please can I used someone who is not does not bear my surname as my sponsor..He is a distance uncle...

Yes you can but you just reduced your chances of getting your visa.

Things are getting tougher and as you can see there is tension for visa applicants that are suppose to resume this july.

Subsequent visa applicants needs to learn and take note.

It is better you move that 10m to your parents or siblings for the 3 month and instead of uncle.

You can even share 2m in your personal while 8m in the other account.

All the best.

What documents will I submit for my sponsor

If you through this part 3, it will take less than an hour, you will have all the necessary info you need to submit for visa.

If you now require more complex questions, you can then ask.

please someone should reply me....i need answers please

People here are very busy waiting for visas.

The good thing for you is that the money will be there for three months.

Make sure the account is busy during that period through withdrawals and desposits.

And when you want to print. Choose dates when the balances are huge during the three months.

Thats all.

Santity plz oo

I want to ask ooo cant my uncle who is my mum's brother sponsor me(we have different last name) can Landed documents help prove GTE . cos this my only chance or hope of getting a sponsor.

Not to discourage anyone, uncles and aunt can sponsor, it is a secondary source and you need to convince CO more. It rarely flies for canada again and soon Australia too will lock shop.

Yes he can sponsor you but your uncle and your mum will need to provide their passport pages, birth certificates and any other evidence.

Landed property is important but more important points are

1) previous educational background and experience
2) planned course of study and level in australia
3) a strong sop of your plans and intentions
3) previous travel history
4) family
4) available source of finance.
5) Luck

Please guys answer my question

You in a fix because age is very important for your assessment and this disparity is not too good as you will also need to submit your transcript for PR application after nomination.

My suggestion

(1) Do a court affidavit for the age difference
(2) Also try to see if you can talk to your school that the age is wrong by showing them your passport and other documents, maybe they will give you a letter even if they cannot change the dates.

Please where do I start, what site do I check. What is required before consideration? please help

The most important stuff
1) educational background and qualification
2) work experience
3) your occupation and assessing body (search google for australia sol list)
4) ielts or pte score

If you can get positive assessment of your skill, employer momination cam be arranged by your australian siblings while you also queue for independent and family nomination on skill select.

There is another thread for these stuffs, it is better you go there in order not to derail this thread.

It takes time but it is worth it.

Yes ooo because of a misconception on my SOA by the embassy so this time I want to use a different SOA

It was done on purpose. If i send you someone refusal notice, you will be surprised.
Travel / Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by santity100: 10:29am On Jul 15, 2017
@queenbet.

You and your spouse should check the skilled migration website for your options instead of the msc

You have siblings in australia, they can sponsor you on skilled migration which will make the process faster than independent.

Your siblings in Australia can also talk to migration agents in australia for possibility of employer nominations.

Submitting another study visa application is a hardcase but possible if you have strong sop amd financial evidences as you can see what is happening to loads of applicants still waiting here.

Visa refusal is a bad experience which only the applicant can understand.

Congrats on your grant dear.

Please gurus in the house, I have so many questions,
1. How long can it take me to reapply again?

It depends on how ready you are and the new documents you can provide to increase your chances.

2. How long will it take for me to get a refund from Victoria University?

Immediately notify them of your intentions and request refund. It shouldnt take long though they might deduct certain percentage.

3. Are there AL1 universities in Melbourne that has a November intake?

Yes. Check deakin, Monash, RMIT and unimelbourne.

These schools are very expensive though with minimum around 30k aud

4. How much should be on SOA to cover for myself, 2kids and hubby?

It should be extremely good. The schools will want to see the balance available unlike the embassy that will check the info and outflow. Minimum balance of around 18m is good.

The source of funds and sponsorship are vital.

5. Has anyone heard of Melbourne Institute of Technology? Not RMIT. Please if you have, can you tell me what AL they are and how they work generally. Thanks

MIT is not AL1 one. So you will need full requirements for visa.

Please reply, it's really urgent

Yes, got admitted in Victoria University, Melbourne to do Master of Engineering (Telecommunications)

Leave scrutinise.

When it comes to visa applications, the application must be very straightforward.

The fact that your spouse family is sponsoring you for masters instead of your spouse is not straightforward.

The fact that the sponsors are australian citizen sponsoring you instead of their immediate family and all of you will be travelling together is also a GTE red flag.

