68816419: rvp20182: Lagos alone has more hotels than the whole of Kenya, and even building more hotels than the whole of east Africa and its still remained the country with the most rooms in the pipeline, for the past 4 years and still counting Nigeria has the highest number of hotel rooms in Africa as at the year 2016, closely followed by Angola and Egypt
As at 2020 it is Egypt,Nigeria,Kenya, Ethiopia in that order..
vankelvin: You and foolishness are like 1 and 2, Juliet is the only person that spent a longer time in nigeria. Deborah and kiddi don't spend evn a week in nigeria so learn how to encourage truthfulness.
I don't even what to respond to this but let me drop this...
Ilaumoh: Lol....hahahhahhah Why are you repeating the same building and giving it a fake name calling the Islamic university, coastal academy . Chai am so happy for today jesus.
Guys join an laugh while viewing the attachment and the real owners of that building he posted
Ilaumoh: Hahhhahhahahah jesus christ eeeh i don die This university is not located in Mombasa. I told you stop posting picture from other location , we need only mombassa lol. Guys find attachment below to know where this is located but not Mombasa
Problemkid1: Foolish Shma. Bombastic fool like you comparing your dead world largest slums with Lagos. Nairobi is the world's largest slums. The biggest slums in the whole world wide
See your dirty smelling poverty stricken nairoslum. The world's largest slums
If shma knows what is good for him he shouldn't even dare post a single slum...I just got serious slum.footage of Kenya last night....it's a hellhole
Lol you are black and black population in Kenya is about 98.5% but yet are here posting a school with only 8 black kids out of the 31 I counted...smh..you should be ashamed of yourself..
Lol this is the height of it..you've been relegated to posting private international schools...I taught we've seen the last of it yesterday when we're posting residential pools and Estates...when you are done you back to your city centre for comparism..uyo is better than Mombasa. Fact
Dlonra: I'd Believe in my governments figures before a white Mans statistics. East Africans aren't mental Slaves that's why the white man had a rough time in the East.
But rvp says we shouldn't believe in our govt figures, he said we should stick to white man statistics or better still enjoy the ones he pulls from his butt..
rvp20182: Start from Newyork - Manhattan - and learn what Central Park is there fore. Every city needs some greenery - to act as lungs - take in all the farting . If the entire city of Eko Altantic will just be tall buildings - with a few palm trees - then it will be one sad place.
Lol I just skimmed through your video..what you are showing me is central park.. Manhattan and other districts can not be labelled green..heck you would be lucky to count 1..
rvp20182: Start from Newyork - Manhattan - and learn what Central Park is there fore. Every city needs some greenery - to act as lungs - take in all the farting . If the entire city of Eko Altantic will just be tall buildings - with a few palm trees - then it will be one sad place.
Oh please greenery, trees and Manhattan don't to together..it's just talk buildings here and there no single tree....talk of Brooklyn and even at that Brooklyn barely has the kinda of greenery you are talking about.. planting of trees us not really a new York thing..I bet Capetown is more green than new York...you want nature and greenery then take your ass to central park....new York has been able to compensate for the greenery it should have put up in her business district in central park....central park is where most of the greenery are.....and this example is a virtual middle finger to you people's noise on greenery...to an ordinary Kenyan greenery is world class...pls greenery is not an infastructural development..it like nature's free gift anyone can harness....very cheap.
Eko Atlantic will have both trees and buildings...I don't see why you should exalt trees and greenery as something special..
rvp20182: First what do you mean district? Please learn to say Business District. A district is like a state or county or borough or location.
2ndly Eko Altantic empty city should really invest in greenery. It not trees....grass maybe. It cost very little. Just plant grass and trim them.
Now talking of Business district - this is Nairobi old CBD - we have planted trees right inside the streets - it has so many tall buildings but still we have trees lined all over.
Show me any business district in the world that planted grass in her CBD..it has always been trees and would remain trees... Eko Atlantic trees where planted early last year and I must say their growth is really commendable seeing that the soil.on which it grows has limited minerals compared to your loamy or sandy soil.. A business district should have tress planted at both side of the sidewalk and in the middle of the road if a demarcation exists...
rvp20182: Which part of the world looks like Lagos or Eko City - maybe Ghana . Even desert cities are more green - 15yrs and trees are yet to grow . Now you've to turn Lagos which is essentially Lagoon with forests and greenery - into a desert - not any different from Lagos metroslumpolis - where see a tree is a miracle. Your pollution is something else.
