I will go straight to the point .
Do not expect constant electricity or high speed trains any time soon,not because the president wouldn't like that to happen,but because Nigeria is a poor country and there's no money.
Whether or not Nigerian politicians steal a single penny,there would still be no money to accomplish anything significant. Let's assume Nigerian leaders have stolen a combined loot of $100 billion dollars; that's still not enough ..

Why Nigeria is a poor country

Nigeria makes only $44 billion dollars per year - that money is disbursed to 36 states and 500 cities/towns and it becomes minuscule to accomplish anything significant. For example, delta state makes 17.5 billion per month (only 60 million dollars ) . Los Angeles city alone makes 300 billion dollars a year.
Nigeria needs at least $250 billion dollars to have constant electricity ; Highspeed train connecting the entire country would cost around $150 to $200 billion dollars; A 100-120 storey skyscraper cost around 1 billion dollars ;A world class airport cost around 1 billion dollars; a world class mega mall cost around 300 million dollars
The money Nigeria earns right now is only enough to provide basic infrastructure such as schools,hospitals, roads and pay government workers to keep the system running.
Nigeria can only have money to develop if the economy is diversified and Nigeria makes at least 400 billion dollars each year.
I think it's high time all Nigerians know this fact now . stop blaming Obasanjo,Jonathan or Buhari. i'm sure these presidents would have made constant electricity happen if they could . The only thing Nigerians should ask the government to do is to diversify the economy ,not to provide constant electricity because there's simply no money to do that now .

My solution
Nigeria should not break up, it's better to unite than divide . but we must come to agreements to move the society forward and provide good quality of life for all.
There should be only 9 cities instead of 36 states and 300 cities/towns spreading resources thin.
We have to come to an agreement ;I know Owerri ,Enugu,Aba,etc would like to have the tallest skyscrapers and largest airports ,but unfortunately these towns are just too small. much better to unite .
The 9 cities are as follows : Calabar,Onitsha,Kano,Lagos,Kaduna,Portharcourt,Maiduguri,Abuja

Now I saw a thread about Ebonyi ,anambra,owerri building airports ;complete waste of funds . it's much wiser to concentrate and build one world class international airport .whether or not the airport is built in present day Enugu landmass,it should be called Onitsha international airport.

No need to build 2 airports and seaports in cross river and akwa ibom . funds should be channeled to build a world class seaport at Oron which will be called Calabar seaport , the airport at Akwa ibom should be called Calabar airport .
Lagos international Airport could be built at Ibadan or Ondo landmass it should still be called Lagos international airport which serves the entire citystate .
I observe that one of the reason my suggestion may be opposed is because Nigeria is a very clannish society. and that may be the downfall of the black man. Nigerian should understand that it doesn't matter where the president is from, what matters is to do the right things for improved quality of life for all . Also,tribalism is total pointless. no tribe is superior . All tribal culture have positives as well as negatives.
We must leave the old ways behind and progress forward into the future. high speedtrains ,malls ,constant electricity and organized housing developments are neither Igbo nor Yoruba culture.

Right before that moment in that video, They show some bulldozer on the left side and then as they approach that place It says right there on the screen that "Ring road parkland under construction"
But you chose to ignore that information, As soon as those letters disappeared you took the screenshot purportedly showing "bare gravel roads in Westlands" when you knew very well that that place was under construction.. Now why would you do that rookie mistake, Were you just counting on me never counter checking??

And the two ladies carrying buckets, they were swinging the buckets so that means they were empty! How you concluded that they were going to fetch water, that is from your own imagination. They could have been coming from the market having bought the buckets, They could have been street hawkers selling cut pineapples wrapped in polythene or water melon from the buckets... etc


So please try herder next time, don't be so obvious when you try and trick people. Cause that was cheap. I am sure you wont want me to start taking cheap shots of Lagos by trying to trick you.

Now back to westland. .I am an honest fellow apart from lower kabeta road which was just a 30 seconds drive and parts of peponi road which was just 13 seconds drive as well as Westgate mall road which was just 6 seconds(all interlocked roads ) the rest was just a disgrace I wasn't impressed and for a country whose citizen always shout world class road .If i am being honest i would say those roads are of the same standard with my village. I do understand that ring road has been blocked because it's underconstrution and I will love to see after it is concluded it. I hope you will notice the dirty silt that covered and piled up your roads at both side even in your new roads. By the way this video is 1 month old

And BTW, The fist pic, That dome shaped building is called "One Africa Place" its a bulding that finished construction this year, when they were finishing construction , the city decided to add another lane from both sides of that building.. Thats what you see, a clearing of pavements to cater for an extra pedestrian lane...