Stuffs happen for a purpose.

someone please help, my application was rejected this morning on a misunderstanding from immigration, I want to protest it. Is it advisable?

2. if my brother in law sponsor's me, am I fighting a losing battle?

Most times you cannot really fight a battle for refusal on study or visitor visa. The best is allow water to cool this one and reapply at a later date.

Brother in law sponsoring you is not very convincing.

The best sponsors are your parents, spouse, siblings and secondary can be uncles and aunties.

Sorry mate. I always advise applicant to avoid applying instead of gambling their chances with flimsy evidences.

Thats nice sir but that information might not apply to study visa applicant from assessment 3 countries.

Infact it is GTE red flag even some tafes wont accept the application to save the student the stress of visa.

Nah for developed countries, their citizen can study what they like any time and moment with different pathways.

cool cheesy cool

You are still not getting me boss. Like i was told earlier most schools request for parents or someone you have the same surname with SOA before they give admission, but for visa embassy one might use his uncle with different surname SOA. My question now is, is there a way of dodging providing school with SOA? Can i have universities like that, i would prefer to apply to those ones. Although I have sufficient money in uncle SOA but it is just that it's a very far uncle with different surname that's my sponsor?

Recently most have started to request now unlike before. Get the acceptance from 2 or 3 schools and commence from there.

But if the account is very fat as you have said, the schools might still accept it.

Also note that it is also a gamble for your visa application using relatives that are not too close to you like uncles and aunties.

Secondly, is there anything i can do and is it all universities in Canada that request for SOA before they give admission? If yes, what can I do?

Not all, apply to two or three schools, before acceptance, they will inform you of the conditions
.

Do anyone have idea of universities with 2017 entry asides Feb and July that has passed?

The major intakes are feb and july but some tafes might have other intakes.but note that it is tougher hurdle to get visas to study at tafes because of the courses are diplomas or undergraduate.

Lastly, sorry for being too inquisitive i need this info to proceed, want to put forward an admission application soonest and don't want future plights.
We will meet in Australia in peace...

Its alright. It is better to do it right. I advise students to avoid the starting at all if the chances of visa grants is low. Too much pressures of getting positive outcome on visa applications.

Thanks for your prompt and concise response bro.

To be more clear with my question: I mean Universities that wouldn't request for someone SOA as part of Admission before issuing COE, i am not talking about visa application bro?

The problem is a very far uncle with a different surname as mine is my sponsor, how can i go through the universities admission since i was told that most schools but not all schools normally request for parents SOA before issuing COE for students....

If you have once been in this shoe, your response would be tremendously appreciated.
Thanks

If the school doesnt require soa and the embassy request nko ?

Most people still expecting visas when schools have resumed which is very rare in Australia cases.

Things are getting tougher again and AL1 assessment might not work for us due to activities of our brothers and sisters.

If your target intake will be february 2018, i will advise you to just get a good bank statement ready for your school and embassy.

Also, apply very early for your admission and visa.

Some people know d answers to those questions but there just want to interact with others to either confirm or make friends with people during the process

i am saying we need to be polite to one another.

Why are you telling me this ?

Being polite is a very good virture for all of us though frustrating sometimes when some people come here and start asking questions like list of schools in australia, what is the visa fee , how do i apply for admission etc.. when information are available all over the internets.

social media and online public forums just pack all kind of facless people together.

@Rooney, pls if you dont mind, could you advise us the bank that caused you this prolonged delay?

If financial institution can take so long based on @rooney, then how long do you think the universities or polytechnic will take ?

The most easy for them to verify is the waec or neco due to scatch card.

Documents from our sides are hard to verify compared to other developed countries when you can verify easily online.

Based on experience embassy will only ask banks the following questions in addition to sending the bank statement back to them

Please answer yes or no

Is the bank statement issued by your bank ?

Is the owner of the account aware that his bank statement is been used ?

Is the bank statement with the same with what you have on your system ?

A genuine bank statement will be yes to all three.

It is advisable that people desist from using fake documents has it affects genuine applicants.

Thanks for ur time, just learnt his still a student but his PR status is been vetted, can his SOA still come through for a prospective student?

It is better you drop this your option of using your friend as a sponsor. It is very flimsy and doesnt hold water.

