Oahray: Right! Apart from Germany, Argentina is the only side remaining that hasn't had to claw it's way through a penalty shootout. Their win against Belgium (the much hyped dark horse that was supposed to slaughter Argentina) must have been very unimpressive too.Quite the sarcasm please and read my previous posts, Netherlands did disappoint against Costa Rica by settling for a shoot out to decide the outcome of that match. Still, Argentina is nowhere near Netherland's level. That they did not settle for a penalty does not mean this is what is expected from the Argentinian team. |
purplekayc: whats wrong with argentina? They've been more like an average team right from the start. Their football has not been impressive. |
Lordave: So Germany, Brazil and Argentina don't deserve to win it?Brazil, yes. Germany, yes. Argentina, NO. |
tuffgongjo: Bernart has joined Bayern munich from Valencia. Thanks bro, please keep it coming |

PAGAN9JA: [size=18pt]OP YOU ARE A BIG FOOL !True, Nigeria WAS a Pagan Nation, long before now, that is. The stone age called for the use of stones in making objects and hunting tools. Evolution has come into play and the stone age evolved overtime into what we have as the modern/jet age. Imagine a fellow advocating for the stone age because we once used their means; does it still imply that we are in that era. Nothing is wrong that Aregbe marked Isese day; as a matter of fact, a decent and upright individual MUST recognize, acknowledge and respect other people's religions, as well as their views. Once upon a time, we worshipped woods and stones that we could not associate with; it has however evolved overtime and the craze of alluding worship to spoons and plates are irrelevant in this modern times. Moreso, the gods you claim all feasted on human blood in ancient times the moment clueless herbalists diagnose ignoramuses for 'unknown' ailments known in this modern time as 'malaria'. Nothing prevents Aregbe from recognizing tradition and proclaiming its holidays... You are NOT a Pagan because you belong to the Traditional class... NB: Stop claiming you are a PAGAN. According to Encarta, a Pagan is an OFFENSIVE term that deliberately INSULTS somebody's NON-BELIEF in RELIGION, WAY OF LIFE, OR DEGREE OF KNOWLEDGE. |
Out of my 4 years stay in Ife, all thanks to my sojourn at the Obafemi Awolowo University, I witnessed, for 3 years, how Omisore used touts to maim and destroy in Ife. Moreso, how he empowered them with guns. Some thugs went as far as planting the guns in sacks of rice in my compound. He bought bikes for some of his thugs and cars for the A-ranked ones. Aregbe did make life more meaningful for people in Osun compared to Oyinlola, who only gave students 'eruku Oshodi' Oyin choco powder. I am not saying Aregbe is a saint but if there is anyone who is to oust Aregbe, it's certainly not the killer goon called Omisore. OP, don't come here acting like the person you're dying for has a 50% clean record. Omisore will not and never will be the answer to Osun's politics. I wasn't told these things; I witnessed them. I'm neither inclined to the APC nor to the PDP nor any other political party. They are all the same. Enough said. |

But they will have to put up with his huge collection of Superman memorabilia - built up over decades worth of obsession. In June 2013 Guinness recognised Mr Chavez for having the largest collection of Superman memorabilia with 1,253 items - ranging from life-size dolls, to posters and rings worth thousands of pounds. But he says his collection is actually closer to 5,000 items and plans to increase it to around 10,000 pieces - and has even moved home in order to accommodate the influx of comic book clutter. Now famous across his native country thanks to numerous TV appearances, Mr Chavez's friends and family are supportive of his unusual hobby. Him mum Linda said: 'I remember when he was a kid, he was already fond of Superman figures. He would be very happy when I bought him shirts with Superman pictures on them. 'At school they held drawing competitions, and he would always draw Superman pictures. 'As parents we are happy because though he is small, he has become the Filipino Superman. He has become well known in our community - he has become people's idol.' https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/09/08/article-2415416-1BB186DE000005DC-822_634x648.jpg |
