Nigerians spend too much on wedding ceremony, its good you are curtailing your expenses and not going by the norm of all extravagant expenses to belong where you don't fit. From my experience, your best bet will be to rent a hall in an exclusive venue where there is strict access to the venue for example a large hotel where the reception hall is far from the entrance gate (this will ensure an unwanted face will not peep and start calling for help when they see someone they know inside the venue) with security personnel manning the gates. Secondly, create invites and distribute on time, it is not a crime but will add class to your ceremony. If you plan to invite 200 people, send invites to 150 people as they will have family members coming along as well. Of course people will ask why they weren't invited and your reason will be the venue has a strict capacity policy. |

carpenter:Devaluation of a country's currency in response to the activities of black marketers is not good economics. You do not devalue your currency due to influence of black marketers, GEJ did it before (it was wrong). The solution is to exercise control over the supply and trade of those black marketers for example CBN stopped supplying BDC foreign currency but failed to create adequate channel for genuine Nigerians in need of forex to have access. The best solution is to keep the sale of foreign currency as a Nigerian government facility and provide adequate access for genuine Nigerians, when you devalue your currency you allow black markets to control the government (it should never happen). Devaluation has severe consequences for a country like Nigeria who relies on so much imports (cost of goods par example). |

Bro did u chop Aristo without protection? Ur case requires urgent attention by an expert physician and could escalate to surgery. Do not go to quacks as they will play with your balls. |
If this eventually happens then Nigeria oil revenue will decline further, good news for an average Nigerian as there will be more petroleum products in the system. Bad news for looters as their projected income will decline. Even if all business allies pull out of Nigerian oil deals, there will still be a struggle for petroleum products at exorbitant prices. The question now is despite all these factors why is it a struggle to access petroleum products. A possible cause is loop holes in the supply chain. The federal govt should read the handwriting on the wall. It's high time Nigerian govt. strengthens its domestic petroleum supply for good. Establish twice the size of NNPC depots across Nigeria, ignore oil marketers, situate some depots at boundaries between states and boost security there so they can run 24 hours. The revenues generated locally with these measures will yield near the amount generated from petroleum exports. It is high time Nigeria eliminates middle men (oil marketers) and kick them out of business. You cannot run a business effectively when it is controlled by middle men. |
95 percent Indians are dirty and stinking pieces of poo. They try to conquer everywhere they go, they have very low esteem when it come to girls. Their esteem is so low that their woman have to pay the bride price for their men. In others words Indian girls pay dowries for their men. Next time avoid confrontation with them as they are too timid and always claim they know something they dont. This also applies to their neighbours, Pakistans, Bangladesh etc. |
If you really love it buy d car register it in naija. Do not convert and drive like that. Anybody who stops you sort it out with d person. |
The solution is not devaluation of naira but restrictions should be imposed on Bureau D Change, its a scam and should be scrapped. There are over 2000 Bureau d Change outlets shrinking the Nigerian economy. CBN supply foreign currency to them and they end of controlling the forex market. Buhari get rid of middle men and reach out to Nigerians directly and Nigerian economy will bounce back. |

This is what happens in a country of poor safety standards. This chikasson should be charged to court and fined billions in compensation to families involved. RIP to the dead, get well soon to the injured. |
As much as it sounds faint hearted, you dont want ur hard earned income to perish due to weak economic policies. Yes the government is finding new ways of increasing revenues through taxes on the other hand the same government claims it cant pay minimum wages of 18k. Nigeria don't need to borrow kobo to sustain the economy, the revenues generated are embezzled through loop holes in the system. Apart from the risk I foresee in T-bills, the current inflation in naija kills tbills investment faster than a bullet for example if you had N50k naira which was $318 as of 18 months ago, today ur N50k is worth $187, thats 42% loss in which ever amount you invest with the fed govt, devaluation of naira will murder t-bills further if the fed govt dont get a grip. Borrowing money to the Fed govt. at this point is a huge risk. The govt has increased its borrowings and Nigeria is gradually falling into huge debts that we don't even know who can implement a favourable policy to wipe these debts. The economy is still very productive, the government officials are constantly feeding us with news of bankruptcy, there is an irony here as we know the economy is productive but still being told its not therefore the government has a hidden agenda. Worse case scenario, these officials upon embezzling huge funds, they will declare themselves bankrupt. The federal govt will seek international bailout, it will get it on strict conditions. Investors in T-bills will be greatly affected. |
Turkish Airline is probably the cheapest airliner. Pple should avoid taking such airline. This is the second incident I have seen with the same airline in the last three months. There are alternative routes to where ever you want to go just research to avoid had I known. |

The road to change is significantly a thousand miles away, the current administration has promised heaven and earth. The people are anxious and can't bear the cost of transformation. Corruption multiplies every time the clock ticks, the situation gets tougher day by day. More children are being born into an unpredictable society, a society where the cost of educating from childhood to adolescence is not proportional to the economic benefit. A country where you hear the words "i want change" and often wonder does he mean the change in the pocket or a strategic change. The government has led people into believing they will move mountains, disappointments and anguish is now the order of the day. A country where people have forgotten how to smile but still manage a smile, the people have tendered their own obligation by voting. The government is tasked with fulfilling its obligation, the difficulty is there are tough decisions to be made. While the current government may be soiling its hands with people of low Integrity it is notable to understand the end justifies the means. As the current government aim to build a better country, every person is tasked with taking part through utilizing the power of social media in expressing their views, whistle blowing and to demonstrate illegal practices encountered in their daily lives. Nigerians need to speak out more, express their views in civilized ways and gain extensive support of stakeholders to ensure every problem is addressed. The federal government has a long way to go, lets us all join hands and support in every little way we can irrespective of religion, ethnicity and tribe. Let us engage in constructive criticism towards this government to bring out the best in the current president. I foresee a Nigeria where electricity will remain constant 24/7 and a filling station pump attendant will beg a passerby to come and buy fuel. The big question is when will this happen and the answer is the sooner we engage in constructive criticism in our work place, encounters, individual lives, public meetings, churches, mosques. We can make impact through diplomacy, publicizing illegitimate practices and sidelining greed among ourselves. Happy Festive Season ![]() |
If you have money marriage won't be a problem for you. You can just pick a girl with a few desirable qualities and nurture the rest of the qualities into her. But if you don't have money and "34", your first name then becomes "sorry". |
