Thanks bro.

Bad Belle Americans. They should go and deal with their gun violence and rundown downtowns.

PoliticsRe: Live Collation Of Adamawa Governorship Results by santos247(m): 5:53pm On Apr 18, 2023
Presidential election of MArch is different to this in many respect.
1. Result from each state were concluded by the State returning officers before coming to Lagos. There was no controversy at that stage.
2. Once all results are presented to the National Returning officer (INEC Cahriman), he is obligated under the law to conclude the process.
3. In the case of Adamawa, the INEC REC tried to prevent the collation and announcement of results from the various LGAs, which is against the regulations. What the returning officer did is to allow the system run its course and we have a clear winner.
4. It is important to question why the returning officer for RiverS State allowed or did not do due dilligence on the results presented to him before annoucing results that showed APC won. I think the Rivers State returning officer, the REC and others who are culpabale should be prosecuted.
Mahmouh Yakubu did what was needful by proceeding with the collation and announcement of a Presidential winner.
THis is fact and not emotion.

If yakubu mahood had taken due diligence as this to sort out the presidential election, would the earth have fallen?
PoliticsRe: Update On Kaduna State Governorship Results (2023) by santos247(m): 12:01pm On Mar 23, 2023
What then happens when Political parties do a ballot paper recount.
IF this has happened on a grand scale, then it wont stand for long- d court will unearth it and recalculate votes PU by PU.

cassyrooy:
when Party A scores 51, Party B scores 31 and Party C score 71.

The "Establishment Party A" candidate with "Structure" can have his Structure transfer results from Party B by taking 20 (31 - 20 = 11) and 15 (71 - 15 = 56) thereby making his own votes 51 (+ 20 + 15 = 86).

So the real voting is;
A 51; B 31; and C 71, but declared results will look like A 86; B 11; and C 56, thereby coasting to victory.
PoliticsRe: Update On Kaduna State Governorship Results (2023) by santos247(m): 12:49pm On Mar 20, 2023
Please how does vote transfer work?
Can you break it down for me please.
cassyrooy:
Thuggery that leads to wasted votes, voter suppression and marginalisation, and electoral victimisation and outright vote transfers leads to voter aparthy in subsequent elections.

When you people were burning BRT buses during ENDSARS, youths and elders of Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Zamfara, Kwara, Kogi, Bornon, YObe, Taraba et al., were looking you with disgust. Please if you want to set the 'nation' on fire, just start from your Town of origin. Begin with your family house, ask your cousins to join. When you have extra petrol, you can extend to neighbouring towns. If you attempt anything near my own city, you will be buried.
The people of my city voted, watched their votes counted, have confirmed it matches that which was collated and also corresponds to what is on Irev.

There is no harm in helping the person.
THose who have not travelled before may express reservations because of the things they hear and read about. A driver's license is just a plastic ID card. HOlding somebody's ID does not equate to identity theft since you are not claiming you are the person. Put it inside your luggaed or hand bag and nobody will trouble you.
People help others carry things like international passport, certificate etc. Depending on who, people help others carry food stuff, clothese, shoes bags etc. if you know them well enough.
I have helped a female friend (PhD student carry black soap from Naija to South Africa and I have carried food stuff enter Europe.
LIfe is not that hard oo

YoungG4life:
Hello Gurus please I need your opinion.

Someone is asking that I help them bring their drivers licence which they couldn't pick up before travelling. Is it advisable that I carry another person's drivers ID while travelling? Would I be held at the airport by immigration or airport security? The same person wants me to help them also carry shoes but I declined and I don't know this person just someone that got my contact while searching for accommodation in the UK. Please I'm a first time traveller I need your honest opinion

In your mind, anybody who is not a muslim is automatically a Christian?
Anyone in countries like Sweden, Finland, UK, USA, Australia, Switzerland etc., who is not identified with Islam is automatically a Christian?
Anyway, our desire is that it will be so. We want them to encounter the love of Jesus. But it is not so.
There is no indication whatsoever that this person who burnt a Koran is a Christian.
Logic is supposed to be a compulsory course at some point beyond age 18.

