Jayz 'n B is wearing off ; they should have kids first.
Jay Z and beyonce are not typical Africans/Nigerians who marry solely for breeding and then divorce when the children don't seem to be coming (As if kids stay kids for life and don't grow up and move on with their own lives). When they are ready to become parents, they will. And if they decide not to become parents, then fine as well. The world is not under populated anyways with 6 billion people and counting living in it.

CultureRe: Do You Seriously Think Black People Are Equal To White People In Intelligence? by Samobi(m): 5:33am On Nov 23, 2010
davidylan:
Its easy to come out and bark at the OPs post but lets objectively look at this - why is it that the RICHEST, MOST INNOVATIVE and MOST POWERFUL nations are caucasian nations? Now why is it that no matter what continent the black race is . . . their nations are always the poorest and most corrupt? Haiti anyone?

I dont believe it has to do with skin color . . . i think it has a lot to do with the average black culture:

1. we are largely a people who actively shun intellectual curiousity for the lazy "comfort" of hand-made gods!

2. We raise our kids to be crammers, we destroy their self confidence by raising them in an atmosphere of oppression, stifle their natural instincts to explore their surroundings by caging them at home in the name of "protection".

3. We are largely "money oriented" . . . 99% of Nigerians in universities home and abroad are purely studying their majors of choice squarely based on the pecuniary benefits in future. How many of us are in school simply because we are genuinely interested in spending a lifetime understanding how chemistry works?
The answer is simple. The reason why the most innovative, wealthy, powerful nations are caucasian nations is because no other race has been able to travel around the world, rob other nations of what they had and make themselves rich. Its all about being cunny, conniving and what have you. I work with whites everyday and even their fellow whites complain about how dumb some are. It is also very easy to take credit for other people's invention like was the case in the US where blacks invented some things and whites took credit. Besides, there is more to it than meets the eye. The wealth in this world are controlled by a very small percentage of very rich white elite who control the media, sports, music and everything else. They also ensure that the money stays amongst them. As for Haiti, I read a very insightful article why Haiti is so poor and how years of embargo to purnish Haitians for rebelling against the french back in the day lead to their present state. Do some research and some reading and you will notice that there is a system in place to keep things the way they are.

Anyways, go ahead and support whatever this honky has posted. I don't expect anything less from the average Nigerian anyways who sees anything pink/pale as "god". Just thought I share my 2 cents on the topic.

wat r u guys even saying about basketmouth? isnt he handsome enof? in the pic, he even looks better dan his wife.check out his sexy eyes n lips .by the way, wats wrong with his dreads?
You must be a blind gay man. How can you say he looks better than his wife? Do you have eyes? And why are you calling your fellow man's eyes and lips sexy? You call those froggy, okpolo eyes sexy? And you ask what is wrong with the dreads. Those dreads look like the dreads of a mad man. Come to the USA and see how dreads should really look and not that jagajaga he is carrying on his head. That is what happens when Nigerians want to copy, copy. They never get it right.
FamilyRe: My Wife Is A Lousy Cook by Samobi(m): 10:07am On Nov 09, 2010
@Poster

I guess you married her to be your cook and glorified maid like most naija alpha males do. It is no wonder they take much offense and begin developing high blood pressure when some women do not want to thread down that path of marraige because they have alot to loose. Let me tell you something as a happily married man, when you marry someone, you don't expect the person to start changing for you. If you did not like the fact that she cannot cook and you knew this was important to you, you should have married someone who does meet your requirement and knows how to cook. Now, here you are on an online forum whinning like a baby. Whoever said marraige was going to be easy? Now, be a man and go teach your wife how to cook or hire a cook for your household or rely on eating out everyday and stop making too much noise!
FamilyRe: Is Marriage Really Based On Love Or Understanding? by Samobi(m): 9:55am On Nov 09, 2010
@Poster

