Justice John Adeyeye of an Ekiti State High Court sitting in Ado Ekiti has ordered the authorities of the Ekiti State University to reinstate a student, Adedotun Babalola, who was expelled for alleged rape and pay him N10million in damages.


The Judge based his ruling on the grounds that Babalola was expelled without being found guilty of the crime by any court or tribunal, which constituted a breach of his fundamental human rights to a fair hearing.

The judge also ordered the university to write to him a letter of unreserved apology to be published in three national newspapers. Babalola and Omoteye Olalekan were earlier arraigned before another court, presided over by Justice Ayodeji Daramola, for allegedly raping an unnamed lady on March 6, 2013.

The Judge, however, struck out the case “in the interest of justice” because Babalola's wasn't well represented by his counsel and the alleged rape victim showed no interest in pursuing the case.
Counsel for EKSU, Mr. Ajide Olayemi, said he would consult with the management on the next line of action.

Two Nigerian college students Mustafa Azmir and Jude Nnamdi Achonye were on Wednesday December 20, handed the death sentence by a High Court in Shah Alam for trafficking 3.5 kilogrammes of methamphetamine.

Shah Alam High Court judge Datuk Abdul Halim Aman made the ruling after finding that the prosecution had proven a prima facie case against the accused, Azmir, 28, and Achonye, 30.

According to the criminal charge brought against them, Azmir and Achonye were accused of trafficking the drugs at an apartment in Petaling Jaya at 3.30pm on Sept 2, 2014 which is an offense under Section 39B (1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

The facts of the case stated that the accused, who studied at a private college in Kuala Lumpur, were arrested by police when they accepted several boxes containing the drug which was delivered by a courier company at the apartment.

Abdul Halim, in his ruling, said the court had studied testimonies from 13 prosecution witnesses and two defence witnesses, alongside 73 exhibits tendered during the trial.

"The defence had failed to raise reasonable doubt at the end of this case and presented no testimony that thoroughly refutes the prosecution," he said.

"Besides that, there were also discrepancies in testimonies of the accused and their defence only amounted to denial without concrete evidence," he said.

Deputy public prosecutor Mohd Rehan Mohd Aris appeared for the prosecution, while the accused were represented by lawyer Leonard Anselm Gomes.

A man who is believed to have the world’s largest penis has been registered as disabled because he can’t wear uniforms or kneel.

Roberto Esquivel Cabrera’s penis measures 18 inches, reaching his knees. The 55-year-old from Saltillo, Mexico, has dangled weights off his penis for his entire life to increase its size and there was talk of him going into porn at one point.

However, he’s now receiving benefits to help him live while he tries to find a solution to his problem. He said: ‘I cannot wear a uniform like anybody in the companies and also I cannot get on my knees. ‘I cannot run fast and so the companies think badly of me. They say that they will call me, but they never do.’
He hit headlines when he smashed the unofficial world record held by US actor Jonah Falcon, whose penis was 9.5 inches flaccid and 13.5 inches when erect. Yet despite being super-endowed, the 54-year-old’s penis has caused him a number of health problems, including frequent urinary tract infections because not all his urine escapes his foreskin.

He’s also unable to sleep on his front and has to put his penis, which has to be wrapped in bandages, on its own pillow so he’s not in discomfort at night.

Despite all these issues, he refuses to have a penile reduction, as per his doctor’s recommendation, as he wants his ‘gift’ to be recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records. He said: ‘I would like to be in the Guinness Book of Records but they don’t recognise this record. ‘I am famous because I have the biggest penis in the world. I am happy with my penis, I know nobody has the size I have.’

His doctor, Dr Jesus David Salazar Gonzalez, said:
‘We have advised him “Roberto, the best thing for you is that the doctors give a normal shape to your penis so that it doesn’t hurt you, in order to have sexual relationships, in order to have children”.
‘But he doesn’t accept it, he’d rather have a penis bigger than the rest of the people.’ ‘In Latin culture whoever has the bigger penis is more macho. It’s something that makes him different to the rest of the people and makes him feels special.’
Doctors recently did a thorough examination of Mr Cabrera’s penis, confirming suspicions that the bulk of his nearly 20-inch penis is foreskin.

