PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Ministerial List Will Be Released Soon – Garba Shehu by sanniabiola(m): 12:49pm On Jun 02, 2015
aguiyi:
stupid trash .

the cabinet is yet to be formed but his senior special assistant is already using a past tense for it, talk about ineptitude.

is this how the presidency will be embarrassed in the 4 fours of its tenure.
Buhari won election 2 months ago yet he doesn't know who and who he wants to appoint into what position.

is this a sign of man who is prepared for the job, a man who was once on the job, a man who has been around and claim to know the problem and solutions to it.

what is the difference between Buhari and a student who refuse to read until exam time table is released huh huh huh huh.

i hope the prof is not just there as a puppet cos his name will never remain the same if he doesn't prove he is worth the title .
Your comment make 100% sense. Imagine using past tense "took" instead of a present continuous tense "takes". Also, I wonder why wait till now to start making important appointments, Chief of staff, Secretary to the government of the federation who actually should have been reviewing the hand over notes with the permanent secretaries. Well, as much as I wish he success, I still hope he won't make more blunders considering his already made blunders since his swearing in. Moving military command centre to Maiduguri, Appointment of two media aid while he's expected to cut the cost of government.

You need to be around when Aregbesola lands at Ibadan Airport, you will think it's one Kings that is around. The least he will drop for the airport staff is 300k and when driving out of the airport, he will spray the thugs that are already waiting for him nothing less than 100k. He does this everyday of the week since he travel almost everyday in and out. At a point airport staff nearly reject the money to attack him to pay his workers instead but some Oga restrained that action. I wonder why he's not under impeachment threat.

TravelMy Take On Top 10 Safest City / Capital In Nigeria by sanniabiola(op): 7:33pm On May 27, 2015
After I had read the Top 10 city posted from some website that made the front page, I decided to share my thought on the top 10 City in Nigeria based on my personal exploit of these Cities / Capitals so to say with focus on my past 2 years exploits. My business had taken me to almost every State of Nigeria and my conclusion is be sourced to my exploit.
1. ABAKALIKI: it is not big enough to call it a city though but it is fortunately the Capital of Ebonyi State. This state is so safe that you will be bored out of live while on visit. Ever wonder why the state Governor don't even pass the Night in his own state, he ensure He arrive Enugu before 10pm according to what I heard. Infact, I trekked from Pastoral Hostel to WDC as early as 9.30pm one of the night because Okada and keke that had closed their services at 7pm and 9pm respectively and Police have mount every junction of the road. That City is incredibly safest (lower crime activities) among all with no disturbing noise even during the day.
2. Akure: this town made my list because of its people mainly, they are summarily calm and loving. Akure is the Capital of Ondo state and you can't miss your way around town, the people are always ready to help. You can enter Akure town any time of the night and be sure to get a bike to drop you at an hotel. Inasmuch as the atmosphere is still the same as I experienced some months back, the serene environment make it attractive by a township standard and the fact that it's a mainly civil servant City makes the crime rate relatively lower. Although, no much fun in the town except the water fountain at Alagbaka area if it is still functioning, imagine the crowd around that area when they just commission the fountain.
3. Uyo: this City is a city of love as it has attracted many Tourist within the past 12 month, you will enjoy much love in this City if you are open minded. There a relative peace in the town as everyone goes about their business. You can always find another branch of your Bank at the next road so no need to stay in a queue. They also would buy your goods at your price as those people have joy in the spirit. There's some fun centres in the City now and you can always find your bearing from Plaza area to anywhere around the town. Try to spend a sunday in that town and you will feel the cool breeze. You hardly hear of crime in the city and you will love to snap a picture by one of those light and fountain at night. Uyo is very cool to visit.
4. Awka: is a relatively calm City too by my exploit, it is home to main players at the Onitsha International market Biz goons. It is more of a Residential Township by my assessment. Throughout my periods of visiting this city, it has always been cool. Spend night time in that city a couple of week ago and you will find it's attractive night view of the roads pleasing to behold. Never had bad stories about the town and I can conclude it's a safer city to live and visit.
5. Enugu: it is a safe City considering it's description as the South Eastern capital. Lovely estates and havens as well as good road network. Low crime rate inasmuch as you cut a limit to your night activities. Plenty of Clubs and clubbers as well and Keke are readily available to pick u during the day. You can as well book a Taxi cab for your night activities and you can get around town even at wee hours, just ensure you have an ID because police patrol can stop you in late hours. For a city of its description, it's safer.
6. Ibadan: I can assuredly tell you that Ibadan is safe enough to make top 10. If you must move around in the night time at ibadan, use Okada and make sure it's only you on the bike with the rider. The popular Iwo road is safer now than 3 years ago and you can get to main parts of the city even in the midnight if you know your way around. Plenty of night clubs and 24hours cinema house has made this city a hub of visit recently. If you don't want to be harass by robbers at night in your home, I think you may consider Ibadan city, the main part of the city.
7. Sokoto: this City definitely made my list because the city is relatively peaceful, I have had one visit to the city by road and I can confirm its a safe city, I attend a sunday service and the church was filled to the overflow to my surprise. Irrespective of the restiveness in the North, this city stands out to be a safe city among many city of the north Nigeria. Everyone goes about their business and if you can just say baa Hausa or akoi turanchi, you will find someone to show you round the town. I saw some foreign Nationals that are said to be living in the seat of the caliphate Capital. Little or Low crime story is heard around the city. Southerners abode in every part of sokoto and you will see roundabout at all intersection like kilode. Sokoto gets into my Top 10.
8. Abuja: when I say Abuja, I mean the main town. It's a peaceful city with police at every junction post. Always board a green paint Cab or any other company customized cab when you are within the town. Abuja people though minds their business but they are not harmful in any way. There's a lot of garden and park and you can get around at any time of the night inasmuch as you know where you are going to. It's relatively safe as classified.
9. Calabar: I am not sure if I had place Calabar rightly in this order but by my experience it's a safe city. I have been to this city over and over again and I can say it's fun, the people are hospitable, you can move around the town at any time of the night and day. There are many fun centres to visit and the hotel are readily available. It was once depicted as the cleanest city in Nigeria and I use to refer to it as the liveliest city to visit in Nigeria. The clubs are hot and the security is tight. So Calabar make my list of safe city because if it's not safe, it's not fun you know.
10. Ilorin: this City is a safe city to live and visit as well, in my experiences visiting this city, I have never had a regret. You can move around within the main town even at night hours and you will find okada to pick you to your destinations always. There's little fun in the city as well and the police are always at your tail in the night hours. As much as you know where you are going to in Ilorin, you have no problem at any time of the day. Many long distance travellers passing through Ilorin love to spend the night in the city to continue their journey in the daytime. It a safe haven as well.
Please be aware that I consider safe based on the situation on both night and day activities. I also consider the safety of fun lover at wee hours and safer movement at night times. I may have ignore some city because of stories of missing persons which may have raised tourist consciousness about some cities and the activities of hoodlums, Cultists and Robbers which may have characterize why I excuse some cities.
I also like to submit that some cities/towns which are a not state capital are safer than some of the cities listed by my experience but I only focus my article on the State Capital. Among them are Bonny Island, Gboko, Agbor, Oyo, Ilesha, Shagamu, Ondo, Bida, Obudu, Eket, Orlu, Doma, among so many I have visited. Please add your own too.

