Of course this was corruption driven price stability that was destined to burst if oil price had crashed as it is now to under 30 dollars. If that had happened under the same corrupt price regime, i maintain that Dollar would ve risen to 450 at the official rate and 550 in the parrarel market, because Gej would ve accepted to devalue due to Govt inability to supply dollars to the official market due to revenue leakages.
Our saving grace now, with the oil crash is Pmb because he was able to block revenue leakages from the little we earn and with it the CBN funds the official rate, That dollar today is 300+ in the parallel market today, is due to scarcity of dollars occasioned by prudent monitoring of revenue. This is the reason for the high price of dollars in the black market. Our economy under Gej was graft driven, it was only a matter of time before the bubble burst. With Pmb atleast the country is fighting off this pressure. Pmb needs our support that is all i can say.

The price of the dollar now, has always been the real value of the dollar for more than 3yrs now, the price before now was sustained by corruption. what had sustained the price at close to 200 before now was our leaking CBN vault under PDP. The leakage under a corrupt PDP ensured that there was enough supply of dollars in the(parallel) or black market, the corrupt dollars flowing in then from NNPC, CBN, NIMASSA etc ooh $2.1b armsgate dollars all found their way to the hands of mallams , with these type of corruption, dollar was sustained around 200 in the black market because of illicit supply from those who opened our vaults and shared our money out to friend and relations. The difference now under PMB, is that by blocking leakages the supply to mallams have drastically reduced yet demand remains static, hence the pressure is pushing up the price towards equilibrium. The baned items by CBN is just to ease the pressure as we pursue diversification in the long and shout run. Under the PDP model of corruption supplying to the parallel market instead of incomes from production, we were only postponing the evil day, but under this deliberate and sustained effort, expect a genuine rebound in the near future, it will not go back easily to 200 in the parallel market. Investment and diversification is the only true way to go. The road to true nation building is deliberate, it takes a strong leader that will go against the status quo, it will not be perfect, as mistakes will be made but if PMB can help us sustain for 8yrs at least, people will start coming to Nigeria for school and medical tourism also. In the same budget provision was made for debt servicing of previous debts before the take off of the current government. Government and public finance is not something you discuss loosely on social media. Let's listen to what all the certified financial experts, chartered and management accountants have to say in the coming days. Now, the argument that the vote margin of 41000 is more than 25000 or so pvc in the cancelled polling units, hence Falake should ve been declared winner though sweet to the ear, cannot be the right and legal thing to do.
Our electoral Act does not recognise PVC or the number of voters with PVC, what it does recognise is THE NUMBER OF REGISTERED VOTERS in the cancelled polling units, which in this instance is 49000, more than the 41000 vote margin. Falake i believe is aware of this legal limitations, hence should know better.
I don't like Bello, i don't know him, i don't like the idea he will reap from where he did not sow viz the accusation he played anti party. But one thing is sure in both the Bible and Quoran, it is GOD that gives power, he may ve decided to favour Bello by ticking for him the whole legal reasons, Falake won't win this case in court, in the court of public opinion and sentiment yes! PMB is right to refuse devaluation, our economy is not primed to enjoy the benefits of devaluation like the countries you mentioned above, ours is an import dependent economy. The primary aim of devaluation is to reduce the value of our currency in relation to other currencies, thereby reducing the value in price terms of goods and services produced in Nigeria in relation to i,e the dollar. Lets get the analogy right (pls i am not trying to prove i know), i,e if 1 dollar exchanges for 100 naira and a bottle of coke is 100 nairain Nigeria, if Nig decides to devalue say 200 naira to 1 dollar, it means that for the international investor his 1 dollar can now get him 2 bottles of coke in Nigeria and for the citizens like you and i, the implication will be higher inflation or prices in the short run to buy a bottle, Cocacola been a company that buys raw materials from abroad in dollars, in sourcing for funds from CBN will buy dollars at 200 naira to 1 dollar from CBN, something it buys at 100 naira before devaluation. To meet up the cash demand, CocaCola ltd since it must buy raw materials from abroad, will increase the price of her coke to cushion the effect, the people suffer as prices will keep pushing up (inflation), the upward demand for dollars will always be there as long as our companies cannot source raw materials at home.
The countries you mentioned produce most of there industrial raw materials locally hence they can enjoy the benefit of devaluation unlike us. PMB is only trying to protect the people hence his refusal to devalue, with dwindling oil price the major source of dollars, Boko haram, oil theft, kidnapping the country won't even enjoy the initial benefits of devaluation and it will crumble his Govt, PDP will turn round to laugh at Pmb. Take it from me, the best for now is what Pmb is doing, restrict foreign exchange and fight to maintain the currency until our foreign exchange earnings improve. Don't get me wrong, devaluation is good if only we are self sufficient in most of our raw material needs. Till date the U.S.A. Fights with China any time China devalues her currency, why? It will become cheaper to buy cars from China than in the U.S. I am stir trying to phantom out how devaluation affects liquidity according to you, because what i know that affects liquidity is Govt expenditure, salaries, payment of contractors or capital vote. Devaluation will not increase liquidity in the system as the current cash crunch has to do with non release of Capital vote since 2nd quarter of 2014 and the strict implementation of TSA that took all Govt ideal cash from the banks. The situation is precarious i accept, but Pmb did not cause it.

It is achievable, i know you will only register using your BVN, with BVN no double registration, Also with BVN the Govt can eliminate those working in the Federal Civil Service, State and Organised private sector by drawing from their payroll data, using CBN and the banks.
Remember with BVN you can't maintain bank accounts with different names as was done before now, also recall that not even upto 40m bank accounts ve BVN. if they do this with the school feeding programme then APC will rule for 100 yrs. (2) The procedure for the nomination of candidates by political parties for the various elective positions shall be by direct or indirect primaries.”
Alhaji Bello gains the advantage of this section has he participated in the primaries as well as screening stages conducted by the parties, the Deputy governorship candidate could have had the seat comfortably and staked a better claim if he had contested the primaries but its quite disheartening to find out that he didn’t S87(9) disqualifies him effectively
Where a political party fails to comply with the provisions of this Act in the conduct of its primaries, its candidate for election shall not be included in the election for the particular position in issue.