His penile glands stretch only seven inches, meaning the rest of his member is completely foreskin and blood vessels.

They have also been able to offer some insight in just how his penis became quite so large – they say he has been stretching his penis with weights since his teenager. Dr Gonzalez added: ‘He was obsessed with the penis length. He began with this enlargement since he was a teenager, wrapping some bands around his penis with some weights and trying to stretch it.’

A judge has called for an inquiry after a student was cleared of rape when police failed to disclose evidence casting doubt over the case.

Liam Allan, 22, faced a two-year ordeal and three days in court before his trial was halted at the eleventh hour.


A court heard that his accuser had sent messages asking him for casual sex and expressing fantasies about having violent sex, including the desire to be raped. However, these messages were not handed over to prosecutors.

It is believed that the woman made up the claim because Mr Allan was going to university and would not be seeing her again. The woman’s phone contained 40,000 messages including those that showed she pestered him for ‘casual sex’.

They also revealed that she had told friends about her fantasies of being raped by him and having violent sex with him. Scotland Yard is carrying out an ‘urgent assessment’ into the collapse of the case following the late disclosure of evidence that undermined the case.

As the trial was halted at Croydon Crown Court yesterday the judge called for a review of disclosure of evidence by the Metropolitan Police, as well as an inquiry at the Crown Prosecution Service, The Times reported.

Police are understood to have looked at thousands of phone messages when reviewing evidence but it was not until the prosecution was close to trial that Met officers disclosed messages between the complainant and her friends which cast doubt on the case against Mr Allan.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said they offered no evidence in the case on Thursday, as it was decided ‘there was no longer a realistic prospect of conviction’.

Speaking outside court, Mr Allan told The Times: ‘I can’t explain the mental torture of the past two years. I feel betrayed by the system which I had believed would do the right thing the system i want to work in.’

Writing in the paper, prosecuting barrister and former Conservative MP Jerry Hayes said: ‘I told the judge that this was the most appalling failure of disclosure that I have ever encountered. ‘The CPS are under terrible pressure, as are the police. Both work hard but are badly under-resourced.

‘Crown court trials only work because of the co-operation and goodwill of advocates and the bench but time pressures are making this increasingly difficult. ‘Because of the swingeing cuts that the Treasury continuously imposes, the system is not just creaking, it is about to croak.’

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: ‘We are aware of this case being dismissed from court and are carrying out an urgent assessment to establish the circumstances which led to this action being taken.

An aggresive beggar who has been seen abusing people in various parts of Liverpool, the beggar who was identified as Lee Debrucker has been confirmed of not being homeless.

Lee Debrucker was caught on camera last month abusing and shouting at people who did not give him money while he sat outside Liverpool Central station.

Today Debrucker, 43, appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court where he pleaded guilty to an offence of begging. During the hearing, Debrucker confirmed that he does have a home address. When asked in court he spoke instantly to say it was High Street in.

A woman risked life and limb after running into freezing waters to save her dog from drowning.

The footage, taken in Brighton, East Sussex, shows the woman as she struggled to rescue her pet after it was dragged out to sea.

Disappearing under the water for several seconds, powerful waves carried the woman back up the beach as the dog desperately tried to keep its head above water.

The fully clothed woman finally grabbed the bedraggled animal before she was hit by another wave and a bystander dragged the dog to safety.

She then stayed seated before regaining composure and walking back to the beach from the sea herself.

Struggling mother of four, Wilfa Soto Peguero claimed she agreed to get to know Glyn Thomas Bailey in person after he offered to help her raise her children.

A young girl was murdered after being raped with a wooden stick in India.

The 6-year-old girl is said to have been tortured and raped with the 10-inch piece of wood, according to India Today TV.


Doctors found the stick still inside her body when they carried out a post-mortem examination in Hisar, north western India. She is said to have gone missing from her family home overnight on Saturday and was found the next day by neighbours who had volunteered to help find her.

Her family have now said that they do not want to cremate her body until the person who carried out the attack is arrested.

