I totally disagree. Marriage or on a boyfriend/girlfriend level, I believe it must come by mutual agreement. In other words, both persons must define the kind of relationship they want. If the relationship goes on without this, then it could come to end abruptly someday. The use of 'optional' implies 'if we feel like' or 'bonus' which I am not cool with. If you say optional, then what happens when one of them eventually wants it? Most people make this mistake in their relationship and it is somewhat disturbing because I consider it as important. Sex is not compulsory, neither is it optional. It could be compulsory for a guy/girl who feels he/she must 'do' it with his/her girlfriend/boyfriend and optional for partners who believe they can cope without it. The whole thing rests on definition.

OP, I'll suggest you hold on. Don't fall for the pressure. According to you, you're are barely months together; it could be infatuation. And even if it isn't, there is still enough time for you. Sorry if this seem insultive, you're both quite young. Meeting your parents now does not mean you'd be getting married this year or the next. Girls, around her age, sometimes are blown into a frenzied state; particularly when they are just getting involved with issues that concern the heart. Trust me, it will pass with her. Don't succumb to the pressure.

I love Ronaldo, but that does not mean that he must win the World Cup this time, particularly with a team as Portugal. I love the Nigerian team, particularly Osaze Odemwingie, but that still does not mean that Nigeria is fit and ready to win a World Cup with a team filled with errors and sentiments. Trust me, I don't hate the Argentines; I believe it will only be insultive to the name and honour and the prestige of the World Cup if an average team end up lifting it. If any team lifts it at the end, let it be one that would be able to defend it come next World Cup. Imagine Nigeria winning the World Cup wit our current squad. It is indeed insultive.
