One last question please,

santity100: after the payment of half tuition fee, do I still have to present bank statement at the embassy?

It depends on the university that you select.

If you are studying at a university on AL1 status, so you won't require sponsor document for visa.

But these universities are more expensive and they might require sponsor documents like bank statement before they give you the document (COE) you need to apply for visa

Search google to get the schools "Australia university AL1 status"

Ok thanks so much. That looks fine by me. Meanwhile I have a long way to go. I haven't any school in mind, and haven't written English test either.

You can start searching for the universities that is within your budget.

Some might waive English but it is better you write PTE immediately in order to make admission easier and faster.

Thank you.

Is part payment allowed? Or must everything paid in full? Or is there an alternative program that I can use as a stepping stone?

Half of the tuition is normally required after acceptance but before visa applications.

Good morning guys. I have been denied canadian study visa twice and i just offer of admission from Flinders uni.. can i leave out that i have been denied for canada or include in my genuine student declaration form..

They can't know that you have been refused if you don't tell them. I know people will contest this but I have many experiences on visa applications. There are loads of people deported from London that got USA visas etc.

As you have been denied by another country, it will surely limit your chances.you can include it and put all the evidences from canada embassy. Meanwhile your application will be thoroughly scrutinised so I will advise you provide them all your supporting documents a very good sop.

It depends on the case officer, he or she might be impressed that you opened up or he or she might increase scepticism towards to your application.

Pray.

Please gurus in the house

A friend of mine wants to study in Oz (PhD) , she has a first class in both her first (Bsc) and second degree (msc) , but the problem is the tuition. Please how can she get a full scholarship for PhD social works or PhD communication

Full scholarships is always tough for new students but after first semester, there are lots of scholarships options depending on the student academic performance.

As she has an excellent academic background, she can try her luck by checking the universities directly but best most students get is partial scholarships.

As this is PHD level, there are more scholarships available depending on your area of research.

Maybe the student can check Australia awards website too for more options.

$8-10k (AUD) is perfect for me
I can still do $5k tuition deposit

Bros, I go appreciate gan if you can come to my rescue. Thank u

RMIT's deposit that is required is around 8k aud. But the total tuition is around 30k aud per year.

Well if you can be accepted and pay the 8k aud but the issue is how to pay the balance because it will be bumber to bumber when you reach oz and they might cancel your visa and deport you if you delay too much.

But I believe you should still get one of this TAFEs if you can choose a course that is closely related to your present educational background and experience.

My wife has an OND in Midwifery and I plan she moves to Australia to study related discipline- NURSING (B.Sc) and also stay and work over there in Australia While I and the kids (3) would join her much later., is it possible?

Workable.

With her background, it will make it easier for admission and visa.

On completion of her studies, she can apply for PR.

*My age already gave me 30 points

*Qualification (theatre arts) will probably find a course closely related to it in SOL or Csol - 10 points

*Nomination by an by state or territory government or by an eligible family member (in this case my uncles Australian wife) dont know if it counts ... (or maybe they'd get a company to invite me) - 10 points

*Possible 10 marks from ilts

what do you think pls??

Find the occupation related and check the requirements of the assessing authority.

Most qualifications from Nigeria are classified as associate degree, if a bachelor's degree is required in your selected occupation, it might be a bottleneck of your ba theatre art is classified as associate degree during assessment.

You can go through this forum, assessing authority and border.gov website for comprehensive information.

Good day Santity, thanks for the updates so far. I am interested in the trades section, especially autos. Does it require me to go to a tafe skl? Can I run it on d side while looking for jobs to earn a living? What r d prospects? Enquired from a friend residing in Australia who advised me to study medicine or nursing, cos it pays well. Ur take? I have a PR already

Good day.

As in autos, do you mean mechanical or related ?

Surely Nursing and Medicine offer lots of pay with other benefits.

Both options of trades Job and health are very good but it now depends on your passion again. I advise people to go for what gives them joy and money.

I am applying for a PhD in a non AL1 university (Murdoch) and I really hope to come over with my family. I am making good progress with the application. My wife however is about getting a masters in Environmental biology and public health.

My question is, can we apply for PR for her while we are already in Australia? I am asking as it seems the environmental science guys are on the SOL & CSOL.

Thanks guys

Yes of course. You can commence with your PR stuffs while you guys are there.

In fact I know some people that got PR even before they completed their studies.

Go for it immediately.

I was thinking her having strong ties with australia she might be able to pull off something. What do you think?

They can sponsor you with their company details in Australia or New Zealand.

But firstly you need to select an occupation that is related to your education and experience and gotten a positive skill assessment.

That's your best shot.

Apply to a uni that offer certificate III with pathway to degree i.e certificate III in carpentry to bachelor in construction. You get two ecoe from your school and immigration will assess you under level 1.

In addition, be ready to write a very good sop to scale GTE (genuine temporary entrant) as the school will also require this before you are accepted.

Previously it could have been easier for you as the schools will readily give you admission and it is now to go face the embassy for visa but now even schools are checking to confirm your intentions before they accept you.

I always advise students check the sponsors documents you will need critically before you step into the water.

VERY GOOD FOR YOU

2) He hasn't maintained the 5million in 3months and it shows an appreciable inflow and outflow..The dom account is intact, no inflow/outflow...He intends to pay tuition from the dom account..