What kinda marraige are we talking about here? If it is naija marraige, from what I have seen, it is based on multiplying like a grimlin. I don't care how much love and understanding there is in a marraige between 2 naija people. If the couple cannot reproduce babies almost immediately after marraige or after a few years after marraige, watch how quickly the marraige will crumble like a badly made soufle.
RomanceRe: Why Do Girls Wake Up At 27 Years by Samobi(m): 9:45am On Nov 09, 2010
samix:
Any girl feeling too old here? I'm available, But come to think of it, everything in this life should be all about happiness, what if these girls haven't found the right guy, most of the blame should be on us guys cos we promise everything good in this world and some girls can't simply see thru because they are too excited to think properly. I use to think girls at 30 are done for until I moved away from that negative country were most peeps think marriage is equals to happiness. @ Nubian, u not too old but if u really choose to get married and u c the right person I think it's better u do it now rather than later. U might IVF is available but it's success rate is small and it's got it's own side effect
Honestly, not only is it a negative country but also full of negative people. In real life, I and my wife don't mingle with Nigerians because there is nothing good about most of them. Is it tribalism, you can count Naija people in; corruption and dishonesty, check; sexism, check; parasitic in nature, check; strong belief perserverance that has no place in this 21st century, check; country blessed with abundant resources yet most of its populace are illiterate and poverty stricken, check; lack of respect for the individual and personal choices and decisions in life, check yet again.

Why is it so difficult for the average naija to understand that when it comes to marraige, one size does not fit all? In the west, no one cares if you are married or not, have kids or not. It is a personal decision. I honestly believe that the reason naija men give themselves headache over this is because deep down inside, they know they have more to benefit from marraige than the ladies. A woman who lives in the west and holds an excellent paying job does not have much to gain from marraige because the stigma is not there. It is only in that negative, backward, hell hole called Naija where the people cannot even enjoy 24 hours of consistent electricity that marraige is an issue. As I type, I have married couples back home are bombarding me to send money for their children's school fees. Naija people know how to marry and born like rabbits but then have no money to take care of the human lives they produced and become a pest to other family members, friends and acquintances! Useless people!

And here is YOUR chance RASCIST SLAVE (WITH NO ORIGIN OR DESTINATION), COTTON PICKER, MISEDUCATED NEGRO, SHAMELESS APE WHOM WHITE AMERICA (IN THE FORM OF COPS) WOULD GUN DOWN AT EVERY GIVEN OPPORTUNITY to convince me why you will shamelessly spend so much time on a Nigerian forum that was created by a Nigerian who lives in Nigeria to insult Nigerians on their forum with your cancer infested tongue/fingers. Surely, Since Nigerians are not worthy of a mention, you can use your time more productively being an active member of an akata forum, don't you think? Besides, you are a nobody and will remain a nobody till the day you die so why should anyone even bother trying to convince you? While you damn SLAVE continue to willow in your pool of hate ON CYBERSPACE, the biological son of an African man became president of your country. If Obama had slave blood flowing in his veins, you know your cousin whitey would not have voted for him to be in office. You are precisely the kind of people my Pastor, who is Canadian by the way, preached about this past sunday. We are living in the last days which means there will be many false prophets like yourself and others who have made a convenant with sin to the extent that you believe you are doing the right thing when you are not. Heaven help you the day you lay your hand on an only daughter. Her male family members will shred you to pieces and leave your corps for the vultures. So you better be careful whose precious daughter you hit. Any man who hits my sisters or daughters is a dead man walking!

Men who lack self control and the fear of God in them can overcome womanizing by allowing themselves to be castrated. Its either that or they risk sleeping with a demonic ghost someday that will cause them spiritual torture until they commit suicide. I know someone that this happened to so be warned. Not all that glitters is gold.
CultureRe: American Women That Marry Nigerian Men by Samobi(m): 4:22am On Oct 19, 2010
DaRapture:
cheesy This is all very sad, yet very funny at the same time. Oddly enough statistically speaking, marriages between AA men and African women turn out to be multiple times more successful than African man/AA woman marriages; yet, oddly enough African women are much less likely to want a relationship with an AA man than an African man is to want one with an AA woman.

