If only we do things in moderation, I'm not sure we'll have much problem in life. Anything you put your mind and energy to do within a short time becomes part of you. This is why we have to be very careful with the things we do. Everybody is exposed to the cause of these things you listed here and even more but they control the situation and not jump into it and allow the pleasure swallow them. Once you let the urges control you, you become a slave to those urges and it uses you at will to do those things you find so much pleasure in unconsciously. You become addicted. The urges now become a curse for you but for same urge, others can deal with it. You like women/sex so much, you become a womanizer/prostitute and/or porn addict and at worst masturbate when your partner is not around you. You loves wine a lot, you become a drunkard. Everything has to be in moderation so that you don't fall into temptation. Even the food we eat, eat small so that you don't eat and become obese or spend all your monthly salary on food.
Once you let urge push you to become an addict to something, then that urge become a curse to you. No drug can help you once it become a curse, not even your self will. Self will nevertheless is a good start, it can lead you to the real solution but can never be in itself a solution. Self will can only work while you are in public or busy, once in a closet and/or alone and the urge come, it becomes a war. You can hardly win such war with your self effort and how long would you have to be fighting with your inner self? Only God can break addiction completely from you without urges pushing you to do those things again. If you have a problem with how you should go about it, let me know. You can even drop off your addictions with 2016 and walk into 2017 clean. |

optional1: Not the first not the second and not the third..
I keep slapping guys in my dreams in public cos they keep stepping on my toes. The one of last night the guy touched my bum bum in public, I thought it was a mistake I didn't say anything, he then touch me again I turned and gave him a hot dirty slap in the public. He wanted to slap me back but I over powered him and beat him up warned him never to try what he did to me to any lady again.. I woke up.
Please those anyone knows the interpretation of this dream? This may arise either from: 1. It's the characteristic of some girls to try to embarass guys who touch them without consent. Probably, you fall into this category of girls. 2. You have seen and hate so much a guy touching a girl without her consent. 3. A state of your mind as you go to bed. 4. Someone has touch you before without your consent and you are finding it hard to forgive this person. #myopinion |

Everyday we keep learning without applying the things we learn to improve our lives. Never knew Toke could become an author today as a result of a failed marriage relationship. But would she learn even from her book? Solomon Akiyesi is already making plans for a 3rd marriage but what's the guarantee that he would never try again the 4th time? We always want to try something without minding the knowledge needed to make that thing work and when it fails, we look for what to blame. We never learn. |

polyte: Yes u are right,I could have used other ATM, but all, I mean all are down..I wouldn't know if they met to treat customers like this, but my emphasis is on GTB, cause that is my bank....and honestly the treatment has not been professional or fair The point is that after the cross-ATM withdrawal charge was removed, banks care less about servicing the ATM. It's not about GTB, all banks in Nigeria don't care about ATM. I was at Idimu (Lagos) to withdraw the other Sunday, over 3-5 banks line up there but if you see the crowd of people queuing up, you wonder why. These guys don't really care about the ATM.Just forget about them and manage the way you see it. It's Nigeria for you. |

@ chuzzyblog This is misinformation. 5. Passport Photos: This is very important. Take as many as you can, about 20 in red backgrounds. You would need them at every registration point mostly. Then those of you who would likely redeploy or join one group or the other in camp, you would need more than others.
6. Photocopies Of Your Documents: Now make about 5-10 copies of every document required. There would be photocopiers in camp at mammy market but trust me, it is double the price and it saves time. You need ONLY 3 passports and maybe 4 photocopies each of your certificate/statement of result and call up letter in any NYSC camp right now. Most things has been computerized and as a result less photocopies and passports. Photocopy is 10 naira when there is light and 20 naira with generator. Passport is 300 naira for 8 copies. It can't go beyond that. Redeployment is online, you don't need passport for it but only fill a form to enable them help you process it. |

Just like that foreigner puts it, the foundation of leadership in Nigeria was hijacked by wrong leaders that is why we have not gotten it right since independence. These few politicians has been the ones sucking us dry; making laws that continually enrich them, leaving the masses to suffer and beg them for crumps. The only way you can survive is to become a millitant and blow up oil installations so that they can come and beg you to stop but how many people can actually do this? This has created billionaires in the Niger Delta. So the ones that cannot fight them would have to look elsewhere for help. Just imagine the constituency allowance that they know very well that the money doesn't go anywhere near the actual constituency to do anything but nevertheless they keep approving and giving this money to these thieves. The only thing that can save Nigeria right now is revolution but who would start or lead a revolution in Nigeria? |

Are Nigerians the smartest people to walk the earth? Why? Pat McCormack, some folk think I'm smart. Personally I'm mostly just stuck! .............................................. I don't know if Nigerians are the smartest people on earth but they sure are smart, Igbo folk in particular. To give an example; back in 1981 I was hiring staff in Warri. A young (17) Igbo fellow called Sam asked for a job. He was as short as me and very slim so not suitable for laboring work. He was totally full of beans so I hired him anyways to help me with line testing gear. Sam had had just four years of primary education. About a week in he asked me why I liked the small numbers on the test gear and did not like the big ones. So sitting there under a mangrove I explained voltage, current, Ohms law and the problem with contaminated connections. About an hour later Sam comes back with a drawing and a handful of batteries. He wanted to know whether there was a way to put the batteries in the geophones so as to push the signal through even with poor connections. I was gobsmacked. An hour after hearing of Ohm's law for the first time he'd dreamt up the concept of a pre-amplifier. I had an electronics workshop so I took Sam into it and started with the math and electronics. He lived in that lab. He went from Euclid to Leibniz in less than a month. Six weeks in he was using spectrum analysers to control inter-modulation between multiple radio transmitters. In the eleven months we worked/learnt together Sam got to about associate degree level. He set up an electronics store after. Some damn smart folk in the Delta. ..............................................

Lorna Ammann: 1 vote by Nina Yankova Hell No!!! Every corner of the globe there are smart people…. Then again it all depends on your perception of being smart. Nigerians are number one scammers and thieves. They can’t even manage the oil revenue. Nigerians that leave Nigeria seeking for refugee status uses fake identity. Every one can scam and steal. You don’t have to be smart to do that.
Steve Folsom: I got scammed by a nigerian
Ben: 8 votes Show A gift when abused they say, can become a curse. Each time i look at Nigerians, i admire their resilience, adaptability and ability to find hope even in a hopeless situation.I have never seen a people who have been so misled and abused by her leaders and yet they still chose to be hopeful. I find it shocking to see countries protest against increase in water rate, bread prices and even scarcity of toiletries when that is not even noticed here. A country that has everything she needs yet lacks everything she wants because the foundation of her leadership was hijacked by the wrong leaders. I always see her as a sleeping giant who has chosen not to wake up yet. So yes, Nigerians are really smart and that is why they can adapt wherever they find themselves especially the igbo tribe whose resilience and sudden recovery from a civil war within a short time has continued to amaze everyone. I hope that she gets it right someday and claims her place among the stars. God bless Nigerians Culled from Quora.com |

SolnergyPower: How much? I have a question please, I got this 1KVA Inverter without considering the output. I thought all Inverters can output up to 220V but I was wrong. So by the time the lnverter got to me I realized it can only output up to 120V meanwhile most of our devices here in Nigeria work from 200 volts though some stuff can still work within 110-120V. Now how can I make my Inverter output up to 220V for me? It's a Sunforce product that I got from Amazon. |
