Shaytun:How I wish Dangotes 12,000mw refinery can be functional now |
arinzeejikonye:how I wish Northern Nigeria can also experience the amount of civilization that other regions are experiencing. Nigeria can be Great,if every of our leaders are serious at all levels |
arinzeejikonye:of course yes, sure. My main point is,many of our African brothers think because Nigerians are travelling out of the country that, that gives them the Authentication that Nigeria isn't also progressing. |
arinzeejikonye:it will open oshodi as a major transport hub for Lagos mainland. I use to laugh at some people comparing any African city to Lagos in terms of development and infrastructure |
GERALD710:We have told you,Nigeria has just started with its efforts, Nigeria is recovering from years of bad governance. In no time,Nigeria will improve drastically.Nigerias manufacturing sectors is still one of the top largest in Africa with our issues in power. Nigeria is just too unique in every ramifications |
TayserMahiri:Why do you think there isn't any plan, buhari also has target to put in place critical infrastructure,he plans to improve the ease of doing business, which has yielded this.As our power infrastructure improves,we shall also improve on the index. One thing that is not making Nigeria live up to Expectations is power. Nigeria was among the top ten Nations to record the highest growth with India recording the highest. |
My advice to you ibos without insults, stop transferring your inability to gain political freedom on other regions especially the SW. Lagos,Ibadan,Osun,Ogun people are not shouting marginalization, the FG isn't responsible for all your predicaments, do something and reduce your hatred towards the country that you are still in |
so this SA guy is here again |

The World Bank on Tuesday released its latest Doing Business Rankings, and in cheering news for the administration, the country moved up 24 places from 169th last year to 145th out of 190 ranked economies. Nigeria was also recognized this year as one of the top 10 most improved Doing Business economies in the world.“After a decade-long decline in Nigeria’s rankings, last year the Government recorded a modest increase. This year, Mr President set us an ambitious target of moving up twenty places in the rankings – I am delighted that we have exceeded his goal,” said Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in a statement after the report was released. The five reform areas which the World Bank highlighted forNigeria this year are: *.Starting a Business, *.Dealing with Construction Permits *.Registering Property *.Getting Credit, and*.Paying Taxes. A proof of just how far the country can go when the Executive and legislative armswork together was in the Getting Credit indicator. Nigeria is now ranked 6th worldwide on Getting Credit and a huge reason for that success was the collaboration between the executive and the national assembly “to pass two new Acts, the Secured Transactions in Movable Assets Act 2017 and the Credit Reporting Act 2017, thereby strengthening the legal framework for access to credit for SMEs across the country – an important requirement for the success of SMEs.”Reforming the business environment is one of the legacy initiatives of the Pres. Muhammadu Buhari administration. On resumption as Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah, said ease of doing business was going to be a priority of his ministry. His push got the buy-in of the presidency and led to the setting up of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) in late 2016. The council is chaired by Vice President Osinbajo and has ten ministers, head of Civil Service of the Federation, governor of the CBN and representatives of the nationalassembly and private sector as members. The Enabling Business Environment Secretariat (EBES) was also set up to implement the reforms of the Council.“For the first time, coordinatedefforts across various levels of governments have been undertaken to make it easier to do business in Nigeria. I commend all stakeholders who worked with us to achieve this significant result, particularly the National Assembly, Lagos and Kano State Governments, and the private sector,” Osinbajo said in his statement. He said the focus of the government “remains firmly on ensuring that SMEs operating in Nigeria find it easier to do business. Our ultimate success will be the testimonials received from businesses all across the country. However, this report endorses the direction that we have been taking to improve the ease of doing business in Nigeria over the last 12-18 months. Although we are beginning to get some positive feedback, we still have a lot of work to do before the full impact of our reforms are felt by all Nigerians.” https://bizafricadaily.com/2017/10/31/breaking-nigeria-moves-24-positions-world-bank-business-rankings/?_e_pi_=7%2CPAGE_ID10%2C5072589230 |

The Lagos State Government under the leadership of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode may have begun the proposed phase-out of yellow commercial buses also known as ‘Danfo’ from Lagos roads.A few months back, Governor Ambode pledged that in conformity with the MegaCity status of Lagos, his administration will introduce and take delivery of modern buses to replace the regular Danfo buses plying the Lagos roads. However, if the latest development in some major motor parks or garages across the State is anything to go by, then the Lagos State Government may have systematically started the phase-out process, as most of these buses drivers have been asked to leave some major motor parks in the state, in a move that is laying credence to Governor Ambode’s stance on their continued existence on the road.Garages affected by this directive include Ojuelegba, Oshodi, and Ikeja respectively.Findings made byHappenings.com.ngrevealed that the yellow buses have been driven away from Ojuelegba under the bridge which used to be their garage, likewise Ikeja garage, Obalende, and Oshodi. In Ojuelegba, and Ikeja for instance, Danfo buses now park and pick commuters on the road, while a makeshift park was provided for them in Oshodi. It would be recalled that Governor Ambode said the introduction of 5000 new commercial buses for Lagos roads would be the first step by his administration to change the existing transportation system predominantly driven by the yellow buses. The Governor’s previous statement on the claim read thus: “In the last one year, we have decided that we must integrate rail, road, water, and air transportation systems in such a way that the system ofconnectivity is improved upon and I would like to have a direct partnership on how that can actually be actualized”.“Right now, we are cleaning out all the yellow buses you see in the State. As we proceed in the next six months and a span of three years, we are introducing 5000 new buses of European standard toactually clean up the city because if you want to grow the economy of Lagos, transportation is key and then it’s a major infrastructure for tourism itself.” |

Ttipsy:Leave this people alone and don't compare again, the area I know Kenya is better is in the area of tourism and yes Nigeria needs to upgrade its infrastructure and do more like the rails, power, dredging of dams and other interventions in the aviation sector that buhari is doing but he needs to do more at a rapid rate. Well,Kenya maybe partially ahead for now in infrastructure but Nigeria is working hard and we have the money to Cover many infrastructural Gaps. # why did PDP take us backward for 16 years |
