I think I need to show some, what a true city with huge infrastructure and development scattered every where.
Nigeria has got Lagos,Abuja, PH,kano,Jos,calabar,Enugu, Ibadan,Uyo.

if I post pics of Uyo,Enugu, calabar to show how serene these cities are ,Nigeria would be accorded respect.

Uyo as a tiny city has much infrastructure and development that even one of d best city in Nigeria hasn't achieved

I just laugh when Kenyans compare Nairobi with Lagos.its a funny comparison.

Lagos that has almost everywhere urban, that's why Lagos remains the largest city in Africa

you feel intimidated by the black skin, that's why you rant about the IBO's using enhancement creams because most IBO's are light skinned

You see your problem.
I showed you colonial records of colonial masters identifying Igbos as naturally light skinned people, yet it seems like that was not a good enough fact for your biased mind.

Your ignorant mind also misses out the fact that Nigerians have been intermixing with each other for centuries.
For instance, I noticed that all the tribes who are neighbors to the Igbos like Ibibios, Idomas, Igalas, Edos, Eastern Ijaws also have a large number of naturally light skinned people.

Likewise in the north almost all the tribes have mixed with fulanis somehow. Me speaking to you, I have Hausa-fulani relatives. I have Shuwa arab relatives.

Original hausas are actually dark skinned, but their extreme mixture with fulanis made many of them light skinned.
Original Kanuris are extremely dark skinned, but extreme mixture with Shuwa arabs made many of them light skinned.

So shut it if you don't know about Nigeria's history.

You are talking about using Ghana as a yardstick to identify Nigerians' complexion.
Do you know that Ghana and Ivory coast are dominated by the same Akan ethnic stock? Yet Ghanains are still darker than Ivorians on average. Why is this so?

Simple, cos most Akans from Ivory coast heavily intermarried lighter skinned northern west africans like the fulanis, touaregs etc.

Check this nairaland threads of Ivorian and Ghanaian women and compare the difference for yourself and educate yourself about west africans!

its an excuse for their black skin and they now think any fair Nigerian uses bleaching cream

Kenyans are always trying to sound like as if Kenya is better than Nigeria's 36 state.

Nigeria is way advanced than your country but you can dream to be up to Nigeria.

For you to know your country is flawless beside Nigeria.Every state has something good to show for.
For Example.
Akwa ibom has so many things that Lagos and Abuja doesn't have

- Nigeria's first state to have an e library
- One of Africa's best stadiums, the God's Will Akpabios stadium
- Africa's 2nd syringe manufacturing plant
- One of Nigeria's best 5 star hotels
- Nigeria's first metering manufacturing plant
- It's also one of Nigeria's best cities for relaxation and tourism
- It's also constructing a deep sea port
- and of course so many other things

Port Harcourt is also known for its abundance in oil and regarded as Nigeria's oil capital.

Kano is known to be the Economic hub of the North
Anambra has Nigeria's car manufacturing company

Ibadan has University of Ibadan, it also has the first skyscraper in Africa

So my kenya boys let me stop here,go and erase that idiosyncracy of yours that Nigeria feels intimidated by kenya or that kenya seems better than Nigeria

Kenya is a little child that still needs to grow before trying to rub shoulders with Nigeria

Before answering my question, firstly, answer my last question which was " WHO IS CONSTRUCTING (COMPANY) THE SOUTHERN LINK ROADS IN NAIROBI,KENYA"? and who told u we are not construction roads,Railways,Power,Pipelines.
Mind you, ONLY LAGOS ALONE HAVE MORE ONGOING MEGA PROJECTS AND INFRASTRUCTURE BIGGER AND LARGER THAN KENYAN PROJECTS COMBINED , No Africa country is constructing infrastructure like Nigeria (still slow if i must confess) , we are constructing over 4000KM of standard gauge Rail lines from Lagos to Kano to PH, we are constructing Hundreds of roads and rehabilitating existing once, we r building gas pipelines from Nigeria to Morocco , over 15000MW of electricity is ongoing , Lagos alone has constructed over 15 million G/P of water and still constructing more.... nigga, read more about Nigeria projects please, our projects across the country can not be compared with that of Kenya.