Dr Reetu Gupta, who carried out the post mortem, said: ‘The victim died due to torture perpetrated by inserting wood in her body by the accused.
‘We have also found injuries inside the intestine and uterus.
‘The wood was inserted with force which not only caused serious injuries inside the uterus but also in the intestine.
When she was discovered she was bleeding from the mouth and throat, and she had bruising to her shoulders and waist. People in Hisar and Uklana are said to have blocked roads and closed shops as they demand action.

A Shop assistant, Hasna Begum, has been sentence to life imprisonment after she stabbed 23-year-old part-time DJ Pietro Sanna 36 times.

In the days before the murder, the 25-year-old sent threatening messages to Pietro’s date Giulia Consonni using fake Instagram profiles.


Then on June 23, five months after their relationship ended, Begum climbed out of her window at 6am, took a taxi to Pietro’s home in Canning Town, east London and stabbed him to death.

She had been wearing a blonde wig and gloves as she confronted then brutally attacked him before fleeing with his phone. Changing into his hooded top and trousers to hide her blood-stained clothes, she jumped in a taxi and went to a medical centre to get a cut to her thumb checked out.

Begum then used the Italian man’s phone for the next few days, deleting his Instagram posts and calling him six times in an attempt to cover her tracks. His body was found three days later when she anonymously tipped off his brother.

scblog learnt that Begum met Pietro, who worked in a Canary Wharf sandwich shop while she worked at a Clinton’s card shop in January 2016. She claimed they started a year-long relationship but eventually split in January this year as she suspected him of cheating on her.

Begum says she went to his home on the day of the murder to discuss getting back together and decided to wear the wig because she wanted to look her best and not ‘like a tramp’. The gloves she had on were just ‘how I accessorise’, she told the court.

DCI Gary Holmes, who led the investigation, said: ‘This was a callous, brutal and merciless attack on a young man who had his whole life ahead of him. ‘The frenzied brutal nature of the attack must have been entirely unexpected by the victim. Her behavior before and after the attack was very conceited and her claim of self-defense was rightly dismissed by the jugde.

This is the astonishing moment a randy couple are filmed having sex at the wheel of a car while driving at 70mph. The passenger in the vehicle passing them was so shocked he got his mobile out and recorded them in the throes of the passion.

The bespectacled mystery man with the woman bouncing up and down on his lap appeared to be just about managing to keep his eye on the road in front of him over his lover’s shoulder as he left one hand on the steering wheel to avoid crashing and ran his other hand through her hair. The shocking incident happened near Yala in the province of Jujuy in north-west Argentina on National Route 9, a major road which links the capital Buenos Aires to the country’s border with Bolivia and crosses seven provinces. Argentina has one of the highest traffic-related death rates in the world, with around 22 people dying every day in road traffic accidents.

Argentina topped a road traffic death league of shame released two years ago by the International Transport Forum, showing more than 5,000 deaths per year, although the situation at the time was said to be improving.

Parts of Route 9 have been branded among the most dangerous in the country, with animals on the road being a problem as well as the number of people who still drink-drive.

Ten vehicles including five lorries collided on the road last month during a dust storm, causing one death. Local newspaper Notinor Jujuy, which first published the video, said: ‘A reader filmed this foolish behaviour by a driver who was on National Route 9 near Yala this weekend.

A Togolese woman has been arrested for allegedly burying her 3-month old son alive right after meeting a rich man who promised to marry her.

According to reports, the woman didn't want her rich lover to know that she had a child, so she decided to get rid of her baby, by cold-heartedly torturing him by buring him alive in a shallow grave.

She was exposed when the boy's father came looking for his son and she made several lame excuses as to his whereabouts. After so much pressure from the baby daddy's family, she confessed to her crime and took them to the location where she buried her son.

The family reported the case to the Police, who then arrested her.

7-year-old Hakeem Hussain was found in freezing conditions early morning after on Sunday.

It is believed the Nechells Primary Academy pupil had been there for some time before his body was found having suffered cardiac arrest.

