I understand how you feel. But what is the protest goiing to achieve? . The bandits are nigerias or at least human like us, who have dedicated their lifes to kidnap people for monies. How do u deal with wicked people who wake up every day to kill, kidnap and harm others? There next victims could be you, me or someone we know. Is clear that the government, security agencies cannot secure the forest, hideouts and localities bandits decide to lay arms. We all need to discuss a long term plan, and proffer preventative solution to either avoid kidnapping or mitigate the profit of banditry. Let start first, do you know all the forest in your community? Do you know the exit and extrance? How do you detect strangers that may intend harm? Are there any schools in your community unfenced and near a forest or ungoverned space? Have you alerted your local chairman or the goverment institutiin to prevent any potential invasion? We should be vigilant of one another and not collude with others for money to encourage kidnapping. From the records of past kidnaps. Thoug painful!! Most captives were released by the around 38 to 185 days in captivity. Negotiation is ongoing. The worrying thing is that if those guys are not all eliminated. They move to another community nearby and strike again. The long term solution is to secure ungoverned forest in your states... Las las, We shall overcome bandits and their sponsors. zeuss: |

Amotolongbo:Commendable. I step in the right direction. Knowledge must be ingrained in the aboriginal/native language of the recipient.. Biology, chemistry, Physics, Engineering, AI and financial budgeting is next. We must grow and develop within. |

sreamsense:________________________________________________ HI, I have read your response. I think we must critically appraise some of our practices so that we get better. I believe the author raised a valid question that believers must ponder about..Does religious practices/beliefs in any ramification address any of the problems in our dear nation? For example: 1. Poverty. 2. Corruption. 3, Lack of development. 4. Stagnant mindset. 5. Limitation in problem solving and creativity. 6. Limits reason and seemed to encourage magical thinking, miracles and superstition. 7. Competency? 8. Leadership, accountability and a clear vision. 9. Critical thinking and outcome based on knowledge. No doubt the values or morals contained in any religious books be it Christianity, Islam, Judaims, Hinduism or school of thought such as Buddha as its place. However, the reality is that history shows that empires from the past such as the Abbysinnia , Egypt, Greece, Roman, Ottoman, persia empires were renowned becase their civilisation and influenve wete based on knowledge. Currently, the most developed countries with better economics are based on knowledge.. Science, Technology and Mathematics. The bottom line is that knowledge is superior than faith. Religious beliefs or doctrine should not only be limited to scriptures or historic literature of the past. As a nation we all need to spend more time on acquiring skills that can solve our present challenges, gained technological advancement to reduce poverty. Personally, as a nation deluded by religions doctrine we waste a signifiant amount of time on Fridays and sundays praying to some imaginary being for divine intervention to solve all our problems such mindset is not forward thinking. The Gospel and the salvation of Jesus should be a source of moral guidance. However, personal responsibilty and awareness of problem solving must be a norm. Imagine. If the time or hours millions of faithfuls spend in religions places on fridays and sundays where used in a farm or to acquire some type of skills it will be productive collectively. You can still be a morally upright and be functional member of society without religions indoctrination. No modern progressive country in this current time appoints or elect leaders solely based on their religious indoctrinations. For nigeria as a nation and Nigerians as a people to develop and grow we must value knowledge and competence and encourage people who have qualities to lead in every areas of our institutions. Religion doctrines, programmes, and fanatism is not the remedy for the current challenges of this days. The prophesy and preaching of moses, Jesus, st paul, Mohammed are helpful about the past but the future requires a different stratedy based on knowledge. Please note spiritiality differs from religion. God gives knowledge, understanding and wisdom. We must move ahead with knowledge like any develop country and leave behind ignorance and backward doctrines. |
Man102:_________----_-___________________------____________ This report seems a bit premature. If the Supreme Court judgement was declared July 2024 and the federal government gave a 3 month deadline for issues to be sorted before direct payment into local government account. It follows that the 3 months as not elapsed as at September, when the FAAC Payment was made", Secondly, 3 months from July should end in October 2024. The report does not give any indication when the 3 months grace period was offered by the Federal government? The reporter missed out some crucial information. For example, the statement from the govrt could have been after July when the supreme Court judgement was made. Besides, not all states in the federation has completed or conducted local government election yet as directed by the Court.. Some states are due for elections in November 2024. People live in local areas and therefore development must start from grassroot. People who resides in local government areas know their needs and are better placed to decide and direct the needed development and