How much were you paid to spew this trash?
All the bankers were reckless including Erastus even if 'his bank' was hijacked.
You warped the narrative to pain him a victim where millions of investors funds were used to play kalo kalo and they were living large on it.
What is the fate of the millions of Intercontinental Bank investors today?

What do you describe as 100% loyalty?
You said, he wasnt loyal even before his boss became sick? Were you an insider in the workings of government? Tell us what he did?
HE the Deputy supposed to be loyal to the Governor at the expense of the State or his loyalty should primarily be to the Constitution/State he swore to serve, then to his principal?

atiku4President:
He was a very bad deputy; one which no boss should pray to have. His disloyalty started long before the late Governor's ill healt got worse. And knowing his late principal had a terminal disease, nothing short of 100% loyalty was expected from him. But he failed.

Family / Re: Is It Normal That I've Never Received Any Gift From Anyone? by santos247(m): 2:36pm On Dec 18, 2023
Don't feel too bad about this. Many folks are in your shoes. Maybe its part of life. Lets hope when you get into a romantic relationship, you will get gifts.
I have received personal gifts from people sparingly as well but I know I have gifted far much more.
Even things like getting people to help with small small things are sometimes hard to get meanwhile, we dedicate ourselves to helping many people in our circle. Its part of life. As long as you see the hand of God upon your life, nothing much to worry about. Cheers.

Olodo24:
Is it normal that no one has ever gifted me anything on special occasions? I'm talking about Valentine, birthday and Christmas. I am 29, and since I became anything close to an adult, I've never had anyone care for me enough to show me love on these special days. Not from family, not from friends.

I am currently not dating and things are really rough for me right now, but I've gifted people in the past. I know some members here will say I'm feeling entitled to the outcome of other people's efforts, but that's really not the point. I just want to experience love and feel loved no matter how small. I can't ask for much.

Having people gift you things is a big flex. I'm not even talking about people coming through for one when one needs help because that one na long story.

So, guys, is this normal? Is it very much normal that feel unloved over this? I'm really over thinking it for sure, but I can't help it.

Is this Landlord an African?
I doubt any Britico person that knows the law will dare do this?
Tenancy Ombudsman will not take it lightly with her.
In fact, from what she has done, you can live in that house rent-free for 4 months.
What temerity !!!!. Please don't be scared. Just keep record of all conversations and stand your ground. YOu are not an illegal immigrant.

UniqueDext:
Please what's that agency that I can report my landlord to please..
My landlord just came to my house and remove my room door because am owning her rent which I told her she will receive within 3 days time. Now my room does not have any door and it wild open.
Rent was due on 15th & on same date she came in & change the outside door key that give access to our flat thus locking me out of the house and just today 17th she came again to remove my room door..

Please I want to know if there is any way I can sue her or claim damages before this woman is very wicked and does anything she wants, thinking that there's nothing I can do because am new to UK.
I have been in this house for over a year and I pay all my rent in full & on time but this one I ask her to give me sometime which was because my new roommate have not been paid yet from he's work & I don't have full money to pay for the new house rent as the rent was increased because we are two.

PLEASE HOUSE I NEED YOUR HELP.
SHES STILL HOLDING MY INITIAL £700 DEPOSIT

Form S8 has to be issued to eject a defaulting tenant from a house. The process alone take several weeks/month. With Her removing your Door, She doesnt have the mouth to even approach the court. Haaa... She will beg you before you pay the next rent.
Please if you need help to deal with this Nigerian woman, consult me. I get small energy for this kind thing. People who brought their oppresive nature from Nigeria and refused to be weaned off it.

Education / Re: ASUU Rejects Curriculum Designed By NUC by santos247(m): 8:46pm On Jul 06, 2023
May I inform you that you are partially correct. You are a productive of that system and it is clearly showing.
Now, the LAw establishing NUC does not give them unilateral powers to design curriculum. Compare that law with the law establishing Universities and the role of Senate and determine who has more power to design syllabus and curriculum.
If NUC is undertaking a nationwide review, should it not carry out a needs assessment, drawing knowledge from all stakeholders first.
Does NUC even know what a Graduate Engineer need to know at this age and time? Who are the people in NUC? Aside the Executive secretary recruited from a University in most intances, you have several directors who mostly transfer their service from the mainstream civil service. A civil servant who graduated in the days of FORTRAN, rising to director level etc.
Critically appraise how curriculum is reviewed in better developed countries and you will realise the critical role of academic societies. Why do you think the Royal societies set benchmarks for specific disciplines?
Why do you think the MEdical and Dental Council set benchmarks?
Why do you think COREN set standards?
Why do you think Nursing council set standards?
Each of these professional societies are composed mainly of the practitioners of those fields.
QED.
ebenholer2:

May I inform you that u are wrong too...it is the right of NUC headship to spearhead any of such review since ASUU has been allotted their portion of duty. I think the known grievances of ASUU should clearly be why they were not given 70% stake too so as to mesmerize the whole process as usual. How can ASUU prove their effectiveness when many graduates are only cognitively developed under their watch while they end up being liabilities to the nation and we have daft in the leadership position of the nation who we see rewarding cognitiveness while creativity are left unrewarded or undermined.
Education / Re: ASUU Rejects Curriculum Designed By NUC by santos247(m): 8:56pm On Jun 30, 2023
Many people are complaining of low quality lecturers, including people who used special centres to ace SSCE/UTME exams. People whose parents and family helped them secure employment via the backdoor.
The poor quality of lecturers in some Universities is a reflection of the wider society. In a country of poor ethics, high unemployment, many are securing lecturing positions to escape the unemployment market. Furthermore, lack of training and resources is a major hindrance to excellence.
BMAS needs a review but it should be championed by all relevant stakeholders. Student representatives, employers and industry players from each discipline need to have input.