His mother, 35, and great and great uncle, 56, were arrested for wilfully neglecting and ill-treating a child. Two ambulances went to the scene in Cook Street, Nechells, but nothing could be done for Hakeem.
His headteacher Julie Wright wrote to parents saying: ‘This loss to our academy community is sure to raise many emotions and concerns for our staff and pupils.
‘We currently cannot provide any further information, however we would like to reassure you that there will be dedicated support in place at this difficult time.
‘We are working with Birmingham City Council to ensure that staff and pupils have access to grief and bereavement counsellors. ‘We are saddened by the loss to our academy community and will make every effort to support you and your child as you need.’ A post mortem examination is due to take place today to determine the cause of death.

A woman who leads a gang that recruits women to marry and murder men to claim their life insurance has been arrested.

Esmeralda Aravel Flores Acosta, 39, has been dubbed the Black Widow. She was arrested in El Salvador, Central America following the deaths of several victims. Police said the gang led by Esmeralda recruited attractive girls in shopping centres and universities with the promise of taking them to the US.

The young female recruits were made to marry men who are well off and then encouraged to get their husbands to get life insurance. Two or three weeks after, gang members were sent to murder the husbands. After the deaths of their new husbands, the young women were instead taken to Mexico where they were forced into prostitution.

San Salvador police chief said: "She pretended to be a housewife and told young women that they would marry eligible American bachelors and live in the United States."

Flores Acosta denied the allegations and claims she's a business woman.

She said: "I declare myself innocent. I have never worked at home. I sell vehicles and I am a stylist."

Flores Acosta is accused of aggravated human trafficking, conspiracy to commit aggravated homicide and aggravated fraud. Police say that over $145,000 has been claimed in insurance following the deaths of several victims. It is believed that Flores Acosta has been operating the violent scam for six months. Two other female gang members have also been arrested, one of whom is the Black Widow’s sister.

A man who pretends to be injured just to get people to part with their money has been caught and shamed in Enugu.

The begger has what appears to be a burn injury on his stomach but it turns out it was a disguise. He was caught last Friday at New Heaven in Enugu state and was made to peel off the fake wound.

Rapper Kodak Black is so unromantic if his action in this proposal video is anything to go by.

There's a video online of the rapper proposing to his beautiful girlfriend Cuban Doll, but he seemed too proud to do it the proper way. First, he asked his woman to stand and when she did, he proposed but he was still sitting down.


The lady then told him that he was meant to go on one knee to do that but he refused. To make matters worse, he didn't even have a ring so he proposed with a wad of cash which he threw on the floor as though his girl were a stripper. A condom even fell on the floor together with the money. When Cuban Doll insisted that that was making her look cheap, he then removed one of the rings he had on his finger and tried to propose to her with it.

He still refused to go on one knee, instead he pulled her down to her knees while he was still sitting. It is not clear if Doll accepted the proposal, but at the end of the video, she was seen kissing Kodak after which she picked the money from the floor and said, "I'm married to the money."

Troops of 202 Battalion of 21 Brigade Nigerian Army in Conjunction with elements of Mobile Strike Teams (MSTs) on Operations LAFIYA DOLE, in furtherance of clearance and blockade Operation DEEP PUNCH 2, on Saturday cleared Boko Haram terrorists' enclaves in Abusuriwa, Newchina, Bonzon, Usmanari, Goyayeri, Shitimari, Gashimari, Awaram amongst other villages in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.
In a statement by Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, the Director of Army Public Relations, he said during the operation, a Boko Hara suspect was captured, while 8 others were neutralized.

The gallant troops were also able to recover 4 AK-47 Rifles, 3 Magazines, 7 Dane guns, and Machetes, amongst many other items.

Similarly, troops of 152 Battalion of the Brigade deployed as a blocking force at the Foward Operations Base Kumshe to aid a successful clearance operation ambushed some fleeing unsuspecting Boko Haram terrorists and neutralized five of the fleeing terrorists, while troops of 151 Battalion also deployed at the Forward Operations Base, Darel Jamel, neutralized a terrorist in an ambush.

A Chinese general who disappeared from public view while under investigation for corruption was found dead at his home in Beijing after apparently committing suicide.


Zhang Yang, 66, committed suicide on Nov. 23, the state-run Xinhua news agency said, citing China’s Central Military Commission. The Xinhua report said Mr. Zhang was living at home while he was being questioned in connection with unspecified corruption charges.

