Sasorah:
Good afternoon everyone
My interview was last week at Abuja but I was denied

Me: good morning sir
Vo: can I have your passport
Me: yes (I passed it to him)
Vo: why are you going to US
Me: for vacation
Vo: have you been to any other country
Me: Yes, in Africa, Benin republic and Ghana
Vo: how long will you be staying in US
Me: 10 days
Vo: do you know anybody in US
Me: no I don't
Vo: are you single
Me: yes I am

That was all, then he gave me the green paper.. Denial under section 214(b) and he said reapply

I read somewhere about someone saying avoid stamps from Benin, Togo and Ghana. I study in Benin and I went for excursion in Ghana
I mean if you plan to stamp your passport in any of the mentioned countries, make sure you go, do it yourself, familiarize yourself with the country(ies) as the case may be and not just send your passport there to be stamp for you in the boarder.

you should be glad you weren't arrested actually. You have been banned due to Fake travel history I guess. What was the VO's last response on your case? Most actually are been told immediately that a ban has been placed pending a waiver is approved.
Why would they arrest me? They are not like us now. They even gave me a letter to help them fight visa racketeering apart from the pink one and I may decide to honor it by exposing some ppl right from here but that's not my business. I just want ppl to learn from my experience. I like that your guessing clause unlike those that categorically said I've been banned for 10yrs angry

You may be wrong unless you have experience such. I was given the pink paper and was told I can reapply. But I'm not ready to be wasting my hard earned money for now.

Just go to Immigration tell them your experience at the US , they will advice you on the next steps to follow.
but in my own opinion try to reapply once another passport is issued, because that passport has been cancelled and sent NIS Abuja.
I've been there with twice but they said they've not seen anything like that. Will try and go again this week

He is going to use that passport and the details at NIS for the rest of his life.
Fingerprint and all.
The US also took his fingerprints.
An Asian lady once got deported for drug-related issues. She got married and reapplied with hubby's name, leaving all her maiden name out of forms.
At PoE, her fingerprints brought out her previous history.

Start afresh ké? I must get to the root of the matter whatever it's going to take so others can learn from it. They keep records you know.

Now NIS, US and Canada are on your matter.
I'm telling you. And I warned him but he claimed to know better than myself and the person we are visiting in US cos that one also told him he should not have done that but he kept the info away from me to prove that he's wiser than me. It was when I informed the woman that she told me she warned my boss against it
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by samobaba4u(m): 12:55pm On Aug 31, 2019
What I discovered from my experience in Abuja
1. It is advisable to present virgin passport than given it to someone to stamp for you in Benin , Togo or Ghana. Once they sight these stamps, wàhálà don start
2. I saw about two fresh applicants with virgin passport who were given visas
3. Ghana stamp is a red flag. All of us that our passport were stamped in Ghana were packed aside without any interviews. Only two applicants that genuinely traveled to Ghana by air were given back their passport without visa.
The rest of us were instructed to contact NIS HQ for our passport.
4. An elderly woman who can not speak any language than her local language (Igbo) was given visa despite no travel experience with virgin passport.
5. We were all interviewed separately by FBI official to authenticate our travel to Ghana as we claimed.
6. My boss and his wife were issued visa and I was not even given any chance of interview. My boss seriously regretted his action of sending my passport to Ghana for stamping cos I warned him to let me present it virgin to try my luck.
7. They need sincerity and if you are going to lie, perfect it well cos they always have their way of finding out. Good luck.

Help Help Help
Has anyone experienced refusal and holding on your passport before?
Please, how did you get it back? I've been in NIS HQ Abuja and they said they've not received such.

Apply for corp similar to your course of study, maybe Finance or supply and transport. When they first opened the portal economic and marketing where listed under S&T, but seems like they've removed it, just try sha. In the column for corp just select different corps then go to the column for discipline and check if your course will pop up, sometimes some courses are listed in some corp but they didn't appear in the advertisement.

Another extreme measure will be to open a new account and tactically change the last digit of ur BVN in order for you to apply (making it look like an innocent error), then if you're shortlisted you go with the correct stuff and if asked why the discrepancy (which I don't think they would), you speak all the English wey dey ur head convincingly, you have to bring ur A game in lying. The BVN won't stop you from being shortlisted for the first stage.

So choose the lesser evil, you don already do mistake.

He won't be 32 but 33 by January 2020 as required. Was 30 last year (2018) july and was told I wasn't qualified that I will be 31 already by January 2019. They calculate age as football tíme, any goal score between 0 and 59 seconds is 1min, 1min and second(s) is 2 minutes, Xmin+(any sec from 1 to 59) = (X+1)minutes. Don't know how to explain it better.

Thanks bro, i will be 28 in sep, will that render me out of ssc selection
To be sincere with you, your name will not surface among those that would be consider for shortlistment. You will do yourself a good if you can make it 27 by this September.
Your case is just like what pushed me to dig further last year. I argued with a friend and put in for last DSDC with 30yrs when the instruction says between 20 and 30 years. I went ahead and submitted the application thinking that I have perfected everything. When I discussed with a Lieutenant friend of mine how I filled my form, he told me I was over-age and I argued having been 99% sure of been shortlisted. So I decided to call those numbers and was told categorically that I was not qualify that I would be 31yrs by that January 2019 despite the fact that I just marked my 30th late 2018. That was how I knew the reason why I was told I was over-age the last time I faced Air force selection board. I thought the board secretary didn't like me when he told the chairman that the candidate is over-age because they said 29yrs I I just marked my 29yr before I went for the interview but I was wrong. He never hate me. I should have made my enquiries then but I still do strong head and put in for NA the following year. I want you all to learn from my experience that's why I'm sharing it for all of you. Thanks God Army increased the age to 32 this time. I will try my luck for the last time since 2011 that I've been applying.

True!! but an SSC officer has held the position of COAS in the past. Anything can happen, one should more concerned about discharging his duties efficiently not the little power play amongst officers.
As it is now, there is no much diff in RC/SSC/DSSC all are going to the north east except female officers, that one na dole.
To those rushing to DSSC thinking it's just office work I just laff at them even Doctors sef are shipped enmass to the north east talkless of engineers, accounts etc
You are right. I know a member (Medical Doctor) of NA DSSC CORSE 22 that fell in the NE and also one air force DSSC member that also fell in NE last year some months after his wife delivered a bouncing baby boy. Friends found it difficult to break the news for the wife. So know what you are getting into. Don't let unemployment push you around.

Just pray that all indices always work for you. I've seen Regular officers that were retired prematurely as captain/major/Lt-Col. Any rank from major is politics. Just get enlisted first then your conversion first as see out things play out.

Don't expect the numbers to go for now cos the application is fresh and a lot of applicants will be calling the numbers hence reason why they put it off for now. But I tell you, the numbers would be available very soon. Just keep trying.

Nigerian Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Applicants must possess a minimum of B Eng, BSc (Eng) (Second Class Lower) degree or HND (Lower Credit) in any of the following areas: Mechanical Engineer, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineer, Materials/Metallurgical Engineering and Auto/Engineering Designs. Others are Production Engineering and Computer Engineering. Such academic fields must be registered with the Nigerian Society of Engineers and Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

Do I need to be a registered member or my course of study or field must registered with these societies before I can I apply.... NB... I studied mechanical engr.
Mechanical engineering is a registered course with both NSE & COREN. But remember that some institutions are offering courses without COREN/NSE accreditation. So if the course was accredited at the time u were studying, you are good to go and been a registered member is an added advantage but not necessary. If that would be use to screen applicants, those passing out of NYSC won't qualified cos there is now way they would be registered member of NSE/COREN.