Nairobi is not a forest indeed; because we plant trees if you see if above ; you may think the city is a forest; but inside it are houses.
Top district in the world looks like Eko Atlantic..the only difference is that they are fully developed...did you even watch that video you showed to me...I hope you saw our basic and Africa class Nairobi looked...you have not achieved something out of the ordinary like Sandton,Midrand, waterfall,Cairo,al mein, heck even Diaminiadio .a look at this afforementioned place and you would swear they are not in Africa but they are actually.....
Well I guess those greenery are for single homes..Eko Atlantic will not have those single detached homes with massive greenery.. already the land is very expensive and unless you are bill gate or Jeff Bezos before you can buy 5 plot and build a single home...Eko Atlantic is a district.. I Don't know how else I can tell you that....aerial view of Cape town's district doesn't show you forest same goes to london but they are tress planted along the side walk..like literally trees everywhere..
rvp20182: So a building receives some obscure certification and you proclaim that rock filled desert a green city. The only greenery in the entire dubai wannabe are palm trees in the streets.
Trees are planted everywhere..be patient enough for it to grow...I have never in my life seen a business district with thick forest and soil ..if that is what you are expecting then I can assure you ekoatlantic can't give you that...it will offer what is obtainable in the rest part of the world not the addiction to thick forest as seen in Kenya.
rvp20182: Wake us up when Lagos or eko city win anything.Nairobi is already nearly there with road infrastructure with about 1.5b dollars worth of ongoing construction. We have rickety old train network that carries 15k passengers daily and we are modernizing to carry 50K.What more would you like infrastructure wise.We are sorted electricity 24hrs.We are sorting water n sewage.Garbage collection not bad. What is infrastructure to you.Housing deficit we are fixing it.But Nairobi character as the green city in the sun remains
You are funny perphap I should wake you up now cos the first building to pop up Eko Atlantic has already received and EDGE certification...when it comes to greenery and all that just leave it to Eko Atlantic..it has gat all that covered....
Now when you look at the best of your cbd does it gives you the slightest feeling like you will get in the developed world..Eko Atlantic already has that spark and feel despite still being tender...
Modified..Eko Atlantic building are aiming to aimimg to all be green buildings
rvp20182: Is that why nairobi was voted the most eco-friendly city in Africa and 14th world wide. You cannot buy class. You think that ugly Eko city will win any awards or accolades.Concrete only excite you otherwise invest in trees, grass, parks, walk ways and you may get to Kenya level in 2050.Eko city look like KANO or some desert... greenery totally absent..just a few palm trees.Where are parks.Where are golf courses.Where are some forests.Who want to live in such a sad place.Dubai is a desert but at least they try but Eko want to create a desert..backfilled with rocks but why not some soil...15yrs late not a single tree enough to shade you from lagos heat.Such small things make a city world class.Nobody want to live in a concrete jungle.Study Nairobi and see why it ticks.
If tree is your problem then be rest assured Eko gat that covered..tress have already been planted in every corner and like every serious district around the world you see tress planted along side walk not thick forest and soils..that's just madness...
Nairobi with the current level of infastructures will always remain third world as far as world class city is concerned..
rvp20182: 15yrs... only two towers..dead as dodo..eight if we include those under construction. One project like Kenya river estate with 8 towers or 15 towers in ngong road can overshadowed it in 3yrs
Eko is world class, nairobi is third world and will always remain that even after 5 decades. Get the different levels and claas....you know what to do to change that.... River ugly , uninspiring estate building is unfortunately dead like pinnacle that started noise making in 2010 yet it has just a dug up put that breeds mosquito to show for it ...
Abohboy: You have to admit ding a lot of skyscrapers in those cities
A lot of skyscraper in ivory coast, Kenya, Ethiopia...Kenya boom is over and dead and since when did ivory coast and Ethiopia have more skyscraper than Nigeria...
No developed area of nairobi today can be compared to the little baby Eko Atlantic in terms of world class supreme infastructure...no where..
Abohboy: Abi they don’t even have a light rail in their city regardless of an interstate railway. In 2030 by the time we are finishing centenary city. They will still be screaming marine drive and Accra cantonment. Abuja is leaving everyone behind, the only countries that I can say are developing as quickly or faster than Nigeria are Kenya, Egypt, Ethiopia, South Africa, Morocco and Ivory Coast
What the fvck did you say...Kenya ,ivory coast, Ethiopia should be kicked out of your list.. effectively immediately...