infrastructure. It creates accountability as the leaders are not detached from the people..A local government chairman that fails to fix a dilapilated school knows the day the roof collapses and causes a casualty, the local mob will be marching to his house to remonstrate. . I believe the autonomy of the local govts is key for accountability, which drives development, competence, transparency and mitigates the tyranny of nepotism and Godfatherism. When you begin to pay tax legitimately you will ensure that an incompetent family member, religious or political associates does not occupy a position of influence and power that ruins your interest and affairs. If every Nigerian was accountable, corruption and incompetence will not be an abstract spirit that cannot be address. Corruption is created and practiced by people. Punish people for their corrupt practices and you mitigate corruption and lack of development. Development starts from the local level. Anything that improves governance and self automomy empowers and impacts the graasroor directly. Local government elections and financial autonomy would no doubt be a mess in the next/first 4 or 6 years.. However, it would eventually come true when it becomes competitive and out of the powers of the state Governors as local government aspirants will be able to lobby for votes on their sef credentials and personal integrity. Slowly and surely we will develop our infrastructure and local government chairman runs its budgets, finds creative ways to generate revenue either by tax or value creation and then uses the income to build local infrastructure such as roads, schools, hopital, farms, youth and sport centres and then specialised on a particular area of advantage. For example, a local government in Delta state seems able to attract females into athletics. I hope as a nation will grow from the local level up!!!! |
[quote author=attackgat What a joke!! You wish self-determination from a current union and you then go to your ex-colonial master after 64 years.. What's the rationale or stratedy for this approach? If you're not able to convince 40 millionplus yoruba people across at least two geopolitical zone to break away from the union either unilaterally or bilaterallly, then you have not sucessfully appeal and done your ground work. You get the buy in of the people, infuence and lead them to your vision. How do you lead when majority of the nation are out of touch with your agitation or objectives/aims? I wish igboho and his cohort well. What a shame he travelled all the well to No 10 and giave his petition to a security guard not even a cabinet member or goverment official.. What's this the expected outcome? What a decision!!! post=132401539]Yoruba Nation Leader, Sunday Igboho, arrived the seat of British Government today, at No 10 Downing Street, to submit a petition calling on the British government to support the independence of the Yoruba ethnic group from Nigeria
|
So, how much did you sell the product to NNPC? I can’t see the actual price in the press statement. Again, I call on Dangote to come out clean. The presidential committee is not the one producing for you. Tell Nigerians directly how much you’re currently selling to NNPC based on the crude you bought in dollars. [/quote Oga, dangote does not have to explain to anybody.. It is a business entity and the curent crude used for the PMS supplied today were bought abroad.with forex. Perhaps after the 1 october2024, when NNPC begins to supply crude to Dangote, the price will be discussed, agreed and disclosed. Besides, dangote can only supply 40 to 45 percent to the nigeria market based on the crude oil supplied by NNPC. So for the business to make profit it must sale at international level.. I guess we should expect to buy about 960 naira pet litre for the next 6months and if trully the four refineries are fixed the prices will fall by April or June 2025 to under 900 naira. Is a free market now.. More investors free to buy the remsining four refineries, fix them and dominant the market in those regions South south and north west. |
Zooposki:Well said, I am shocked that people still believe that some doctrines written in a book by people, who never experienced electricity would solve their current problems in 2024. Knowledge is superior that faith.. Religion... The delusion of the faithful. May reason and common sense save africans.. |
Fairview1:. Well, l always dated slim and well portioned ladies including my ex. My current babe now naa orobo in my view. However, she is a great person and has a good heart.. I dated her cos of her personality and the value she adds to my life. As per weight, l go encourage to loose weight and watch her diet.. Especially weight on stomach.. So my dear, be a great person and you will attract your type.. As per weight.. You will loose it if you want.. Bless you and best wishes. |
adecz:Thank you. We lack problem solving skilks and critical thinking.. Religion and superstitious beliefs gives room to suspicion and blaming others for problems and praying to an unreal or non existent entity to solve problems. The educational systems focuses on how well you speak a colonised or foreign language as opposed to critical knowledge, innovation and creative thinking. Just like the period of enlightment in 18th century Europe that deposed the role of religion and the Royal family, who were seen as head/representative of religions organisation. Probing questions are now being asked by this generation directed at politicians and religious leaders.. It is a gradual awakening that competence and knowledge is superior than faith and religious doctrines written over 1500 years ago.. Wasting money on hagg pilgrimage when mimimum wage cannot be paid.. What a mentality? |