bellow is the link of few of the projects going on (be open minded and go through it)
http://www.icrc.gov.ng/projects/projects-under-conceptualization-development-and-procurement/
https://www.thecable.ng/2018-budget-20-new-road-construction-projects-will-gulp-n13-4bn
Power projects currently under-construction
1. 450 Megawatts Azura Power Plant Azura Thermal power station is a natural gas powered electricity generation plant, with a proposed capacity of 1,500 megawatts, under construction in Edo state, Nigeria. It is an IPP project, with the first phase already under construction. It is expected to be commissioned in 2018.
2. 700 Megawatts Hydro Power Plant Zungeru power plant in Niger state was first conceived in 1982, but was abandoned due to lack of funds and dispute among the parties involved. Construction started again in 2016 and is expected to be completed by 2019.
3. 240 Mega Watts Afam Power Plant Afam Power Plc is a thermal power plant located in the gas rich Rivers state. It is expected to be completed by December 2017.
4. 400 Mega Watts Kashimbilla Hydro Power Plant Located in Taraba state, the construction of the 40 Mega Watts Kashimbilla power plant started in March 2017 and it is expected to be running by the end of the year.
5. 215 Mega Watts Kaduna Power Plant The contract of the power project in Kaduna state was awarded in 2009 and it was expected to be completed within 36 months. However, the project experienced some delay due to inadequate budgetary allocation. It's expected to start running before the end of this year.
6. 40 Mega Watts Gurara Power Plant Also in Kaduna state, the completion of the Gurara Hydro power plant would generate additional 30 megawatts.
7. 29 Mega Watts Dadin Kowa Hydro Power Plant Located in Gombe state, the construction of the Dadin Kowa plant is expected to be completed in November 2017.
8. 10 Mega Watts Katsina Wind Power Plant The N4.4 billion Katsina Wind power plant project was awarded to a French company in 2010
9.
These ones won't hear you,Lagos alone has more mega projects than the whole of their country.

The reason behind them coming here to rant is because we have belittled this country of ours by indulging in arguments with them

Thank you. This is exactly the reason why a country like Kenya would never be taken seriously.
Everything about Kenya is in Nairobi.

Take away Nairobi from Kenya and Somalia would be better than the outcome.

You see, this is one reason why people think Kenya is better than Nigeria.
Since the Independence of Kenya, the Kenyan government has spent virtually all it's money into Nairobi alone. Why do you think Nairobi has the largest slums in the world?
There are no opportunities elsewhere in Kenya, hence every Kenyan from the nook and crannies of Kenya want to live in Nairobi...

If not for the secessionist agitations of the coastal swahilis of Kenya, the Kenyan govt would have never thought of developing Mombasa (the major port city of Kenya).

Haven't you wondered why Kenya is still an overwhelmingly rural country?

Nigeria on the other hand is a predominantly urban country and the country through the state governments simultaneously manage dozens of cities and urban areas.

Take me for instance, I am from a middle class Nigerian family. My father was also from a middle class family, likewise my grandfather.
We have never really known what poverty is in my lineage for generations now. With all this, neither I nor any of my family members or even extended families have lived in Lagos or had any connection with Lagos. Neither of us live in Abuja either. And there are so many million others like me all over Nigeria.

In a country like Kenya, this is almost non-existent. Almost every middle class kenyan or at least 90% of Kenya's middle class live in Nairobi.

If anyone here doubts me, let all the Kenyans here tell you where they live or earn their living from, it is always Nairobi.

There are over 40 million middle-class Nigerians and majority of us do not live in Lagos or even have any connection with Lagos.

This tells you how uneven development is in Kenya compared to Nigeria. This is why no reasonable person should take Kenya with high esteem or any seriousness when it comes to the kind of development they brag about in their country.

Obi1kenobi:
Who said he was the richest before or are you deliberately misquoting me? He's one of the richest. That is what I said. Only Dangote, and probably Adenuga are wealthier than Chagoury. Of course Indians have less influence in Nigeria because there are 25,000 Indians in Nigeria compared to Kenya with over 80,000 Indians. This means there are 13 Indians in Kenya for every Indian in Nigeria per capita. This is despite the massive exit of Indians in the 60's after they were persecuted by the Kenyan government. The population was as high as almost 180,000 in 1962 which would have made them a large chunk of a far less populated Kenya at the time.