Addiction on a whole new level When Clark Kent wanted to transform into Superman, it was a fairly simple task. He would step into a phone box, spin around and the switch would be complete. But Herbert Chavez's change into the comic book hero has taken a bit longer - through 16 years of plastic surgery. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/09/08/article-0-1BB1884A000005DC-607_634x998.jpg Is it a bird? Herbert Chavez in his full Superman regalia, showing off years of gruelling plastic surgery https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/09/08/article-0-1BB18672000005DC-33_634x469.jpg Change: Herbert Chavez underwent 19 surgeries over 16 years to look like Clark Kent. Here is how he changed between 1995 and 2012 The 35-year-old, from Calamba City, Philippines, has had nose jobs, skin whitening, lip liposuction, jaw realignment, pec implants and even abdominal implants to become a real-life Clarke Kent after falling in love with the TV programme aged five. He has splashed around 300,000 Pesos (£4,400) on his obsession - a fortune compared to the average 90p hourly wage in the Philippines. Mr Chavez regularly takes to the streets around his home dressed in full Superman regalia, with his hair gelled in distinctive curly fashion. He aims to teach kids good morals while also brightening their days. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/09/08/article-0-1BB18879000005DC-190_306x423.jpghttps://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/09/08/article-0-1BB1885A000005DC-257_306x423.jpg https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/09/08/article-0-1BB1888E000005DC-212_634x423.jpg Hero: Herbert Chavez, 35, strikes a pose which would make his idol, Clark Kent, proud He said: 'I feel like a Superhero whenever I pull on the costume, but my mission is not to save the world but to help in my own small way and bring a smile to the faces of local children. 'I don't have any regrets at all. People come up to me in the street all the time and want their picture taken with me. 'They are all really excited to see a real-life Superman in the Philippines.' https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/09/08/article-0-1BB1871A000005DC-377_634x500.jpg New identity: A before and after shot comparing what Mr Chavez looked like before the operations compared to his transformation after 19 procedures https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/09/08/article-0-1BB18842000005DC-86_634x664.jpg Good morals: Mr Chavez striking a pose in front of school children who he hopes look up to him as their very own hero https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/09/08/article-0-1BB18716000005DC-48_634x648.jpg Avid fan: In June 2013 Guinness recognised Herbert for having the largest collection of Superman memorabilia with 1,253 items But his distinctive look has not come easily, with Herbert going under the knife repeatedly to copy every last feature of the super hero he worships - right down to his chiselled chin. And Mr Chavez admits it is tasking trying to keep up with such a 'perfect' person. He added: 'If you talk about super heroes, the expectation of people is that they are flawless, they do not get hurt, they do not die. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/09/08/article-0-1BB18887000005DC-805_634x454.jpg Powerful pose: Mr Chavez stands in front of a collage of Superman artwork with rays of light beaming from behind him 'But as human beings, we can only copy their looks. Especially as a Filipino, I have very Asian features and did not look like the caucasian Superman. 'So when I was able to save enough money to alter my features, I chose to copy those of Superman. 'It is hard living up to people's expectations as a living superhero. That is the reason I have had so many surgeries because I undergo maintenance procedures that need performing. 'For example, my cleft chin is formed of hydrogel, but it does not always appear balanced. The more dehydrated you get the smaller it gets, so you have to keep adding to it. 'I am such a good customer of my surgeon, Tito Garcia, he does all the work for free as part of a part-exchange deal. 'I help publicise his practice in return.' Herbert now plans to keep improving his look with more operations to make him taller and surgery to beef up his abdomen and bum. But he acknowledges that there may be a day when he has to halt the extensive surgeries. Mr Chavez said: 'I totally don't have any regrets. What is there for me to regret? Everything that has happened in my life has been positive and because of Superman. 