Guys let be smart, who are those helping hand that are already in to it?. Please let not allowed any body use us to achieved his own personal interest or destroy some one career. And we should know, not everyone one that undergo this recruitment process is on NL. Please let me ask this simple questions. How many applicants that went through interview process? and how many of them are on NL to testify, I believed not up to 2%, how do you know you passed the interview? Will you support this agititation if you were successful? Is DPR the only job that you do to survive? What have you been doing all this two years of recruitment? Waiting for DPR? This your plan protest is already dead on arrival because it doesn't have the moral background to succeed,because it purely personal. Also you alleged that the recruitment favour the Northerners how do you know that? do you have figures to proved that? That's why Nigeria will never be one. And you still want the Northerners to join your protest abi? Please we should think and do things like educated people.

In as much as we know DPR can't employ everyone, at least let's try and change the way things are done in this country. We can't continue to remain silent and expect things to change. There are better ways DPR would have finalised this recruitment without suspense from any angle.
What happened to the portals they promised to use, what happened to emails and text.messages, why not call everybody that was successful at once. All these spell to us that something is fishy and has to be put on check.
In my own opinion there is nothing wrong with the planned protest, a peaceful one though. Let them know that the youths are no longer in the dark and that we are beginning to take cognissance of what they are doing.

I won't say the list is doctored or authentic but 4 persons my BOSS followed up regorously got the job but their REFERENCE numbers that I know off arn't in that list..

Secondly, 2 persons I was opportune to see their recommendation letters which contain their DPR REFERENCE numbers from 1 of the SSA's arn't in that list also but their APL was sent to the SSA.

By way of coming clean, I'm not too comfortable with that list with diff formant.

Every 1 should just relax. Compilation of name's is ongoing and it will take a while before releasing it to new set of successful ones. At this point,, its only the 2key players that can save you from this suspens.

As for the protest, DPR can't employ every 1. There may be no need for that. This is what will happen if you carry on with the protest, NASS assembly may hyjack the protest. They will as well take over this current list you are waiting for. Most of them are veey angry trust me.

House of REPS are looking for an opportunity to invite director. Please and Please, don't give the law makers the ressons to do so.

Come to think of it, what makes you feel or think that your name's are not in this current list??

Director is seriouly under presure from these highly profile fellows. Don't add to it please. He can't even use his phone effectively. So many calls, demand and request may flood into the system if you protest. Let's rejoice with those that have gotten the job, your plans may jeopardize their chances please.

Advice;
Dont go and spoil things for your selfs and the successful ones. Be patient and prayerful. The recruitment arn't over yet.

The truth of the matter is, from the onset of this present government it has been engulfed with sentiments and nepotism. Boycotting federal character in all aspects of appointments not just this recruitment, but also in federal government appointments. The present government tend to favour people from one particular zone.
Let's assume not everybody that applied for this recruitment is on nairaland, but the fraction on this platform goes a long way to determine if this recruitment is merit based or not let alone following federal character in the final selection process. From all indication this recruitment has come to an end, but question is, as future leaders should we keep our arms akimbo and watch things continue like this.
I thought by now, we should be thinking on how to get the truth about this recruitment by asking alot of questions. Why was there no sms or emails sent to successful ones? Why hasn't the potals been updated as stipulated on their website that the portal will be used to the very end, why are they calling people in batches. Also why is so many states not fairly represented and many more questions coming to my mind.
Conclusively, let's put our heads together as learned and articulate youths and think of what to do next. This nonsense has to stop in this country. Thanks all

If I’m to be sincere, from all indications, it seems this recruitment has been concluded. DPR has called the “people” the want. It is well.

I believe the moment the already contacted ones starts getting messages on documentation that will spell the end.

Exactly my point, at this stage we need no soothsayer to tell us that something is fishy. Letters started rolling in since last week without a formal email/sms being sent. In my own opinion protest is the only option.

Protest The Only Option Left

Most of us are irked by the unprofessionalism of DPR at the tail of this recruitment exercise. It's not only disgraceful but a slap on our faces. As it stands now, everything is at stake and the best option left calls for a well planned protest. Am based in enugu but willing to join forces in the Abuja protest. We can't continue like this. Even if I get APL, notwithstanding I will still support the protest. Why? It was not merit based and marred by high level unprofesionlism and callous manipulations. At this point, I implore to everyone to come out en mass and fight for our rights and for posterity sake . At the end of the day, we obviously have very slim chance of getting the offer but at least we may be fighting for our children, generation to come and perhaps a better Nigeria. I almost risked expulsion in my final year over school fees hike, I am not supposed to be involved in the payments but I did because of the students in lower years and the incoming ones. When we protest we lose nothing, when we refuse to protest we lose all. Give deaf ears to those cautioning us on the risk of protest or advising us to postpone it, they already hid their APLs in briefcases. The time calls now. This is the right time for protest. Now or never. We can start off with Lagos and Abuja on Monday .we need volunteers, we need to fight for our right. We are not lazy youths. We are smart, intelligent, brilliant aggressive when it calls

Reasonable talk! By now we don't need an oracle to tell us that the process is hijacked and if at this point silence is still maintained then dead in silence is eminent...too much silence they say na mumu.
Again, doing the protest in a wrong way may only provoke cancellation or something worst. Let's engage in an educated protest via the right channels that would ignite fear on their part for a productive outcome.

Pls Mavel, with all due respect I believe we have a concrete reason to embark on any protest. This is simply because most of these guys that got their Apl did not receive any text from DPR but from their sponsors.
So that alone should be our anchor for the protest. Things should not be done that way. Everybody deserves equal right. We all know that not everybody will be contacted but at least their should be some some level of equity and fairness in this country.

It’s important the applicants give DPR the benefit of the doubt by giving them till Monday next week before taking any action. The merit list will remain the same and unchanged, their letters will be intact. The worst DPR can do is to not call the successful ones to make them feel they didn’t make the final list till their offer expires by 1st October, in a bid to replace them with more stakeholders candidates that were left out. DPR will never edit the merit list and destroy their letters. Remember they have 3 months to accept the offer. There are 200 letters for the stakeholders candidates, so don’t expect all to be distributed in one day.

If by next week Monday, the zonal offices don’t contact the successful ones then the applicants can make their move but for now let them be patient.

If it calls for protesting, let's protest I stand solidly by it. This is because the earlier we start the better for us. Since we are too sure that some people have collected their own APL. After all we are all citizen and we deserve equal right.
I believe strongly with togertherness we can change the way things are done in this country.

I just pray this recruitment don't turn out like the FIRS recruitment, where some people that have the connect are busy collecting APL, while others are busy waiting till when mails started rolling in for induction

hello, by unofficially i mean via SMS/emails to successfuls as it should be done "officially " before i can pick up. congrats ma. Trust me tho i earned this! I know people there same as you is why i was able to get it before they contacted everyone just the same way as you did. I wish everyone the best and I'm certain there are people that will get APLs without knowing anyone in the industry.