What I don't understand is your insinuation that Kenyans are "slaves" because Indians are successful in Kenya. You can argue whatever you wish without distasteful comments like that.
Brother chaguory isn't relevant like that oo.
It seems you don't know much about our country by saying that

Lagos is a Hub for Entertainment, sports, fashion, real estate,ICT ,business, sports,Luxury etc in Nigeria and Africa.
It will continue to give you headache that Lagos economy is bigger than your country.

It will give you more pain that lagos has more hyper projects than any city in Africa.

There isn't any excuse for your economical flaws.

NairobiWalker:
Dude, what kind of an idiot are you?

1. Lagos is the economic capital of Nigeria. Common sense dictates that it will take a lion's share of your $400 billion economy. Lagos' economy being larger than Kenya's doesn't mean Nigeria is by far superior to Kenya, look at the total GDP of Nigeria v its population in comparison to Kenya's to get a clear picture. See, of the $88 billion GDP OF Kenya, Nairobi accounts for about $44 billion. That makes Nairobi a bigger economy than 80% of African countries - bigger than countries like Cote d'Ivoire and almost equal to Ghana. Can I say then Kenya is better than Ghana by far? Definitely not.

2. Oil doesn't have to be mined in Lagos for it to benefit from it. See, most Kenyans depend on Agriculture. No farming happens in Nairobi yet Nairobi contributes 50% of Kenya's GDP. Can we then say Nairobi doesn't depend on Agriculture? Definitely NO! You'll be a special kind of stupid to believe that, in fact if Agriculture went down, the economy of Nairobi will be badly hit. Why? The agricultural production of Kenya ends up in Nairobi, industries that produce Agricultural inputs are in Nairobi, horticultural products are exported via air through Nairobi, many farmers spend their money in Nairobi. You get the gist? Yes. Lagos might not have oil fields but money from oil fields is spent in Lagos, people who make money from oil invest their money in Lagos, Lagos benefits from the federal budget that draws its funds from oil. I gues lots of oil is exported through Lagos. Are you so dumb that these things have to be explained to you?

PS - All cities in Africa have ongoing projects. Stop this 'What if the ongoing projects in Lagos are completed' bullshit. It just makes you look dumb.
I will just give you this last chance, I never abused you but your being desperate allowed you to resort to insult.Lagos isn't receiving any Federal allocation and yet still has a bigger economy.
The day you people understand the way Lagos economy is,you will know Lagos isn't a child's play

Nigeria GDP is $410 billion, Kenya GDP is $88 billion. Nigeria GDP is slightly over four times Kenya's GDP. Nigeria population is about 200 million, Kenya's population is about 48 million, Nigerias population is slightly over 4 times Kenya's population. I just don't understand all the fuss about your GDP then considering you have oil and we don't. If Kenya's GDP was a tenth of Nigeria's GDP whilst our population was just a quarter then you could talk.
I am not even using Nigeria, I said Lagos economy is not dependent on oil and yet its economy is bigger than kenya

What if the ongoing projects in Lagos are completed, it means Lagos economy will supercede East Africa's Economy.

You have no Excuse for your failure and inability

Beginning later this year, the two inner lanes marked in pink will be used strictly for Mass Rapid Transport buses on Kenyan freeways.

I do know this wouldnt work in some lawless countries like Nigeria because everyone is tempted to use all free lanes.

You had better not go to satellite technology, because Nigeria is miles ahead in Africa, except for SA
rvp20182:
While Nigeria paid tonnes of money to foreigners to build and launch their sat (each I think cost 30M dollars smiley) - Kenya's UON has build it's small satellite and it's will go blasted to the space - all these for something like 1M dollars.
Known as the First Kenyan University Nano Satellite—Precursor Flight (1KUNS-PF), the satellite is a product of University of Nairobi, in collaboration with Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)’s Japanese Experiment Module “Kibo Programme” and United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA).
The 10-by-10-by-10 cube satellite will have several benefits for Kenya which include weather forecasting, earth mapping, environmental and animal observation and will also be used in assisting the multimedia sector in the country.
