Have you been on 5% before? It's pretty straight forward.
Take this scenario.
V. I to ikeja @ 5% Fee- ₦3,000 Bolt-₦150 Your earnings - 2850
But I said bolt app by default deducts 20%
So you have something like this
In app payment - : ₦3,000 Bonus (15%). + ₦. 450 Bolt commision - . ₦ 600
Balance. ₦2850
This does not include the bla Bla bla you received. ![grin](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/grin.png)
Hope you catch d drift
OK now I understand cos I dey always see that they still deduct the 20% |

Hmmm... Ok, I get it now.
But in any case what ever rocks once boat is fine.
The conclusion of the whole matter is, non of them is good over the other rather all of them are useless.
Can imagine Uber laying false alligations simply because they don't want to give me the 3% incentives even after completing 20 trips. I just weak, no moral to go out now self.
Honestly, I've lost trust in bolt else I would have turn on my bolt app and hit the road right away.
Still looking for a motivation. That's Uber for you. They did same to me that's why I potted to BOLT. 2 Likes |

Olayetan:
5% Commission or 5% Commission bonus?
Have you observed after meeting up with the trip requirement to activate the commission, your subsequent trips gets bonus that would be added to your earnings. What does that bonus mean to you?
This people are scamming us with confused grammar.
Literally, what they mean with 5% commission bonus is, you get 5% commission on every trip fare you embark which to be added to your earnings while they remove their own normal 20% commission so meaning you are paying 15% commission on your trips after meeting up with their requirements....
If you are doubting, try to do calculations when you hit the number of trips required to activate it then note your 1st subsequent trip after meeting up and calculate 5% of that trip, you will notice its that amount that is added as bonus to your earnings and also calculate the 20% of that same trip and you will notice the 20% is what is added to their outstanding commission....
This is what I've been telling people that the 5% is a scam. All bolt do is to add 5% back to your earnings which simply means you're paying 15% but people don't know. Don't ever compare 30% of Uber with whatever % bolt displays on your app in that regards, Uber is far Better 1 Like |

Exactly many people don't know that the result is not a problem, one can even get it immediately you click the submit button, the issue is more than scoring high. There are many factors that's gonna be considered, Federal character, specialization etc and one can't rule out politics, the in-house fighting esp from the Senator Chairing the committee on Customs is enough headache for them. The most important thing is to pray to see our names on the list, they might shortlist about 6 to 8 thousand candidates for physical screening from which the number will be further pruned down. I remember in 2012 when I applied for POLICE ICT SPECIALIST, we did the test in Abuja and we saw our results instantly. Funny enough those who scored higher marks didn't made the police list. The most surprising thing was that 9 of my coursemates from university participated and we all knew what we scored. One of us didn't even study ICT related COURSE, he was of the mech Engr and by the time we saw the list, his name surfaced with two other mates. Those who scored high marks couldn't find their names. Today the three of them are two stars Supo of Police and I'm happy for them. 7 Likes |

AngryIgboMan: Guys the fact is that Lagos have casted. All the Yorubas are in Lagos. They have left there states to come live in Lagos. Igbos will go back home for Christmas and as thèy are coming back now, they will load more relations and bring along. Let me not even talk about Hausas and Northerners. Those ones come in trailers and Gwongworos. Everyone wants to hustle in Lagos.
Yesterday on Uber, I took a trip from Ajah to Ikotun on Uber 3 percent. Traffic na die! Journey was over 6 hours and money was over 10k.
All my life, I have never been through such a terrible road. I wonder how people survive in that Ikotun axis.
Akute na die, Ikotun na die, Ijegun na die, Kirikiri, Old Ipaja road na die. Even going back to Ikeja, I had to pass through some terrible roads again. These things are no longer roads. They are erosions and craters.
Honestly, Uber and Bolt no be work. Its just something to put food on the table. I know people that do less work and earn far higher.
If you are a driver and you are still paying an owner, you are the real MVP! Lagos traffic yesterday was terrible.
I was stuck on the Lekki express for over 3 hours.
I thought my suffering has finished. Not until I got to mainland and saw the traffic in Ikotun axis, I thanked God for Lekki traffic because in Lekki traffic, you are on a good road.
In Ikotun traffic, you will be inside an erosion for 3 hours and climb out to enter another one again.
Right now, am lying down on my bed like a skeleton asking God if this is his plan for my life? It is well with you 5 Likes |

ajoks533: So I got a user beep me up that he wants to buy my V6 Highlander... Called my guy to bring back the ride as he has been sampling it at his shop for sometime now. He brought it and it was misfiring. Oga buyer said he can't detect if gear is selecting due to jerking. I told him to take 50k off my final asking price and fix the misfiring. He said no that I should go ND fix it. Then he can know if he would buy or not. So my stressful ordeal started by asking my kazeem to fix the issue... He said it was Fuel pump and Starting coil... Oya buy and put. Las las it was still having little misfiring.
Me :Kazeem I want this engine to be stable, I don't need to be on the defensive side during this negotiation.
Kazeem: Oga, it will clear. Na fuel dey cause am.
Me: Oya buy 3k fuel put am. The misfiring comes to clearer when AC is on and car is in traffic and kinda 20% on speed). Took the car home yesterday and was not impressed.
Me:Kazeem am bringing this car back, plz check the plugs you said you changed. (Took the car to him today)
Kazeem: Oga mi, the plugs dey fire wells.
Me: Wetin cause the misfiring na, abi you talk say na fuel and I don buy enough fuel. Moreover, the fuel gauge stopped working wetin cause am, it was working b4 you changed the pump.
Kazeem: Oga, na electrician go check am. (I was just tired and I needed to go home and shower then have something to eat. Drove the car few poles from his shop and entered one bad pothole and the engine just went off... Just the normal indicators showing on dashboard. Tried to start car again, no show)
Me: Hello Kazeem, your car just stopped, engine to gree start again.
Kazeem: Oga leave am make e cool small. E go start. I dey come meet you.
Me: I don't understand, is this not a routine for faulty fuel pump? What nonsense is this Kazeem. Kazeem: Oga I dey come.
(Kazeem Came, tried all the magic in his power, said fuel pump is not pumping again and finally I told him I want to call my brother who sales spare parts at Alaoji)
Kazeem: Oga tell him to bring Belgium V8 pump. I no just trust all these new pumps. (I just open mouth dey look Kazeem) Me: Brotherly, abeg you get V8 pump for my ride? Kazeem say na V8 better ooo
Bro: Wetin happen to the one he bin put. (After narrating to him what happened)
Bro: Tell Kazeem to call electrician to check that car.
Me: Kazeem, plz call your brother to come check the electrical side of this car.
Kazeem brother came finally, did his magic and the car started to work. Was so tired that I just drove my car and stopped at Akwa Ibom woman's place to by Editan soup with fufu. Came back to start the car, put key in ignition, opened the ignition and was hearing some humming sound from the fuel pump chamber. Tried starting the car and hard a cranky sound as it started, then it went off again. Tried it again, same thing, finally on the 3rd try it started. Discovered temperature was high and compressor wasn't coming up again. Got down, check engine room and saw that radiator fan was disconnected.
Kai!!! I feel like killing Kazeem right now.
I am just at home and thinking how to handle Kazeem and him brother
