Iyorchia. The most painful part for me was hearing what this small boy got. Ki ni won ti n pe boy amugbo yen na? What’s his name again? That boy who ran Jonathan’s campaign?”
“Chief, you mean that former Aviation Minister? The one who bought a Range Rover for…?”
“Ehen, thank you! God bless you, Chief Bode. Yes, the boy who bought a Range Rover for his girlfriend. I had initially thought that that was all he got from Jonathan o. Now I am hearing that he got far more than us, his elders. He got about N1.7 billion. And that is not counting what he said he got from private donors o. Ha, Chief, won ti je wa m’aiye! They have cheated us!”
“Chief Falae, now that you put it this way, I am getting really angry. But, unlike you, I won’t blame Jonathan sir”
“Why not, Chief George?”
“Well, Jonathan is not our son in Yoruba land. He does not understand omoluabi principles. That Range Rover boy ni mo ri ba wi. It is the fault of the Range Rover boy. He has no proper Yoruba home training. Otherwise, he would have understood that when an outsider gives him more yams than his elders, he should take the said yams to his elders and say, “my fathers, I want you to have these yams”. We would then take the yams and give him small out of it. That is the proper omoluabi way to treat elders. Instead, he lets us hear on the pages of newspapers that he got more than all of us combined. Chief, I am really worried about what the young men of nowadays are doing to our culture in Yoruba land. Our values are lost. No respect for elders.”
“In that case, what do you suggest we do, my Chief.”
“Good question, I say we summon him to a meeting at your end in Akure tomorrow and tell him to repair his omoluabi lesekese. He must address the situation at once!”
(The following day, the two Yoruba elder statesmen are in Akure. They wear mournful faces. The Range Rover boy arrives in a long convoy. He descends from his car, dressed in full Igbo war regalia. As he approaches the two elders, he is chanting “nzogbu nzogbu enyimba enyi”.)
“Hey, hey, hey, will you stop singing that Igbo war chant? Where do you think you are? What do you think you are doing? Se ori e pe sha Femi? Are you okay?”
“My Fathers, I apologize. You summoned me from the war front. I came straight from the war front because I hold you in such high esteem.”
“War front?”
“Yes sir. We are fighting for Biafra. It’s Biafra or nothing. It’s a cause we are prepared to die for. We are tired of being oppressed in Nigeria.”
“We? Biafra? You are Biafra?”
“Yes, Chief, we are oppressed. We will not take it. We will fight Buhari to a standstill”
“Ha! Ikunle o! Who did this to you, Femi? You said you were a specialist in sleeping with their women. A tie gbo yen. When did you become a specialist in fighting their battles?”
“Chief, how I chose to fight for my people is not your business. Why did you summon me here sir?”
“Well, Chief Falae and I were talking about how you Yoruba youth of nowadays have thrown away our omoluabi values.”
“How so sir?”
“We now have a rough idea of your total Dasuki haul. Laarin ara wa, between us, does it make sense to you that a small boy like you should have gotten more than your elders? We want to give you an opportunity to repair your omoluabi. Jonathan and Dasuki are not Yoruba. They can be excused for not understanding these omoluabi things. Once they gave you more yams than us, what was the proper Yoruba thing for you to do?”
“I don’t know sir?”
“You don’t know? Chief, you see now? The Yoruba youth of nowadays are ignorant of our culture. You ought to have brought your share to us, your elders, and we would have done redistribution based on age.”
“Chief Bode George."
“Yes”
“Chief Bode George”
“Yes, Femi”.
“Chief Bode George”
“Yes, Femi, mo nda e lohun. I am answering you now.”
“Thank you Daddy. E ma binu sir o, how many times did I call you?”
“Three times, Femi. You called me three times.”
“Thank you, Daddy. I want to ask you sir, is Baba Obasanjo your elder sir? Is he older than you?”
“What kind of stupid question is that? Chief Falae, can you hear this boy? Of course, Baba Obasanjo is my elder. He is older than me.”
“Thank you sir. When you got away with N80 billion by splitting contracts at the Nigerian Ports Authority and Baba Obasanjo wanted his own share, did you take it to him for omoluabi redistribution based on age? When you do omoluabi to Baba Obasanjo from your old ports haul, I will do omoluabi to you from my Dasuki haul sir.”
“Femi, omo ale ni e! You are a bastard!”
“Wahala ti yin niyen sir. That is your own problem. I have to leave you now sir. I have to return to the war front to liberate my people from Nigeria.”
(He rises up and leaves the two stunned Yoruba elders, chanting nzogbu nzogbu to his Range Rover.)
Me:
If deployed properly, Nigerians are quite creative on all fronts. We grew intellectually lazy and easy money through corruption seemed better but now we can see how that easy path robbed us of so much! We hope to get back to form.

FOOLISH IS NOT IGBO!!!