Even schools that have strict GTE requirement might not issue you COE.

Its a gamble my friend.

That's why I asked for input.

Now you'll understand if I knew all, I wouldn't have asked question.

Let other people respond.

FYI, those going for this conference were advise directly from AU to get yellow card.

So who should we believe? grin

Yellow card is different from medical examination.

Yellow card is compulsory for all short and long stay visas while medical is not needed for short stay visa unless they contact you to provide maybe due to old age or something.

Medical examination is what you do at IOM and the yellow card is what you get at the federal health facility close the lagos airport.

You were going for conference and you were mentioning medicals at IOM. Thats the reason why i mentioned you should check their website for the business visitor visa checklist

There's no dedicated thread for people on Australian visit apart from those of you trying to school there.

I don't intend to school but go there, spend 5 days and return back to my family. Wetin I wan read again? I'm an old man na.

Yes, I'm fully prepared as regards documentations and also know where to go. Just want contributions and sharing of experience with others

Old man, you see you are now mixing it up.

You dont need medical examination for your class of visa.

Good morning gurus I have been a silent member of this trend since early June. I have some inquiries please. I study Microbiology in my undergraduate, 4yrs course and I finish with an excellent result I also have TOEFL result of 84/120. I wish to pursue Msc or Master of Philosophy in either Microbiology Biotechnology or Biomedical science, please kindly advise me on Australian universities i can apply to that have more affordable tuition fees and one can easily gain admission into. Also i have my uncle which doesn't share the same surname with me as my sponsor, would this cause any problem, if yes what do you think i can do... Finally how easy is it for an international student to get a part time job in Australia. Thanks house

Yes you can study those courses in australia so far you have minimum of 2.2 and i think @haliru that just got his grant is studying similar course for his msc.

Meanwhile, by going to google to search list of all universities in australia, you can get the website of all the schools and by checking you you will get info about their courses and fees.

Tuition fees in australia is high and ranges from 24,000 AUD and above per year. Most schools will require you to deposit half of that amount before they issue you document (COE) needed for visa.

Yes your uncle can sponsor and if you read this current part 3, you can get lots of tips.

Yes you can work while you study.

I'm in Lagos.

I'm going for a conference and practically all necessary documents are ready and I want to visit the application centre on Tuesday for biometric. I was thinking if I should do medicals before going for biometrics

You are going for conference, why are you here

Most of the people here are going for study visa in a university or college.

Why cant you go to Australia Immigration website and read the requirements for your visa.

They even have a checklist for you to determine all the requirements for your visa class when you input all your info.

For the IOM, why cant you input IOM Lagos into google and you will get their website and download the requirements.

Are you currently living in the country?

Stop misinforming people. I am not sure you understand occupational ceiling.

@yeyen004,

Why work with a probability when you have a certainty?

You guys probably think it is that easy working and studying and raising money for school fees. It is doable but at which cost? Why mount unnecessary pressure on yourself when you can make your life easier.

There are many students here who regrets not coming on PR.

Please dont say others are misleading people because you have different opinion.

I understand how it feels when you are on study visa while others came on PR, dont forget that there is high probability that you will still be waiting on skill select if not study visa.

You people mention PR as if once you have posive assessment and with good english and you register on skillselect, you will just get nominated like that.

What about the classifications of our degrees not comparable to australia by some assessment bodies.

Occupations in accountings and ict has almost reached ceiling in the first quarter and points to be nominated and selected was also increased.

I know people that have spent years and months without being selected especially occupations except the ones mentioned by the man (yeyen) above.

If you have the means, the best is study route instead of wasting time while policies and systems becomes unfavorable.

If you have a spouse, good for you as you can support each other.

You have an engineering degree, why waste money paying school fees for your wife?

Studying MPH is a sheer waste of resources and time aside the knowledge that will be gained though. Well, I have given this advice to many people but they rejected it.

My advice is, collect the tuition deposit you have paid. Start your PR application.

Alternatively, let her go and you can start your PR application here. Once you get it, you can join her.

Life will be easier for you with PR than on student visa considering you are married with a child. It is better for single students compared to the married folks.

If they travel together, they can support each other while the husband starts his PR process immediately or even before they arrive.

Things are changing and very soon it will become difficult to pull through skill select. Most occupations has started reaching ceiling.