God1000:
This will further worsen relations between Sweden, turkey and the Muslim countries.

What the world needs right now is rapprochement, detente and entente.

Why did the Swedish government give him the permission to do such thing when they are begging turkey to approve their application to join NATO?

We should be bold enough to condemn Christian extremists

This is an old discussion- Paying TV license or not.
I think anyone joining even a religious programme via facebook live, youtube etc is liable to TV license. One is safer to assume responsibility than dodge it.
Please, what is the advantage of a Broadband+ TV subscription vs Broadband alone then one do Netflix separately?
To be fair, this is the right thing to do. If you don't have "liver" like me, just pay the £15 or so monthly, it's not that big a deal. Tomorrow, you may buy a smart TV that comes with bbc installed. Many of them do.
In your mind, the only reason a Yoruba person will vote Tinubu is because of ethnicity? But if an Hausa, Tiv, Jukun, Efik, Ijaw person vote for him, its not ethnicity?
YOu guys are drawing 2023 to a tribal supremacy battle and it is shameful. Peter Obi has sterling qualities to market him other than this chest beating, and ethnic blackmail coming from his Igbo tribal brothers.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Ramps Up Construction Of Pipeline Delivering Gas To Europe (Video) by santos247(m): 10:13pm On Aug 12, 2022
We flare 30% of our gas.
We could use the gas to generate electricity.
We could pipe the gas into homes for domestic use- starting from places like Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and Lagos. Imagine the quantum effect on our total energy demand.
The trans-sahara pipeline project has been on for decades. Sylvia is just making headline. No serious investment to get it executed.
If anything will happen in this country, the private sector must take it up. Bring the money, bring the expertise, execute, make profit, pay taxes. Our govt is useless like a dead monkey !!!!

Thanks for this feedback.
Lloyds bank does not operate LISA. Moneybox operates a cash and stocks LISA. I will explore them while trying to maintain another investment portfolio with Lloyds.
Once again, thank you.

Viruses:
You can also invest it using platforms like moneybox or Lloyds bank (there are others). They invest in shares, bonds, properties etc and their portfolio includes a mixture of these at varying ratios depending on your risk appetite you will select what you want them to invest in at the point of opening the account. Once you put the money there, they manage the investments for you.

The retuns is tax free and maximum investment per annum is £20k. This £20k includes the £4k in your LISA. Meaning if you have LISA and £4k is in it, you can only put max of £16k there, if you don't have LISA, you can put the £20k there.

If you max out the £20k allowance but still have more to invest, you'll have to open a different investment account (can't remember the name). The investments are same but the returns in this one is taxed.

Lloyds bank seems to have a more friendly management fee but having a bank account with them is a pre requisite.

Hello fam, I need some good counsel.
I moved into the Uk just few weeks back on a 3-yr fixed term appointment. I resigned from a previous job outside the UK. I am due to collect my pension contribution. The money has been taxed before being paid to me (>20% tax). The net is not much, just about £8000.
I am thinking of how best to 'invest it' in the Uk, taking cognisance of tax and value. I am not sure how HMRC operate such things.
Here are the options I thought about:
1. I have read about Lifetime ISA on this platform. One can only access the funds after age 60 or when buying a house (house value below £450K)
2. A standard ISA.
I can simply wire the money to the UK and move it into a LISA or ISA account right?
3. Transfer it to a UK pension scheme. I am not sure if it will not be taxed again, now or in the future.
NB: The LISA looks good but being on a 3 yr visa (of course, I trust God for a extended stay and being a permanent staff), makes me think if its advisable at this stage.
Has anyone been in such similar situation? What did you do?

I believe there's a recent outbreak of chicken pox in the UK cuz my eldest son just started showing signs of chicken pox last night and lucky for us a good friend just finished treating their son from the same ailment and brought over the remaining Calamine lotion they used and we started treatment on my son last night.

Please exercise all precautions. Use dettol to sanitise every clothing, hand etc. My kids recovered very quickly but I got infected. The complications is very serious on me as of thisnmoment- swollen eye, blisters all over my face etc. I have been on antiviral drug for 3 days already. It is a serious disease in adult.