The general, who had been director of the political department of the People’s Liberation Army, disappeared from public sight more than two months ago amid a crackdown on corruption by President Xi Jinping. Besides Mr. Zhang, Gen. Fang Fenghui, a rising star in the Chinese military, also vanished from public view.

Mr. Zhang committed "serious violations of discipline and the law and was suspected of the crimes of bribery as well as huge amounts of assets in which the sources are unknown," the Xinhua report said. At the time of his death, Mr. Zhang was being investigated for links to Guo Boxiong and Xu Caihou, the two highest-ranking army commanders netted so far in Mr. Xi’s crackdown. Mr. Guo was given a life sentence last year after a military court found him guilty of taking bribes in return for giving promotions and transfers. Mr. Xu died in 2015 of bladder cancer while awaiting a corruption trial.

The People’s Liberation Army Daily, the military’s official newspaper, released a commentary that called Mr. Zhang’s suicide "shameful." It also criticized him for being "a typical two-faced person" who advocated loyalty on one hand but engaged in corruption on the other.

"In committing suicide to avoid punishment from the party and the country’s laws, Zhang Yang’s action was abominable," said the commentary, posted on the newspaper’s official WeChat social media account.

A fight broke out between two black men in an NYC subway train yesterday after one of the men, who is from America, told the other man who is an African immigrant to go back to his country.

Both men were standing in the crowded train when they began exchanging words and the African American kept taunting the African man, telling him, "go back to your country". At a point, the African man got fed up and put hands on the American man and a fight ensued.

The fight continued even as other passengers tried to separate them. According to reports, the altercation was as a result of a discussion both men were having. They were discussing racism in America when things went awry. The African-American felt the African man was bad mouthing the country so he told him off.

Olaoluwa Adejo, a 32-year-old bank worker has been arrested for the death of his 28-year-old wife, Maureen, at their home on Peluola Street, Oworonshoki, Bariga, Lagos State.


Olaoluwa was alleged to have tortured his wife of five years with a belt, as well as cutting her with a machete. Their 5-year-old son, Richard, who witnessed the incident, said that his father also forced a local insecticide, otapiapia, down the throat of his mother.
“My daddy beat my mummy with a belt; machete her here (shows arms), machete her here (shows legs). He used the belt on her here (points at face); forced my mummy to drink otapiapia (insecticide). My daddy took my mummy away.
My daddy said my mummy should get out of the house. My mummy said no. In the night, my daddy woke my mummy up and said, ‘Mosquito is too much, let me go and buy otapiapia’. My daddy forced my mummy to drink it. She shook her head. She vomited.
My daddy slapped my mummy. My mummy did not do anything to him. My daddy gave her one blow. My daddy kicked her. Small blood came out. My daddy slapped her, kicked her, machete her, blow her, and put otapiapia in her mouth and in the food,” Richard said.
The victim’s mother, Mrs. Kate Jonathan, explained that her daughter had moved out of her matrimonial house five days prior the incident and was living with her but decided to return for a party at the children’s school. She said her daughter never returned alive.

She said she reported the case at the Station, where she was told that the suspect had already reported that his wife committed suicide by taking local insecticide, Sniper.

It was gathered that Olaoluwa had already deposited the body of his wife in the Gbagada General Hospital mortuary and had allegedly gone to obtain court documents to enable him to bury her, before he was arrested.

The victim’s mother, Jonathan, who claimed to have visited the mortuary, said Maureen’s body had machete cuts and other torture marks.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chike Oti, said investigations were ongoing into the incident.

Prince Harry, fifth in line to the British throne, is set to marry American actress Meghan Markle, Buckingham Palace confirmed on Monday, ending months of intense rumours and discreet courtship.

It was announced that the two were engaged earlier this month in London and will tie the knot in spring 2018, according to a statement released by Prince Charles.

“Prince Harry has informed the Queen and other close members of The Royal Family,” the statement read.
The couple will make two public appearances later Monday, Kensington Palace stated, with a photo call and a broadcast interview.