Read what former Chief of Army staff , IHEJIRIKA WROTE ON HIS FACEBOOK WALL :

FOOLISH IS NOT IGBO!!!

For 6 years our own occupied the offices of Deputy Senate President, Deputy Speaker, SGF, Minister of Finance /Coordinating Minister of the Nigerian Economy, Ministers of Health, Aviation, Labour, Petroleum (by Marriage), Chief of Army Staff etc yet nobody complained that the Igbos got too much of the Federal Power rations neither did your highly placed brethren improve your lot in terms of development!

Other ethnic groups watched carefully and played their politics towards national relevance while we the Igbos got carried away and played politics of the pocket where semi-illiterate money bags charted the cause for us!

Those who have access to Aso Rock and got fat contracts sustained the lies to hoodwink both Aso Rock Gods and the Igbos. In blind response devoid of any logical reasonings the Igbos put all their fragile eggs in one basket that had lost form and shape to protect them.
As the results of those fatal errors set in the same money miss roads are now fanning the ambers of secession as their next meal ticket bargaining chip while the teaming youth they lure with money and lies risk losing everything including their lives for nothing in the end.
Compare the Igbo TAN money bags and/or failed politicians to the likes of Aliko Dangote, Mike Adenuga, Femi Otedola who are hardly seen or heard playing partisan talk less of ethno-religious politics!
Imagine Dangote gathering the leaders of Northerners in Lagos and imposing political party or candidate in Lagos State politics on them. Such is near impossible!
The Igbos have allowed derogatory pocket politics to puncture their natural nobility as a people!

With men of honour and class like Ebitu Ukaiwe, Emeka Anyaoku, Ndubisi Kanu, Ben Nwabueze and others the Igbos should have no business listening to the likes of Ifeanyi Uba (Capital Oil), Chris Uba etc any time they talk politics!

Politics / Dambazau May Turn Down Buhari Appointment, Refuses To Resume Work - See More At: by samobaba(m): 10:58pm On Nov 12, 2015
The newly appointed Minister of Internal Affairs, Abdulrahman Dambazau, may reject the portfolio assigned to him by President Muhammadu Buhari, even as he has refused to resume to the Federal Ministry of Interior given to him.

Dambazau had been speculated to be the minister of defence but his expectation were not met

24 hours after his inauguration, the minister has refused to visit the ministry.

Our reporter observed the staff of the ministry lamenting publicly on Thursday about the minister refusal to resume.

The Minister was sworn in alongside other 35 ministers by
the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday and was directed to hit the ground running immediately.

However, as at the time of filing this report on Thursday evening, the minister is yet to resume at his duty post.

He was expected to arrive at the Ministry on Wednesday evening to meet with senior staff of the Ministry and the press immediately after his inauguration but after keeping them waiting for hours, he didn’t show up.

Again, he was expected to hold same meeting on Thursday
morning but he postponed it to 1:00pm at the eleventh hour.

With all the service chiefs of the parastatals under the Ministry already seated, a message was sent in around 2:00 pm that the meeting has again been postponed to 4:00 pm.

The Director of Press of the Ministry, Isiaka Yusuf told
Newsmen that the Minister had to postpone his resumption
in order to honour the invitation of the President to attend
the swearing in of the new permanent secretaries at the
state house.

Politics / Published As Received" How To Actualise The Biafra State by samobaba(m): 7:08am On Nov 10, 2015
Dear Biafrans I support ur struggle 100% but my problem is your approach. I would want to suggest the following procedures and I can assure you its going to work out successfully. if you can unite and follow the following steps. Then I can tell, welcome to the Republic of Biafra in advance.
STEP 1
Withdraw all your services from Nigeria and render the Nigerians as you are the backbone of the country
STEP 2
Withdraw your kinsmen who are Public Office Holders e.g Ike Ekweremadu, Deputy Senate President, Peter Obi the DG of SEC
STEP 3
Reject all the ministerial nominations from the so called Nigeria.
STEP 4
Endeavour to reject Federal Allocations. You are very industrious people you will be better off without it
STEP 5
Stop all form of importation through the Nigerian sea ports, so that Nigeria will crumble without your Taxes
STEP 6
Recall all your sons and daughters from all parts of Nigeria to relocate to home until this fight is over then Nigeria can beg them to come back as Expatriate
STEP 7
Lock up all your shops in Idumota, Alaba international, Kano main markets, and every other market even in the remote villages across the country.
STEP 8
Go beyond closing of the Niger bridge stop all Nigerians from buying or selling in Onitsha Main market or Ariaria market in Aba.
STEP 9
Make sure you make your Visa very hard for Nigerians.
STEP 10
This fight can be achieved without Violence just like south Sudan. Finally, make sure you don't fight it with weapons.
Igbo kwenu!!! Hee!!!.