saddler:I tire for africans glory flying other religion, values and culture.. Arguing over nonsense. The pope and Arch bishop of England have moved on with their ideas and beliefs. Africans still dey rely on a book comprised by the Roman Empire when the men who went to Antioch never had sight of electricity and technology. How do you develop in 2024 based on doctrines written over 2000 years ago? |
MT:Indeeed, African is a component in the world. And as you alluded to understanding Gobal affairs begins with addressing your own challenges and putting your house in order. Not getting into affairs you have no influence or control over. I repeat my opinion, yours and any person on this platform is irrelevant and from observation seemed to have caused unneccessary tension, blame and division.. Lets hope it does not lead to fanatic from any of these religion saying words or taking actions that may provoke conflict in our dear country. My point is that rather than argue unwisely with your opponent. Perhaps that energy should be directed in cooperation with others to move your environs/country forward. As to my effort, l encourage you to please join others like yourself, who are well educated, have very insightful and creative perspective to find solution to our numerous challenges. Please note l am not attacking you per se but encouraging you to focus on African matters as a priority. I hope you understand that my intention is not to offend you but to enable a mindset shift from Global affairs dictated by western hegemony that adds no value to our lifes other than division and hate. Stay conscious and curious about african affairs. Stay peaceful and add value.. |
MT:Africans, showing off knowledge on issues that does not concern us.. We need cure to sickle cell, fibroid, diabetes, and high blood pressure, bad roads, poor infrastructure that affect me and you.. Please use your knowledge to proffer solutions to your immediate and remote environment and people.. The three abrahamic religion have deep seated issues that you can never resolve. SO do not invest your energy and emotions belittling your african for matters that adds no value to the continent or the communities we reside in. Stay conscious and curious about african affairs.. |
Those who rejected Jesus Christ and accepted Barnabas will be defeated in war front !![/quote Oga, discover your true identity and defined yourself, beliefs and spiritual growth. All those abrahamic religion are for those people in that region. Find yourself and run your own narrative!!! |
tuzle:____-------__------__-___-----_________-----------______-- My Guy, as Africans please kindly choose, maintain and inflluence your own indigenous traditional religion and beliefs.. The abrahamic religion is native to people in that region and Ziionist from Europe you claimed God promised them a sacred land in Canaan. That believe or assumption whether it is the truth from God or falsificatiom from the Torah remains the bane of conflict and confrontation until today. The war in the middle east would never end.. The state of Isreal seemed powerful now because her allies from Europe and USA are technological advanced. In another 80 years, when another superpower or class of countries are pro palestine and want Jerusalem under an Islamic hegemony then another confict will brew again.. These abrahamic religions are not the first and only religion.. Other religion or belief system are not violent prone and linked to political instability and hate. I rather choose my indigenous belief and live in peace. Stay conscious and be currious about african affairs. Christian and muslim and Zionist and Judaism should learn to live in peace!!! .. |
amaridigital:. My guy, this assumption about Christ dead to save the world need a critical review? Is this a myth based on supposed supestition given the conflict and dysfunctional behaviour in the world? Please take your time and think about this for a moment.. Slavery stopped a while ago and British, the Roman and Ottoman empire collapsed over a century ago!! It means you are born free and should critically think and choose your beliefs, philosophy and shape your global and political perspective. The crisis in the middle east no concern any black or african man.. So called african muslims and Christians investing their emotional energy on issues that do not concern them are unfortunately brainwashed!! Face your own indigenous religion, improve your cultural practice, beliefs and formulate how you wish to treat your fellow african person!! Is Ironic that despite the fact that the three major abrahamic religion comes from that region, it appears the most chaotic and volatile area on earth.. .To be honest, not sure why Christians assume Jesus or naa Yashua died for the sin of man?. For over 2 thousands years now, humans in that region or generally still engrossed with conflicts, sin and chaos over what God said or promised about land!! I tire for that region and their religion!!! The Chinese, Japanese, Singapore, india with a different religion or belief system as well as atheist Europe not keen on religion seemed to be functioning well without these three confused and conflict prone religiion of Judaism, Islam and Christian. I rather stay as a seeker and live in peace than be a religious follower with so much suspicion and hate. I will search for knowledge and growth in my father's traditional religion than these borrowed religion with too much hate.. Stay conscious and curious about african affairs!! |