A Nigerian Lawyer and human rights activist has called on Nigerian men to keep their wives in oppressive conditions and beat them so the women will learn to submit to them.
Solomon Ogbogboyibo, who claims to be a lawyer and a human rights activist, took to Facebook to advise men to ensure they subdue their wives because if women are given freedom they will abuse it.
"Wives should be beaten to submission if necessary. Overindulgence of the womenfolk leads to wives slapping or stabbing husbands. #Abomination," he wrote.
When people called him out for his post, he stood his grounds and posted an even more absurd comment defending his initial post.
"Women need to be kept in oppressive conditions because when you give them freedom they consistently abuse it. #Give them freedom and throw away their submission," he wrote.

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command have arrested Magnus Nsikak, 40, and his wife Ruth for selling their three children for N50,000 each.

Nsikak and his wife allegedly conspired and sold their three sons, three-day-old Samuel, five-year-old Ubong and 10-year-old Ekpo to a trafficker in Aba, Abia State, through a nurse in Ikot-Abaji Local Government Area of the state.

Ruth, however, denied being part of the transaction, claiming that she was actually deceived by her husband into believing that their children were being cared for by a member of their extended family in Port Harcourt.

The couple are now in the custody of the Family Support Unit of the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Akwa Ibom State Police Command, where they are being interrogated.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Zubairu Muazu, confirmed that the eldest son, Ekpo has been recovered while efforts are being intensified by detectives to track down and recover the other two.

Muazu disclosed that the incident came to light when the younger brother of Ruth became curious about the sudden absence of the children of his sister. He asked the brother-in-law, Magnus, about them and got less-than-satisfactory answer from him.

"His further probe led to an altercation between them. Magnus later confessed his evil deed. Ruth’s brother was incensed by the horrific thing he heard and a fight broke out between him and Magnus. He was said to have beaten his in-law black and blue." The Sun reports.

Ruth rushed to the Mkpat Enin Police Station to file a complaint against her brother on October 23, 2017. In the course of questioning to ascertain the facts, Muazu explained that the truth was revealed and she was detained. Her husband was also arrested and the case was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Uyo, Akwa State capital, from where the matter was handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Section of the SCID on November 2, 2017.

Then November 9, Magnus led detectives to Aba, Abia State, to arrest the nurse, Stella Uchendu, 40, who arranged the illegal deal. She in turn took detectives to the home of Joy Ikechukwu, where Ekpo was recovered.

Police detectives also arrested another suspect, Eucharia Daniel, who bought the three-day-old baby for N300,000 naira from Uchendu. He said that Uchendu passed on the baby to Joy Ikechukwu, who resold the newborn child to Judith Solomon Charles, for N500,000.

Sunday Sun further learnt that on the day that police detectives brought Joy to her home, Judith was said to have slumped in shock. Detectives quickly rushed her to a hospital, where she died.
Magnus told Sunday Sun that he sold his children due to financial problem.
“My first wife and I had six children. She had mental problem and later died. Then I got married to Ruth in 2007 and we had four children. This thing happened when I had financial problem. I sold my three sons and left our daughter, Favour, who is five years old. I sold each of them for N50,000 to Stella Uchendu. Whenever my wife’s uncle and other people asked me about the children, I always told them that I took the children to people who will help them. Later I confessed to my wife’s uncle that I had sold the three children. That was when he fought with me and beat me very well before neighbours rescued me. My wife reported to the police.”
Contrary to her claims, Magnus insists that his wife knew that he was selling the children, adding that after selling the three-day-old baby, he gave her N20, 000 naira.

In her own account, Ruth, who married Magnus in 2007, denied any complicity in the sales of their children.
"My husband didn’t tell me that he sold our three sons. I gave birth to four children – three sons and a girl, Favour, who is five years old. My husband only told me that he took the three children to his uncle in Port Harcourt to train them. One day, he dialed a number and gave the phone to me to speak with his sister, who he said was taking care of my three children.
"I remember that in September, this year, after I gave birth to a baby boy in the church, on a Thursday, my husband took the baby from me on Sunday of that weekend and sold it. My husband and the nurse deceived me by saying that the baby and I tested positive to HIV and so the baby was taken away. Later my husband gave me N20,000 to eat food and recover from the pregnancy.” She stated."
On her part, the nurse, Uchendu, admitted that Magnus had informed her that he could no longer cater for his three sons and expressed interest in selling them off. She agreed to buy the three sons.