FreeStuffsNG:
ASUU was part of the whole process from start to finish.

This is false.
I was equally miffed when I saw the new CCMA document. NUC powered Professor Okebukola to embark on the CCMA project. Key stakeholders were engaged at the earlier stages but left out during the critical review and finalisation stages.
This CCMA is one of the anyhowness of our Nigerian system

At what point did GSM and Auxilliary fall out?
What we knew up till election was that GSM used him as PSudo-defactor transport Manager for Oyo State.
If he had wanted a reform or a new person, could they not have sorted it in a talk, ask him to walk away or split the parks?
What are the key contentions?

Politics / Re: Live Collation Of Adamawa Governorship Results by santos247(m): 5:53pm On Apr 18, 2023
Presidential election of MArch is different to this in many respect.
1. Result from each state were concluded by the State returning officers before coming to Lagos. There was no controversy at that stage.
2. Once all results are presented to the National Returning officer (INEC Cahriman), he is obligated under the law to conclude the process.
3. In the case of Adamawa, the INEC REC tried to prevent the collation and announcement of results from the various LGAs, which is against the regulations. What the returning officer did is to allow the system run its course and we have a clear winner.
4. It is important to question why the returning officer for RiverS State allowed or did not do due dilligence on the results presented to him before annoucing results that showed APC won. I think the Rivers State returning officer, the REC and others who are culpabale should be prosecuted.
Mahmouh Yakubu did what was needful by proceeding with the collation and announcement of a Presidential winner.
THis is fact and not emotion.

Tntsi:
If yakubu mahood had taken due diligence as this to sort out the presidential election, would the earth have fallen?

What then happens when Political parties do a ballot paper recount.
IF this has happened on a grand scale, then it wont stand for long- d court will unearth it and recalculate votes PU by PU.

cassyrooy:
when Party A scores 51, Party B scores 31 and Party C score 71.

The "Establishment Party A" candidate with "Structure" can have his Structure transfer results from Party B by taking 20 (31 - 20 = 11) and 15 (71 - 15 = 56) thereby making his own votes 51 (+ 20 + 15 = 86).

So the real voting is;
A 51; B 31; and C 71, but declared results will look like A 86; B 11; and C 56, thereby coasting to victory.
Politics / Re: Update On Kaduna State Governorship Results (2023) by santos247(m): 12:49pm On Mar 20, 2023
Please how does vote transfer work?
Can you break it down for me please.
cassyrooy:
Thuggery that leads to wasted votes, voter suppression and marginalisation, and electoral victimisation and outright vote transfers leads to voter aparthy in subsequent elections.

When you people were burning BRT buses during ENDSARS, youths and elders of Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Zamfara, Kwara, Kogi, Bornon, YObe, Taraba et al., were looking you with disgust. Please if you want to set the 'nation' on fire, just start from your Town of origin. Begin with your family house, ask your cousins to join. When you have extra petrol, you can extend to neighbouring towns. If you attempt anything near my own city, you will be buried.
The people of my city voted, watched their votes counted, have confirmed it matches that which was collated and also corresponds to what is on Irev.

There is no harm in helping the person.
THose who have not travelled before may express reservations because of the things they hear and read about. A driver's license is just a plastic ID card. HOlding somebody's ID does not equate to identity theft since you are not claiming you are the person. Put it inside your luggaed or hand bag and nobody will trouble you.
People help others carry things like international passport, certificate etc. Depending on who, people help others carry food stuff, clothese, shoes bags etc. if you know them well enough.
I have helped a female friend (PhD student carry black soap from Naija to South Africa and I have carried food stuff enter Europe.
LIfe is not that hard oo

In your mind, anybody who is not a muslim is automatically a Christian?
Anyone in countries like Sweden, Finland, UK, USA, Australia, Switzerland etc., who is not identified with Islam is automatically a Christian?
Anyway, our desire is that it will be so. We want them to encounter the love of Jesus. But it is not so.
There is no indication whatsoever that this person who burnt a Koran is a Christian.
Logic is supposed to be a compulsory course at some point beyond age 18.

This will further worsen relations between Sweden, turkey and the Muslim countries.

What the world needs right now is rapprochement, detente and entente.

Why did the Swedish government give him the permission to do such thing when they are begging turkey to approve their application to join NATO?

We should be bold enough to condemn Christian extremists