TO INCREASE YOUR CHANCES IT IS ALWAYS BETTER THE BALANCE IN THAT ACCOUNT IS NOT TOO LOW AT ANY POINT IN TIME

3) He's employed.

VERY GOOD AS HE CAN PROVIDE GOOD EVIDENCE AS SOURCES OF HIS INCOME

Thank You

if he is ready to pay tuition fee of 15,000 dollars, why can't you apply to AL1 schools in order to make your visa process easier and faster and you won't need sponsor documents.

Everything don daru for my head

You don't need to show a statement of account for subclass 500. just a letter of sponsorship from your sponsor will do.

only 22 or 23 universities are on AL1 status that do not require bank statement and the schools are expensive

I am surprised that you are confused when you have all information available already regarding if you will need bank statement or not.

Please go to border.gov student visa page, there is simple form to complete that will show you the financial requirements based on your circumstances like the school name and your nationality.

A couple months ago, somebody on this thread was shutting me down and questioning my knowledge on PR. It's good to see someone else buttress some of the points I commented herein earlier.

Hitting the 60points does not automatically qualify you for invitation. There are hundreds of thousands of Indians, Pakistani, Russians, Chinese who have same 60 points as you and edge you with wealth of experiences under their belts vying to be invited. Especially in the area of technology. Although studying in Australia may not necessarily give you an edge over someone with wealth of experience but will over someone without one and applying from external.

The immigration has quota of those to be invited each year just like with any type of visa. The quota increases or decreases according to demand.

The competition is higher when you apply via sol to csol. If your occupation is in state like Northern territory, Tasmania and South Australia, you have better chances to be invited by those States as long as you are willing to live there for 2 two years before moving on.

Don't forget there a thousands of students in Australia paying $40-65k to study with the aim of getting a PR afterwards. They have invested in Australia and will be given preference over someone from overseas without experience vying for same position.

Having said that, there is no harm giving it a go as everyone's luck differs.

No other way to say it better champ.

Maybe from next year, I doubt if anyone with 60 points and below will even be invited sef in some occupations. The competition is increasing as more people have more information.

Asians and Arabs especially chinese and indians are more aggressive than us and they have more tools and edge. Their motive is to extend their family business and have second nationality in a western world in order to have more business opportunities. They have dealt with UK and Canada in the past, now it is oz.

Most don't even pay first semester tuition fee to get student visa, they pay all 2 years fee once and most will even buy house when they land in oz to even increase chance of getting PR.

The classification of our bachelor's degree as associate degree is not helping our people to get maximum points from experience. Recently I sent email to the education dept responsible for the reasons for classifying just few 6 or 5 universities bachelor's degree as equivalent but unfortunately it will be like this for sometime.

The best is to encourage people to study more health related or skilled based courses in our technical schools instead of everyone study business administration, accounting etc. Apprenticeships and health related occupations will still always have edge irrespective of the competition for PR to Canada or Australia.

Tell your younger ones to study in our technical schools to become welder, electrician, carpenter, plumber, chef, masons, etc. They will be independent and reduce unemployment in our country and for years to come, they will always the opportunity of migrating to Canada or anywhere for PR.

Thanks for your prompt response, I am employed but I can't obtain leave letter from my employer. In fact a mere mention of that could result to grounds for dismissal. Please how do I address this issue.

Again you talked about reference letter, but my school didn't require it for admission so I don't have it presently. So also, how do I go about that.

Thanks again

Letter of introduction that you work with the company should also suffice. If you can't get this documents from them, your appointment letters, confirmation , ID card and other company related documents should attached.

The reference letters not really compulsory but it is just to show that your previous lecturers or previous employer can also say something about you.

As the school is AL1, you don't really need to have sleepless nights on the above.

Thanks for the information shared so far on this thread.

I guess both of us are trying to drive home the same point just that I was quite startled when you used the word "forget" about check Sol/Csol stuff but I understand you better now and by external assessment, I meant qualification and skills done by the assessing body in question as one might only have propositions but until the body itself gives a feedback, positive assessment isn't certain.

Meanwhile, I had earlier thought that once a candidate aiming for an Independent skilled Visa (189) is able to garner 60 points as long as the occupation isn't flagged and not under special conditions (190), ITA is sure. Please shed more light on this.

Cheers

It is alright mate. The most important is we are able to pass information to help people achieve their travel aims.

There are hundred thousands of immigrant in that skill select and only the highest pointers will be invited until the budgeted invitees is reached. 60 points is just the standard.

There are many people that had 60 points and they were never invited from skill select to apply till their occupation was removed the list. Same faith awaits account related occupations

They have reduced all accountants, auditors and management related occupations and ict occupations this year and presently the number of people remaining to be invited will be limited, hence the competition.

That's why you see some people travelling to study in Australia to get more points and have options of regional sponsorship and independent etc.

Or after your positive assessment and having done the English exam, you can look for registered immigration agents to help you get employer sponsorship.

Nope you don't require to show any bank statement.

Mostly for postgraduate, the home ties is your current situation. Are you presently employed or doing business ? Include all employment and business evidences including introduction letters.

Also reference letter you used during admission can also be submitted for visa if it is a to whom it may concern, if not try get reference letters.