Mrniceguy007:___-------_____------------------------ Guy, elections are over and a new president is now sworn in.. Indeed we shall hold goverment official accountable.. However, you may like or not like Tinubu for what ever reason, which you are entitled to. Please lets focus on development as we MOVE forward and kindly provide peogressive ideas centred on science, technology, agriculture, medicine, innovation to cure sickle cell, diabetes, stroke and high blood pressure and great business idea to harvest our natural resources such as gold, bitumen, agriculuture and not leave it to the chinese and indians to exploit us.. Create technological tools for defence from bandits and terrorist that you and me at risk of kidnapping from.. Too much concentration on hateful politics and directionless religious beliefs would leave all of us stagnant and mistrustful... Abusing and blaming goverment officials adds no value to anybodies life... I wish you and all nigerians a positive contribution to nation building.. estybae:______________________------------- Thank you for your perspective.. It so painful sometimes that relatives in naija count the years you have left naija and begin to calculate how much you should have made or sent to help them. The lack of human empathy or concern about your welfare is so disturbing. Some people are just ungrateful and bitter when their high demand/expectation is not met.. Entitlement breeds dissapoitment. Parents should train and provide for all wards their equally....Be resposible enough to have kids you can provide for. Poverty is a situation that can be avoided with proper planning.. Health and employment is not guaranteed. Invest or at least take insurance and live within your means.. What's the point having many kids if your and wife cannot provide for them and be responsible for their unkeep. It is very tough like the case in question for older siblings to train themselves and provide for older parents and then train siblings. The Op sister, a female living abroad may not be available to go out and date cos of working long hours to meet family demand. It puts financial pressure on marriages/relationship.. Not sure is appealing to any potential suitor if your other half to be is constantly under pressure to provide for her family..and siblings. I see why abroad people settle down late.. Not married yet look at what the poor lady is subject to.. |
CosmicDust:. You know your sister before she left for canada. I personally appeal to you to try for once to ask her how she is doing? The conversatiin should be about her not demand or burden of naija. I don't doubt your loyalty and support towards your family. You alluded to the fact that she left whatapp group because she felt the demand was too much.. That decision she made must have been painful for her to make. You have not lived abroad. So will respect you don't know how it works.. 60 months is not enough time to settle and l feel you expecting so much from her.. You mentioned her masters was partly paid. Have you clarified if she has clear her debts and have PR.? Is single, kids or planning to buy a house or settle down? Please try a different approach/tone when you appeal to her. If you a younger male sibling talking to older sister.. understand the dynamic as well. No point coming across as dissapointed with her. You make her feel bad and see herself as useful only for money? I think you are under pressure yourself and you seek relief. Be humble enough to tell her that you are struggling and would appreciate her effort. You threaten her over money you will loose her and create a sense of guilt that because your parents paid her masters then she must provide for the whole family. There is financial pressure but you must trust your sister enough to think she means well for you and your family.. Talk to her with concern not with expectations. I wish you the best. All will be sorted. |
CosmicDust:____--------------------------------------------------------- Hi bro, First and foremost. You have to clarify what your sister earns and her expenses. She has only been in Canada for 60 months and you feel she is okay financially. She may not be. She may be struggling financially, emotionally and trying to settle down to clear debts. 2, Secondly, l assume she would assist you and the family if she is stable herself. You alluded that she sends money but the issue is that it is too small. She does not owe you and your parents anything!!! Africans feel entitled and see relationship with children or their siblings as transactional. Address poverty and plan your life and stop relying on others.. It will lead to dissapointment. Is clear that you have never lived on your own, pay rent and bills and also suddenly have to set aside money for others during an emergency. 3, As a young person, take life insurance to protect yourself, that's what many of our parents should do to avoid medical health issues and large bills in older years...Plan your retirement.. 4, God forbid, if your sister dies suddenly or loses her job, you will survive and move on with your life. 5, if you want people to do more for you in life. Be grateful for the little and you get more in return. A positive and agreeable attitude gets you more favours in life. 6, l personally feel with your attitude, high demand and unhappiness. You will do your sister a lot of good/favour. If you indeed distance yourself from her. 7, The question you must ask yourself what value do you add to her life? When did you call her and ask about her welfare, her relationship, how she feels? Her relationship, children and her state of mind? You think she is robot or slave sent to Canada to make your life easy!! THINK RIGHT BEFORE YOU RUIN AND LOOSE YOUR SISTER BECAUSE OF SELFISHNESS. I LIKE TO THINK YOUR PARENTS KNOW THEIR DAUGHTER BETTER THAN YOU. 8, Yes, you are assisting with your younger siblings. Do it with love and no