This is made even more odd, in that AA male/ African female marriages are actually even more successful in this nation than even that of the African male/African female marriages in this nation.
Where are you getting your statistics from and how did you draw this conclusion? Do you know all married Nigerian couples living in all 50 states of the U.S? How were you able to determine that marraiges between AA men and African women are more successful than marraiges between African men and women? The last time I checked, were most AA men not busy running after white or latino women hence AA women are now seemingly running after African or in this case, Nigerian men?

DaRapture:
Hauwa, are you light or dark complexioned? I think I might know you from somewhere.
Why should her complexion matter Darapture? And no, you do not know her from adam. I know that in your narrow minded brain, you think all northerners are light skin. Give it a rest and take that foolish mindset to black planet bro! angry
CultureRe: American Women That Marry Nigerian Men by Samobi(m): 4:09am On Oct 19, 2010

^^^^

There's not some sort of intrinsic difference between the two kid. They're all black west african males. Difference is a large percentage of one group (Africans) is out for legal papers and sex, and a very very very small proportion of the other group (African American males) is out for an intelligent, beautiful, hardworking woman. It's more about intent and situations than inner character really. Anyways, the kind of African women that end up with African American men are usually so caught up in pretending to be AA, especially attitude and behavior-wise, that they don't appeal to African men anyways. In the same vein, I'm quite surprised that there are many African male/African American woman relationships in the first place, as most hardworking, reasonably accomplished, and ethnically or nationally conscious African men would just go after an African woman anyways, resulting in most of the leftovers (with few exceptions) being left to AA and American women,
Correct!

Agbotaen, are you still bothering yourself over this? You have nothing to worry or be apologetic about. You say you are Ika. No problem. Don't concern yourself with other Igbo pushing some identity on you, because, all things considered, you're really not under any obligation to accept such broad categorization. So just be cool and continue about with your business.

Honestly, this kind of topic has been overdone. So, to each his own (literally and figuratively).

PoliticsRe: Ukwuani People Wikipedia Content by Samobi(m): 6:02am On Sep 29, 2010
smile11s:
I was browsing through Wikipedia pages on Nigeria ethnic groups, and notes about the Ukwuani people got my attention. I am an Igbo person from Imo state and I always consider other Igbo speakers on the south south region as Igbo people too.

In the pasts(based on my research and traditional Igbo tales), Igbos were known for strong warriors and traveling traders, and most of them traveled far across the Niger river to trade/business. Many of this ancient Igbo warriors and traders settled on whatever land they could govern on their own(Igbos don't have kings, so they always tried to stay away from the Ezes).

Based on my personal research, I believe Igbo speakers like the Ukwanis, Ika-igbo, Ndokwas, and so on, are decedants of these ancient Igbo warriors and traders.

This is the content on Ukwuani wikipedia page
What is the purpose of this thread exactly and how does it relate to politics? By the way, I was told by an Imo guy when he heared me speaking my dialect that "Oh, I thought you were Igbo but now that I have heared you speak, you are not". His dumb family told me "You know we Igbos don't like you Delta Igbo". So, can you blame those Ukwuani people who have raised their children not to see themselves as Igbo? One thing I cannot stand with some people is that you cannot win. It's a case of you damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. Let those who were raised by their parents as Igbos see themselves as such and those who were not raised by their families to be seen as Igbos bear whatever they feel like. My parents probably went through the same crappy experience I had with Igbos from core Igboland hence they raised us to be Ukwuani and nothing else angry Can I blame them? Are Igbos united? Not at all! When push comes to shove, then the Igbo vs Delta Igbo gets pushed to the surface. I noticed that growing up as a child. My mom was contesting for a position in church (CWO). All of a sudden it became an Igbo vs Igbo Delta thingy. Just goes to show you how deeply entrenched tribalism is in Nigeria. Make una carry go!

Make everybody go answer their papa name. Live and let live. You cannot force an identity on a group of people. You can try that with children but not with the adults. Its just that simple. No amount of ranting and raving on Nairaland will make a difference because at the end of the day, its just a forum after all and people will live their lives as they see fit.