PassingShot:
Deceitful PDP!

What did Osinbajo say that is wrong? Is Nigeria not indebted to the tune of $60 billions as a result of economic mismanagement?

Your defence that the states are equally owing does not exonerate FG from poor management of the economy since it's the same FG that approved all those borrowings (foreign).

And what did the FG do with its own share of the loan?

What did FG do with its huge share of the earnings from crude sale of above $100 per barrel?

How could the FG have been able to caution and shape reckless behaviour of state governments when itself is incapable of judicious management of resources?

PDP led federal government has been a CURSE to Nigeria.

Thank God we kicked them out.

I have been running my viewing centre for two years now and it has prove to be profitable. Full Dstv subscription, flat screen TVS and Standby generator in a big facility capable of sitting 400 viewers at once. My average revenue monthly is 70000naira and my expenditure averages around 25000 - 30000 naira. Since my dream to furthering my studies abroad is already real, I am keenly looking out to someone I could trust enough to manage these facility located at Federal College of Education (Special) Oyo environment. Infact, if I see a capable hand who can buy it and as well run it according to standard, it would be a good one. Let's trend on this topic and do serious business. PoliticsRe: If You’re The President Of Nigeria, How Will You Tackle Corruption? by sanniabiola(m): 3:58pm On May 09, 2015
There's nothing like tackling corruption, instead of tackling corruption, why not handle attitudinal greed in the society. It's as simple as stop financing state owned Agency that generate revenue, privatize state owned companies, institute a price regulatory body comprising of professionals from government institutions. Recognize patriotism and statesmanship than Titles and affluence. Impose adequate taxing system on wealthy individuals and confiscate everything owned by anyone allegedly involve in any corrupt practices and deny his relatives state opportunity such as free education and health, also ensure such person profile is disregarded internationally and place trade ban on any nation that deals with such individual. I can go on and on because it's not the politicians that are corrupt, it's those managing the system mostly. To cap it all, there should be an unwritten law to combat corruption cases such that council of jury mainly from among the citizens decide the fate of anyone indicted. Within a decade, Nigerians will take pride in contentment and those that would seek political offices would leverage on there clean social status.