bitterness or comparison. You have not even clarified if your sister has PR to stay and work in canada. You are stressing her out instead of trying to appeal to her. If you continue with your entitlement mentality, keeping grudge over money and imposing HIGH expectations on others without understanding. Then you run the risk of loosing your sister for life. If she gets married or start having children.. I don't think her family will take well to your grievance.. Yes, you are under pressure yourself and need help but stop being demanding and controlling ... Asking for help or support from others is optional not mandatory. Am definitely sure if you change your tone and make her understand that her contributions to the will be appreciated. She will do help. You cannot condemn something people to get the best out of people. You need to build understanding and team work rather than threaten isolation... 9.Before you judge her ask yourself what kind of support does she have in the event of her loosing her job or failing ill? You have a support network in naija and can bounce back by getting support from the community. Abroad people rarely borrow money to anybody or house others when they are homeless. What social network or security does she have in canada? Can she trust you with her finances? 10.Be grateful for what you have and improve your communication and relationship and stop making unreasonable demand or expectation... 5 years in Canada and you expect wonders unless you want to do Yahoo. |

Anglo cameroun is a mess courtesy of the British, who are quick to give unsolicited advice but do not undertstand intricaties and complexities that surround african societies. Let the politicians learn to deal with their grievance in Court and their supporters fight among themselves. The rest of us want peace and a functioning society.. We dont want the British given the l impression that one political party is right or the other is cheated. The British intervention in any country is always damaging. seanwilliam:-(((((())))))))))))))))))))))) Guy, we men have to be honest with yourselves. Speaking from experience never marry your other half if she or he is not self sufficient.. Adexgentle005:. My chairman, i sense from what you saying. The marriage is not the problem but perhaps the lack of suuport, morally, financial and trust from your other half. Two hands is better than one.. Our spouse/other half also need to support and assist one another and not leave all responsibilities to the men. This whole religious doctrine about gender role is not applicable to modern challenges. Jesus, virgin mary and mohammed never had a formal education.. Training and providing education for children and living in a comfortable house costs a lot of financial burden.. The challenges are modern and it requires joint working or else marriage becomes a burden.. Men need support. My bro, keep doing your best and ensure you protect your mental strength. It is well.. We grow together when we all support each other husband, wife, sidechicks and side cock. |
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are having a very challenging period under the tutelage of Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro as they suffered their historic 4th successive defeat on Friday. Naija News recalls that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) appointed the 62-year-old Portuguese coach as the head coach of the Super Eagles on 15 May 2022. Since then, he has helped Nigeria to win just two games, a 2-1 home victory against Sierra Leone in June and a 10-0 victory away against São Tomé and Príncipe in the same month. Before then, coach Jose Peseiro has led the Super Eagles to suffer a 2-1 defeat in a friendly game against Mexico in May, and a 1-0 defeat to Ecuador in a friendly in June. The abysmal performance continued in September when Algeria defeated Nigeria 2-1 in a friendly and then suffered another defeat against Costa Rica in November. Ahead of the Qatar World Cup which Nigeria didn’t qualify for, coach Peseiro flew the Super Eagles to Portugal for a friendly game and the country smashed his team 4-0 in November. Just when Super Eagles’ fans thought the losing streak would end in 2022, coach Peseiro and his supposedly star-studded squad resumed the streak in 2023 when lowly-rated Guinea Bissau came to visit on Friday, March 24. Before the visit, Guinea Bissau played Nigeria once and it ended in a victory for the Super Eagles. Hence, Victor Osimhen-led attack was expected to demolish their visitors in Abuja but the reverse was the case. For the first time in the history of Guinea Bissau, the 118th-ranked team defeated Nigeria. Not only that, they defeated the 35th-ranked team in Abuja 1-0 to top their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification table. It also made it the first time in the history of Nigeria that the country suffered four straight defeats. As it stands, the Super Eagles of Nigeria are a point behind Guinea Bissau which means that they have to defeat the country on Monday, March 27 in Bissau to stand a chance of qualifying for the 2024 AFCON in Ivory Coast. Notwithstanding, the performance of Jose Peseiro since he took charge of the Nigerian team has shown that he does not have enough tactical know-how to handle the highly talented squad. Hence, urging the NFF to let him go after the game on Monday wouldn’t be out of line. Source: https:///Jose-Peseiro-Has-Led-Super-Eagles-Of-Nigeria-To-Record-Making-Four-Straight-Defeats[/quote (--__-----____________--_ Nothing positive will come from hiring foreign european coaches without improving grass root football in nigeria, and upskilling and training our people as coaches and technical advisors..
