A friend was charged 32 naira few days ago by FCMB. Aboki would also charge you much higher. You cant make Cash withdrawal with your ATM card (most banks i know) once you enter SA either. Cash tansit cost some risk too

...I dmt know about that there are some that accept O level results...Am also going for undergraduate next year...Going for University of johnnesburg(UJ) and University of South africa(Unisa)...Unisa is much more affordable...Just visit their website www.uj.ac.za or www.unisa.ac.za....so email them for enquiries or call them directly ...Hope that helps...Keep me posted on how it goes....

The entry requiremnt to SA universities is a mAtric certificate which is deemed higher than our O level. I am not aware of naybody being able to use O level to secure admission directly. I know with your 100level transcript from a nigerian university or A level result, you can secure admission to do a bachelor programme. Cheers

You need to get all d documents ready, get to VFS office as early as say 530/6am and be lucky to get attended to fast enough. Your approved visa/passport can be delivered to you via courier.

Your O level is lower than their MAtric certificate. Your best bet is to do A levels or enter a naija university and get a 100 level tanscript to apply.

Hello House,

I have a small building project consisting of 10 rooms in a straight line intended for student accommodation. Each room is 10 x 12 feet size with ensuit bathroom and small kitchen area. Attached is a picture of the site.
The construction is almost at lintel level and reading through nairaland has helped shaped my understanding a lot especially with pricing, and structural guide posts that should/ should have been done. Now:
1. On the importance of german floor. Can flooring before roofing help the structure of the house because i did not do german floor before block setting. The house is on a good soil structure
2. what is the likely cost of roofing. Wood and iron sheet.I intend using reasonable cheap but good quality aluminium roofing sheet.

i know this thread is a little old but i need your advice.
I have a very close cousin who has only a NTC certficate after finishing technical school but am sure his practical skills is very limited. He had agitated to travel to dubai to hustle but i have adviced him to acquire skills that can help him survive anywhere. I thought about learning industrial welding. If he finishes, he may secure a means of living for himself here in Nigeria or even in Dubai where his mind is.
Please advise on a good training centre around and the likely cost (cheaper...money will always be the major limitation).....I am really determned to help my cousin get a good start.

A Nigerian who described himself as a footballer was yesterday sentenced in Phnom Penh Municipal Court to eight years’ jail and fined 40 million riel (about $10,000) for drug trafficking. Francis Ihenwe Oderah, 30, had 100 grams of meth in his possession when he was arrested in Phnom Penh’s Choam Chao commune in January.During his hearing on June 7, the accused admitted having acted as a delivery man, but said he was not a dealer. It also was revealed that the meth he was carrying had a purity of about 72 per cent.
Oderah will carry out his sentence in Prey Sar prison, where he has been detained since his arrest in January.

Judge Svay Tonh also ruled that three phones and a passport taken from the defendant upon his arrest would be returned. Oderah refused to comment when asked about the verdict on his way out of court.

English B2 4pts
Mathematics A1 6pts
Biology A1 6pts
Chemistry B3 4pts
Physics B2 4pts Total: 24 pts
O level was 1 sitting: 10pts

Jamb score was 222: 28pts

Aggregate points: 62 points.

If such student can push his/her jamb score to the range of 250-270, such student shouldnt have problem securing admission into any of the most competitive courses like Medicine, Law, Engineering etc

Cost of land = 250k



Cost of clearing and tractor work = 30k early 2014



Foundation = we moulded the blocks, like a tonne and half cement was used. like 750 blocks for Foundation.....total cost + workmanship 150k, you read that right, 150k



The bricklayer charged us 60k to lay the Foundation blocks.



Laying of blocks to lintel level...size 6 was used for this, we moulded all our blocks too, like 4 tonnes of cement and sand cost like 400k, that's like 2800 blocks



The bricklayer collected 150k



Lintel, iron rods, Carpenter work, bricklayer work and Concrete....like 200k



Wood work = 200k
Workmanship = 60k



Aluminum longspan roofing sheet = 450k



Buglary for all Windows, 14 big Windows and 5 small windows = 130k



Imported Entrance door and exit door....like 50k



Aluminum Windows....Casement type = 400k



Exterior POP works on Windows and doors, cement used and sand, all cost us 30k, workmanship 120k



Flooring of all the floors and interior wall plastering...10 loads of sand like 80k, 2 and half tonnes of cement....64k
Workmanship = 60k (these were done when I came back from service 2 months ago, these are latest prices)



Electrical works and wiring. 250k + workmanship



Plumbing works (laying of pipes and channeling to the soak away + workmanship = 150k



POP work for living room, dining, 3 terraces, a lobby and visitor's toilet = 200k (2 weeks ago)



Digging of well and soak away pit = 250k (its not yet complete)



On going work today (Flooring of the Entrance porch + terrace and steps at the back - (6 bags of cement =9k, 30 six inches blocks = 3300, workmanship 6k....totalling approximately 20k



This is a break down of all the expenses from start to this stage....these are almost accurate estimate as she can't totally get the figures right.



There is still much money to spend ooo but life na jeje, na to dey do am small small as money dey show.
