Like i was told earlier most schools request for parents or someone you have the same surname with SOA before they give admission, but for visa embassy one might use his uncle with different surname SOA. My question now is, is there a way of dodging providing school with SOA? Can i have universities like that, i would prefer to apply to those ones. Although I have sufficient money in uncle SOA but it is just that it's a very far uncle with different surname that's my sponsor?

Recently most have started to request now unlike before. Get the acceptance from 2 or 3 schools and commence from there.

But if the account is very fat as you have said, the schools might still accept it.

Also note that it is also a gamble for your visa application using relatives that are not too close to you like uncles and aunties.

Secondly, is there anything i can do and is it all universities in Canada that request for SOA before they give admission? If yes, what can I do?

Not all, apply to two or three schools, before acceptance, they will inform you of the conditions.

Do anyone have idea of universities with 2017 entry asides Feb and July that has passed?

The major intakes are feb and july but some tafes might have other intakes.but note that it is tougher hurdle to get visas to study at tafes because of the courses are diplomas or undergraduate.

Lastly, sorry for being too inquisitive i need this info to proceed, want to put forward an admission application soonest and don't want future plights.

Its alright. It is better to do it right. I advise students to avoid the starting at all if the chances of visa grants is low. Too much pressures of getting positive outcome on visa applications.

The problem is a very far uncle with a different surname as mine is my sponsor, how can i go through the universities admission since i was told that most schools but not all schools normally request for parents SOA before issuing COE for students....

Most people still expecting visas when schools have resumed which is very rare in Australia cases.

Things are getting tougher again and AL1 assessment might not work for us due to activities of our brothers and sisters.

If your target intake will be february 2018, i will advise you to just get a good bank statement ready for your school and embassy.

Also, apply very early for your admission and visa.

Thia is damn true even banks in well developed countries are faced with this risk and they loose huge amount but good thing for them is insurance and system that works

my brother take it easy, nobody is perfect everybody at a point in life ask irrelevant questions it's natural but if the questions people ask here is annoying you just ignore. If financial institution can take so long based on @rooney, then how long do you think the universities or polytechnic will take ?

The most easy for them to verify is the waec or neco due to scatch card.

Documents from our sides are hard to verify compared to other developed countries when you can verify easily online.

Based on experience embassy will only ask banks the following questions in addition to sending the bank statement back to them

Please answer yes or no

Is the bank statement issued by your bank ?

Is the owner of the account aware that his bank statement is been used ?

Is the bank statement with the same with what you have on your system ?

A genuine bank statement will be yes to all three.

It is advisable that people desist from using fake documents has it affects genuine applicants.

It is better you drop this your option of using your friend as a sponsor. It is very flimsy and doesnt hold water.

Even schools that have strict GTE requirement might not issue you COE.

Its a gamble my friend.

FYI, those going for this conference were advise directly from AU to get yellow card.

So who should we believe?

Yellow card is different from medical examination.

Yellow card is compulsory for all short and long stay visas while medical is not needed for short stay visa unless they contact you to provide maybe due to old age or something.

Medical examination is what you do at IOM and the yellow card is what you get at the federal health facility close the lagos airport.

You were going for conference and you were mentioning medicals at IOM. Thats the reason why i mentioned you should check their website for the business visitor visa checklist

Yes you can study those courses in australia so far you have minimum of 2.2 and i think @haliru that just got his grant is studying similar course for his msc.

Meanwhile, by going to google to search list of all universities in australia, you can get the website of all the schools and by checking you you will get info about their courses and fees.

Tuition fees in australia is high and ranges from 24,000 AUD and above per year. Most schools will require you to deposit half of that amount before they issue you document (COE) needed for visa.

Yes your uncle can sponsor and if you read this current part 3, you can get lots of tips.

Yes you can work while you study.

You are going for conference, why are you here

Most of the people here are going for study visa in a university or college.

Why cant you go to Australia Immigration website and read the requirements for your visa.

They even have a checklist for you to determine all the requirements for your visa class when you input all your info.

For the IOM, why cant you input IOM Lagos into google and you will get their website and download the requirements.

You guys probably think it is that easy working and studying and raising money for school fees. It is doable but at which cost? Why mount unnecessary pressure on yourself when you can make your life easier.

There are many students here who regrets not coming on PR.

Please dont say others are misleading people because you have different opinion.

I understand how it feels when you are on study visa while others came on PR, dont forget that there is high probability that you will still be waiting on skill select if not study visa.

You people mention PR as if once you have posive assessment and with good english and you register on skillselect, you will just get nominated like that.

What about the classifications of our degrees not comparable to australia by some assessment bodies.

Occupations in accountings and ict has almost reached ceiling in the first quarter and points to be nominated and selected was also increased.

I know people that have spent years and months without being selected especially occupations except the ones mentioned by the man (yeyen) above.

If you have the means, the best is study route instead of wasting time while policies and systems becomes unfavorable.

If you have a spouse, good for you as you can support each other.

Studying MPH is a sheer waste of resources and time aside the knowledge that will be gained though. Well, I have given this advice to many people but they rejected it.

My advice is, collect the tuition deposit you have paid. Start your PR application.

Alternatively, let her go and you can start your PR application here. Once you get it, you can join her.

Life will be easier for you with PR than on student visa considering you are married with a child. It is better for single students compared to the married folks.

If they travel together, they can support each other while the husband starts his PR process immediately or even before they arrive.

I don't see reason to call if your resumption is still July ending. They will get to you that's for sure.. Dem no forget una ... Lol

If your orientation is July 3rd, next week you can call them if nothing yet.

They take time and they verify documents a lot.

I will advice keep calm and wait, you don't want force them to just give you one GTE reason a d refuse your application ooo

There are lots of applications pending, don't give your self unnecessary headache. It is either they approve or refusal.

July 24th is still very far and I think most schools starts orientation July 4th or 3rd.

Relax and focus on other stuffs to keep yourself busy.

More results should be ready this week and next.

Thing is the agency we used for the processing said that being that she has got a medical degree, it would not be adviceable to have a post-graduate degree application for nursing. That it would raise eyebrows during processing if it is seen that a medical doctor is applying to study nurscing...something about "down-studying"

You don't need GRE.

People have started getting respons especially most that submitted before 20th May.

Based on the numbers of people that initially informed this thread that they submitted applications in April and early May and their inactivity , obviously results are not too good.

Thanks "santity100" for the response, thing is she got an offer letter and we were supposed to pay the total family cover as regards the health insurance, but her case officer said we should pay just her own insurance. Also we were thinking that in the case she gets her approval and myself and the kids get ours, I could join her in order to make arrangements for the kids and all that settling in things before coming back for the kids. wondering if it might be an issue if I am going in without the kids and all. 1) she pays insurance for the dependants and spouse. This will be high as it is family but you can have estimate by using Google OSHC australia.

Your uncle's wife want to sponsor your education. Even some schools won't give you COE for using your uncle's wife.

The best sponsor are your parents, your siblings, spouse and worst case your aunty or uncle

1) there is no relationship between the applicant an the sponsor. Imagine the distance between the student and the sponsor.

2) maybe if the student is a teenager lets say between 18 and 20, we might say that his uncle has been responsible for him since childhood, but why the wife ??

3) Maybe if the statement has a balance in the range of 20m and very good inflow and outflow during the period, I might still be okay but still not good .

Its your choice man, follow your heart but your uncle's wife has your sponsor is flimsy and Australia embassy are very strict like Canada, forget the bonanza they did in February intake and early May.

Australia embassy doesn't direct anyone to agents. It is the schools that direct students to agent for admission and visa processing
