Nairobi is booming in infrastructure, and your sentiments is not far from truth, skyscrapers are rising, we have a lot of proposed projects in Nairobi but I can't go on posting them, we have iconic high rises and legit road infrastructure going on.
Saying all this does not mean other section of kenya are not developing, we have konza city which Ghanaian jaundice and some few Nigerians will call it doomed but the work going on in that place is something motivating.
Tatu city on the other hand is booming, yeah compared to developed countries like South Africa, tatu is still a child, but guess what? Ask that kwerekwere if they have such projects, no they don't. For nigeria, at least we can argue, they have such projects.
Those are industrial areas, now going to Mombasa which is second biggest city in kenya, Mombasa is another rising kenyan city, it will be holding longest bridge in Africa if am not wrong(that is just one approved project on kenyan coast, the lamu port which some countries like Ghana and nigeria can only dream of is another motivating factor. Mombasa kilindini port alone is bigger than anything in Ghana.
Mombasa has proper infrastructure than Accra I can bet Mombasa alone can beat Accra when we embark on that debate.
Other cities like eldoret kisumu, nakuru, malindi, thika e.t.c are booming in infrastructure.
We can't tackle all of them of course that would be a hectic debate.

Let me just just quickly add this..

Kenya does not have more proposed project than Lagos.
Kenyan does not have more ongoing project than Lagos.
The longest bridge in Africa will be in Lagos(4th mainland bridge) and it is scheduled to commence construction first quarter of 2021.
Kenya does not have more ports underconstruction than we do.....Lekki deepseaport and Calabar deepseaport is under construction(the former cost $1.5bn while the latter costs $2.2bn)..And ibom deepseaport is this close to commencing construction..I mean already it has been approved and needs to pass about 3 more stages with FG for it to commence..it the backbone of ibom industrial city project which will be built in a free trade zone area..which mean zero tax and all that..

Kenya don't have more city project than just Lagos one..let's just even leave Abuja and other states..

Your Tatu city is just and estate with little industrial activities...as far I know we have such project in about three different states in Nigeria...

And pls leave Mombasa, I don't wasn't to laugh....That place is a crazy mess..

When a country is developing in one place it leads to a migration to that one particular place. Nairobo will be doomed will make lagos, mumbai etc look like childs play because those countries have alternative cities which are developing

Lagos would soon start experiencing de-population ..the federal rails are now linking to different city from Lagos.. expect to see villages turn to city soon..heck even lagos light rails are extending out of Lagos to places like Ogun state with a straight link up to top business district..
This will create more opportunity as people will prefer living out of Lagos due to lower standard of living and hopping on the next train to come work in Lagos..

I gues 98% of the households in kibera access it, demolition of shanty houses are always on the go note concidering the fact that new legitimate affordable houses by government under the MDG program are being launched on a monthly basis,
Alot is going on in kibera and that should also tell Alot about our city planning on the slum eradication program.