It's simple, next time he come up with the act for sex, download a dirty slap on him and shout on him to get out or you report him. If you don't make such move on time, he will turn to blackmail you. Tell him to go and date a gal outside the family. But If you are a muslim, I think it is allowed. It happen in the Northern Nigeria, cousins marries themselves.

My only worry is why must a middle class parent send their kid to a private University when they cannot employ their child after graduation. It's unreasonable for you to attend Private University on loan, if your parent cannot assure you of a job as soon as you graduate in any good company, then the parent should rather use such loan to set up a company or business while you attend Public University and you get employed in your parent company when you finally graduate from public university. I have seen many graduate from private university wondering streets in search of job. It's painfully a waste of resources by the parents of such Kids

PoliticsRe: How I Was Almost Mobbed Today In Ado Ekiti by sanniabiola(m): 6:11pm On Apr 07, 2015
ogalawyer:
I'm still in shock over what happened to me today.
I'm a youth corper serving in Ado Ekiti. On my way to the office Ado Ekiti this morning, I observed that the Fajuyi park area of the town was blocked by security operatives and motorcycles were not being allowed to ride through. I was puzzled as to what was going on, as I just got back to the state from my hometown d night before. Anyway I proceeded to my office. About two hours later, I heard some singing and noise from outside. As l was kind of bored, I decided to go and observe. On getting to the outside of my office complex, I saw a large crowd of people singing and walking on the main road. I realised they were protesting. But since there were no sign of violence, I presumed, albeit wrongly, that it was a peaceful protest. Therefore, and in order to test the picture quality of the phone I just bought, I decided to take pictures. That was a very grave mistake, I now realise. Immediately, a man saw me taking the pictures, he descended on me. The crowd followed suit and before I could mention Jesus, I started receiving blows and slaps from everywhere. The shirt and inner shirt I was wearing was torn out of my body. After the security men managed to restrain d crowd, I was told to delete d pictures, which I did. The crowd was not still satisfied and insisted that I give my phone to them, so they could smash it. I refused. Another round of beating then commenced, this time more viciously. I was pushed to the ground and they were all raining blows and slaps on my body. I managed to extricate myself from the melee and ran for my dear life. Some tried chasing me, but I was quicker. I then went to hide in a part of d complex. After about 5 minutes, a vicious looking guy came to meet me where I was hiding and said I should give him my phone, else he finishes me off there and then. He said he has been instructed by the powers that be to either smash my phone or finish me off. Or in the alternative, he will take me to d crowd waiting fr me outside so they can deal with me in their own way. I started begging him and told him I was just a youth corper and I was neither a politician or from Ado Ekiti. After showing him my NYSC I.d. card and giving him the last 500 naira in my wallet, which he requested for, as bribe, he let me go and instructed me to go and hide as best as I could. I was later transported outside the premises by a good Samaritan, before I found my way home.
Though I'm an ardent follower of political happenings in the country, I have never been a fanatic, and I never expected this type of behaviour from rational human beings. Mehn, these guys where filled with anger, and they could kill without hesitation. Politics should not be a do or die affair. It is high time we jettison this culture of barbarism and embrace peace and dialogue. Anyway, I'm thankful to God, that it didn't get worse than it did. Though I'm feeling pains all over my body, I'll survive and at least I still have my phone.
you for ask me first before you try to take pictures. Mine was after the June 20 election precisely on 21st of June last year. I saw such a peaceful rally of my favorite political party so I excitedly want to snap them from where I was standing and watching only for these two guy that I will defeat individually in a fight walk to me and ask to see my phone, I said why?, while asking one guy why the other deliver these leather coated slap on my left cheek, as I was preparing to protest the slap the other one struck too, my head grow big immediately and all I could hear was whistling from the cloud. My colleague from inside start screaming "run inside, he's a corper o" my brother, even the video delete automatically and one person remind me that didn't I know that am standing in front of an opposition house. That double slap still hurt my brain till date and I have not even forget the size of the first palm the braced my face. Don't play with your phone in Ekiti street when they gather o. They don't understand much civility there. But I love their ways sha, Hard luck men, I have been there too.
