Life oooo, I can't trade it for anything. I lost a dear person to me on Sunday who is a billionaire and it got me thinking about life. I'm so thankful for this life �

God will help you dear... I lost my elder sister that sent me to school two months after my service year.

Life has not be funny but 2021 is already a great year.

Since I finished serving in 2014... I have being searching for a well paying job but to no avail.


Then I just gave up and started applying for schools around my area.

One of the schools called me in Late 2015 and offered a teaching job (pay is 20k). Most people will not take up that job, but I did.

I thought in that school for over 4yrs... My Salary was increased to 23k in late 2017.

I wanted to leave the school and further my education in 2018 but the owners adjusted their time table to suit my class because I gain admission to study for my masters in the university that was in the same city with the school.

So, in late 2019 after my course work and exams was done. 23k was no longer enough for me, I asked the admin for an increment to at least 30k. They refused.

I just have to leave them to another school that offered to pay me 35k... But after 2 months of working with them... Covid - 19 came in March and salary was slashed to half. They paid till June this year and they stop paying. Telling us to fend for ourselves.

I survived through when Neco and WAEC students resumed. I wanted to leave the teaching line during the covid break. But God saved me with one home lesson that got me busy from July to September.

One of classmates has asked me to help find a school that pay 30k to 35k around so that I can help her to apply.

So I got this facebook advise about a school looking for the subjects she can take. I alerted her and she applied but she reside in another city.

So she couldn't met up with interview, so I decided to try my luck in the same school.

Very fortunate... They took me.

Can you imagine, they started paying me 40k... Because I have experience already.

Well why this is a testimony, is that in just less than a year that I left where they use to pay me 23k... I got another place they now pay me over 40k (table less inclusive).

Not just that, can you imagine that for over 4yrs that I have being teaching for a migger 23k, I only have just one home lesson of 10k.

But now I have a job that pays me 40k and 3 lessons that pays me minimum of 20k, 25k and 27k.

This is a testimony no one will believe. A private school teacher receiving more than a banker.

I was frustrated but now, God has lifted me above my other colleagues who refuse to leave that school.

If I look back, to 4yrs ago... I look at it like a waste... But no, what I see, is experience.

My advise to graduates searching for job is start from the area where you stay. forget the pay but just take it as a stepping stone.

Pls don't spend more than a year or two in a place that don't pay well oh.