'When my body says it can not endure it anymore or when my doctor says that my body can not handle it because of age, then I will stop.' Single Mr Chavez creates his own Superman costumes, T-shirts and clothing from scratch at his dress making shop. And the 35-year-old, who has featured on Billboards in his native country, says he hopes to one day meet a partner who can share his love of Superman. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/09/08/article-0-1A400F4F000005DC-37_306x624.jpghttps://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/09/08/article-0-1BB18852000005DC-238_306x624.jpg Look-a-likes: Herbert Chavez (right) has spent almost 20 years trying to look like Clark Kent, who was played by British actor Henry Cavill (left) in the latest version of the film Source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2415416/Herbert-Chavez-Superman-fan-19-surgeries-30-years-look-like-comic-book-hero.html |

https://media.bestofmicro.com/4/E/414878/original/Cortana-2.jpg Microsoft Cortana is an intelligent personal assistant on the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system available on an opt-in basis. Its name comes from Cortana, the artificial intelligence character in the Halo series, with Jen Taylor, the character's voice actress, returning to voice the personal assistant. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/b/bd/Microsoft_Cortana.svg/225px-Microsoft_Cortana.svg.png Microsoft Cortana Cortana was demonstrated for the first time by Microsoft corporate vice president Joe Belfiore at the Microsoft BUILD Developer Conference (April 2-4, 2014) in San Francisco. It has been launched as a key ingredient of Microsoft's planned "makeover" of the future operating systems for Windows Phone, Windows, as well as Xbox One. It is currently available to all users of Windows Phone 8.1 in the United States as a beta, and will eventually roll out to all WP8.1 users worldwide in late 2014 and early 2015. Features Cortana's features include being able to set reminders, recognize natural voice without the user having to input a predefined series of commands, and answer questions using information from Bing (like current weather and traffic conditions, sports scores, and biographies). Windows 8.1's universal Bing SmartSearch features are incorporated into Cortana, which replaces the previous Bing Search app which is activated when a user presses the "Search" button on their device. https://rack.2.mshcdn.com/media/ZgkyMDE0LzA3LzAyL2EyL2NvcnRhbmF3Yy5hNjEyZi5qcGcKcAl0aHVtYgkxMjAweDk2MDA-/6ce0e3ad/a86/cortana-wc.jpghttps://rack.2.mshcdn.com/media/ZgkyMDE0LzA3LzAyL2EyL2NvcnRhbmF3Yy5hNjEyZi5qcGcKcAl0aHVtYgkxMjAweDk2MDA-/6ce0e3ad/a86/cortana-wc.jpg Cortana, Microsoft's digital assistant, has successfully predicted the outcome of every match of this year's World Cup elimination round. This means Cortana is on track to correctly predict more World Cup wins than Paul the Octopus. The supposedly psychic sea creature, who died in 2010, became a worldwide sensation when he predicted the winning team in eight of the 2010 tournament's matches — including the final. Paul the Octopus correctly predicted the outcomes of seven World Cup matches his home country of Germany played during the 2010 World Cup, as well as Spain's victory over the Netherlands in the final match. Sadly, Paul died soon after the 2010 tournament concluded. Cortana will ship with Microsoft's upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 update, slated for later this month. Until then, you can keep tabs on Cortana's predictions over at Bing. Cortana is indeed the future of technology. She gives weather information, helps Windows users plan their schedules and so on. https://blogs.windows.com/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-blogs-components-weblogfiles/00-00-00-53-71-metablogapi/Cortana_5F00_Home_5F00_16x9_5F00_7E8C8AC9.pnghttps://cdn1.vox-cdn.com/assets/4222541/cortana-windows-phone-theverge-2_560.jpg Sources: http://mashable.com/2014/07/02/cortana-world-cup/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Cortana |

dustydee: @OP,The OP was never interested in putting up an argument, rather he planned on insulting them for no just cause. I stayed in Osun for four straight years, in Ife, to be precise and I noticed loopholes. He so did wrong by lashing out at them. I'm a fan of constructive arguments and it was obvious the I am_FK wanted such, but the OP did not make himself available. One of the negative effects of the internet and social media; it takes away one's sense of good reasoning and judgement. |
thisisayus: I don't belong to any political party, non of them is worth it! That's y I feel sorry for e-warriors most times. So why should I sing any politician praises?Interesting!
