Nokia 2110 (a gift from my friend) i bought my first phone Ericsson R320sc (the 1st mobile internet phone) for $400us in Hong Kong 2001 |
I said 'MOST" Nigerian girls. I've seen a lot of Nigerian guys married to foreigners. very few marriages survive. oyibo girls see divorce as a quick way out and barely put in much efforts to make the marriage work and believe me, they dont handle half of the chores the nigerian ladies tackle. The Nigerian lady has your family and culture to contend with, and the stress of raising children in our present society. (water, Nepa, road no dey) try moving to naija with your oyinbo girl and see how long your marriage will last if you no get plenty money |
Name one white woman who married a broke a$$ 9ja man. They always marry our educated, resourceful guys and divorce you when they feel you've outlived your usefulness. They only stick with you if you keep moving to greater heights. Most Nigerian women try to stay with us no matter what financial/educational stutus you find yourself in |
Miss EZ:true. i once dated two friends at the same time in those days. Very wrong. Miss EZ:Also very true. |
marrying a good Nigerian lady is the best thing that can happen to any man. |
I totally support mccloud on this one. i've dated oyibo girl and i swear, there are times i'd feel like strangling her. They say and do things no sane nigerian girl will ever do. Miss EZ:My fiend got divorced after 4 years of marriage and everything he had ever worked for went to his wife. and the guy currently pays for child support for his 2 kids. |

Its your choice to make You can renegociate and then sign an employment contract with your old firm so you cant just get fired. |
OneNaija:Thats not the point dude. you should be laughing at those who will marry a girl just because of a hummer SUV. if i dash you my old SUV, will you marry me ![]() |
I have decided to die for what I believe in. How about you?
And you're in New York, "ready to die" and calling those in Nigeria stupid. when was the last time you joined us under the sun and voted? Professor Wole Soyinka and others are in Nigeria trying to make a difference. i'll answer your question when we meet in Nigeria. |
Lets leave the PoliTricks to the magicians in Aso rock. I'm just dey wait the billions that will magically disappear in the name of recieving Mrs Clinton |
Nwannem, i don get your gist. no vex, abeg i dey tell oyinbo for face say 9ja good well well. i know say some wahala dey for we country but we fit help make things better for we people na why i dey tell our brothers we dey yankee make dem come home come start all these small small factories, make e help dey give our graduates job |
Despite what the world thinks of Nigeria, i'm proud of being a Nigerian. its my belief that Nigeria will get better someday and we, the citizens will enjoy the benefits of what our country has. We have to change the impression that we cannot survive in Nigeria. we have to change our views on some issues we quickly believe that almost all millionaires in Nigeria are into some dubious deals or money rituals Ordinary people can work hard and become very successful in Nigeria. that is the reason for this post. Most of our people abroad are told not to come home because Nigeria has nothing to offer them. They are discouraged from investing in Nigeria by starting SMEs, or shops,or factories. You can succeed in whatever you choose to do, if you plan well, and study the business properly |
The point is that we were singled out, because of our Nationality thats what i'm trying to get mccloud224 to understand. he said i was "belittling" Nigerians |
I won't pretend. I speak from experience. The first and only time i spent a night in jail was in Cotonou, Benin Republic in December, 2006. I had returned from a business trip to Hong Kong and went to Cotonou to see my clearing agent about my container. By the time i had finished, it was late and i asked to be taken to a hotel. i took my shower and went downstairs for a beer. There were 3 of us. One knew Cotonou well and suggested we walk to a nearby club. we were not a few minutes from our hotel when a police truck over took us and heavily armed cops jumped out and asked us to identify ourselves. once they found out we were Nigerians we were bundled into the back of the truck and taken to a station. Many Nigerians were being brought there that night. The cops questioned me and i showed them my passport and told them my reason for being in Cotonou. They said they'd investigate and then threw me into a cell. They said an armed robbery had occured earlier that day and they were sure it was the hand work of Nigerians.(No one was caught. No witnesses.) I stayed in the cell till 4am before i was released. they had contacted my shipping/clearing agent who is a very prominent man and he told them who i was. The police apologiced to me and asked me to sign a document which stated that i could not sue them and the did not maltreat me in any way. Over 50 nigerians were brought there that night. i was leaving the station that morning, more nigerians were being brought in. |
I dont know. The day such things stop, Nigeria will get better. It happens in our schools, offices, government establishments, etc its really painful. Its sad to see a graduate of economics walking around from bank to bank looking for a job while a less qualified graduate of Arabic studies gets a well paid job in a bank because he's connected. |
Haven't you ever been looked at suspiciously or delayed and inspected properly just because you carry the Nigerian passport? |
mccloud224:It comes with the job. you chop i chop generalzango:You can hardly get into anything in this 9ja without contacts. |
mccloud224:I dont quite get you. |
@mccloud224 People go into business to make profit. that i buy an item for $1 and sell it for $7 is good business. Its legitimate(honest) profit. I must pay my shop rent, pay my staff, recoup my travel expences (flight, hotel, shipment, import duties, haulage, etc) The concern of most posters has been illegitimate businesses like drug traficking, fraud, looting of the national treasury etc. If you feel that the $7 cost of the item is too much, travel abroad and import the item your self! |
I dont support voilence but the fact remains that the attack was on a Federal installation |
so you guys dont believe there are geniune millioniares in Nigeria ?No wonder the whole world see Nigerians as theives and bandits. so sad. |
Batubo:we'll still see it as an attack on the Federal Govt, and not the Igbo people. Please call a spade a spade. |
I've been there. I was heart broken and devastated. she later begged and appologiced but i called off the whole thing. She's still single and wants me back but No way. i'm f**king comfortable right now, (have my own company) and searching for the right woman. Bros, just leave her and find your way since you guys are not yet married. God just gave you an insight into the future. Leave her, work harder and Trust God to Bless you beyond your wildest imagination. God Will Bless you. I'm a living testimony |
