Some terrorists on Tuesday opened fire on President Muhammadu Buhari’s advance convoy deployed ahead of his trip to Daura, Katsina State for Sallah celebrations. A statement from the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu titled, ‘Gallant Presidential guards repel attack on advance team ahead of President’s visit’, obtained by SaharaReporters confirmed the attack. It, however, added that the terrorists were repelled by the personnel of the military, police and the Department of State Services in the convoy. It said, “The Presidency has described as sad and unwelcome, the shooting incident near Dutsinma, Katsina State, at the convoy of cars carrying the Advance Team of security guards, protocol and media officers ahead of the President, Muhammadu Buhari’s trip to Daura for Sallah. “The attackers opened fire on the convoy from ambush positions but were repelled by the military, police and DSS personnel accompanying the convoy. “Two persons in the convoy are receiving treatment for the minor injuries they suffered. All the other personnel, staff and vehicles made it safely to Daura.” |
Meanwhile, 79 year old Buhari is finding it difficult to ride his own 2 legs |

These murderous terrorists are our friends, our relatives, our neighbors, our parents, they are our siblings, we eat and drink with them. They are people we thought we could trust. The words BETRAY/BETRAYED/BETRAYER/BETRAYAL all came into existence because we trusted people we shouldn't have. VIGILANCE is the keyword, trust no one. My 2kobo |
Africans have been elected in various positions and/or appointed into positions in different capacities in foreign lands, I don't see why this should be a problem. On a lighter note, I think people against this are just scared of being colonized over again, which I think isn't a bad idea going by the current state of the nation. |
