Hi, Is good to hear you thinking about getting married, having children, and maintaining a family.. However, the questions you must ask yourself is if your character and that of the person you intend to marry will substain you both throughout you growth,challenges and tribulation? .. You have to be discerning because your love or ethnic consideration is not enough for a marriage to work.. Please settle down with someone you trust, respect and who protect your interest no matter what.. A consistent character trait prevails over Love, a feeling that is fleeting.. .. If you broke or unemployed today can the love between you and your proposed fiance last? As per genotype, science may be of assistance... There is no guarantee that if you married an AA person she will conceive and have healthy children? Fertility and heath issues are a risk.. You do have the ability to marry and settle down with an As person you deeply desire and happy with. What you need to do is go for regular pre-pregnacy check of the unborn child or embryo before the baby develops fully. It may be a traumatic experience for you or the mother to terminate the foetus or unborn if is unhealthy. . However, health and scientific discoverery gives the opportunity to scrutine and preempt health complications.. It is likely to be financiallly costly and not available in every hospital. However, it saves you from getting with the wrong person and having children with someone you dont desire.. Your decision now determines your future happiness and stability in your relationships.. My guy, just to let you know that government is a reflection of the mindset, beliefs, values and thought process of the society. It is a mirror of all people. An incompetent government equals weak people that want to be led. ... A Progressive government equals a developing, curious, proactive citizens or followers. . The day you, l, and everybody take responsibility for solving our problems individually and collectively than we shall all appreciate that problems are meant to be solved. We then value knowledge based on critical thinking and evidence and ensure competent people ran our affairs.. Most people are emotionally driven, hence why superstition and quest for quick blessings is prevalent in religious centres. In addition, in the western countries. Most people are not religions rather they are spiritual driven with discipline, purpose and good morals.. What's t the point being a religions person but you cannot be trusted with other people's money, business or interest. As Africans, we are gradually beginning to question and evaluate the things we do, practice and imitate. . The Europeans reached that era, it was called the period of Enlightenment hence why there was several revolutions in France, Russia, Sweden and Holland, which eventually separated religious institutions from the affairs and running of Political government. I wish the Africans coaches well and hope there are able to work with local coaches on a football formula that is unique to a region, club or country.. The Dutch football philosophy is different from Spain, Brazil, or Croatia.. However, something is clear from this game and Senegal game that football is not just physical attributes, skills. You require tactics and psychologically awareness as well especially when your opponent exploits your area of weakness. Cameron team lacked basis football principles.. Polygamy as long as it is agreed is just another type of relationship by functional consenting adults.. What is wrong is fake monogamy forced by religions beliefs, insecurity, or modernity.. Even worse is serial monogamy camouflage as love, then one person is cheating or unhappy but staying in the marriage because of children, society or financial security.. Even in the older days when polygamy was rife, a significant amount of people choose monogamy.. I feel the emphasis should be on genuine communication and committed relationship by all parties whether polygamy or monogamy.. These days people don't marry in the so called western Christian countries.. The concept of family structure is gradually breaking kdown because children are born with no idea of parental role or family structure.. At least in monogamy or polygamy it consists of a male that is involved with a female/s.. Let's not be too quick to condemn our culture that still offersr the family of the bride some respect and carry out marriage rituals.. I feel the welfare of children must be priority in a polygamous relationship so there is no jealousy or unfair treatment... If female empowerment increases perhaps the practice may fade gradually... In the Western t countries, nothing stop the man from being a player, the girl dem sugar, a generous giver or sperm donor to all.. The concept of marriage and MONOGAMY is eroding in western Christian countries and moving towards cohabitation and partnership... Let's correct and evolve our culture and not condemn it entirely.. In a polygamous family, you know everybody.. No side chicks or outside pikin. The popularity of polygamy will reduce if women decide having a child or getting married is not a necessity.. Until then, you have a population of 4 women to 1 man.. The most able and high value men will always have more options of women.. It is just fact of nature.. Even oyinbo men dey do affairs, Boris Johnson just born recently from his third baby mama, new wife.. The only difference is that the system does not allow official sharing of couples.. I think as we grow we must be prepared to face critical questions such as these.. The more Humans being advance in meeting their needs psychological, happiness, and social demand as human beings, you begin to ponder, who is more relevant to my existence a fellow human being or an imaginary supernatural being that may or may not exist? There are no definite answers to many questions around, God, religion and supernatural existence but be prepared to deal with these investigation, questioning in future from people particularly the younger generation, who are knowledge driven.. It is part of our evolution and societal development.. People read the Bible but forget the historical influence of the roman empire, Greek philosophy and traditional practices and norms that contributed to that beliefs... If jesus and St Paul was alive in 2022 taking account of modern inventions:science, technology and conflict resolutions mechanism would their beliefs and core teachings be the same as it was in ancient times? |

It is much easier to change local practices that are inimical to growth because the experiences are local and decision makers are participant... No doubt some of our traditional beliefs were or are still harmful but a critical appraisal would have come from within either through generational change, war or some form of rebellion.. The Oyo empire had check and balancing process to check the Alaafin.. Those abrahamic religions beliefs may have provided meaning over a 1000 year ago for their Jewish, Arabs and Roman people but well developed countries understand that religion and spiritual affairs are just one aspect of life.. We do our self a disservice as Africans thinking your beliefs in God solves all problems.... The purpose of man, my and your existence is to think, innovate and proffer solution to modern problems through science, research, living in peace and understanding ourself and environment..Religions doctrines in my opinion are just not compatible with modern and current prevailing challenges... Your spiritual growth/journey should be a private matter between you and your maker and the direction you get should be based on your conscience, mind and motivation to be a better person... We all need to grow and develop in other aspect of life.. For example, your health and understanding your genetic health risk, financial managemt, happiness and emotional welfare, people management and conflict resolution, self growth, training and edutional are other aspect of life that requires attention not just religion beliefs... Many of our people are too emotional with negative vibes, lack critical thinking and cannot solve problems without wicked method.. Every developed nations have evolved and understand the importance of collecting evidence, establishing facts first before conviction, not just relying on feelings, gossips, or superstition, before reaching a conclusion.. We still have a lot to learn about our negative emotions and that not all thoughts in our mind are true... Borrowed religions beliefs compounded with traditional practices that accuses without providing facts is an hindrance to our development.. How do we treat other people that are disadvantaged by age, physical attributes, gender, health or vulnerability? We should remember that the older you become you likely to suffer from memory loss, emotional and mental disorder? As a people we should do more to understand these health issues, dementia, learning difficulties, down syndrome, rather than rely on religions or superstition for clarity and meaning to things.. Africas need continued education into science of the mind, body and how treat and relate with others... We alll need exposure and collective perspective in reaching conclusion.. Most importantly there must be strong sanctions for people that lack emotional control, ignore legal conflict resolution mechanisms to authorise the killing of another person regardless of the accusation... People are too wicked and prone to engage in cruel activities withing consideration if the victim is innocent... I hope one day pastors, religions clerics, and people in power either local babalawos or head of a community, who accuses people of witchcraft or crimes without evidence are prosecuted and made an example of... |

Jennygold111:. Good morning Jenny Gold, I am not an atheist but am not religious.. I like to think I find meaning in my life in my spiritual growth and understanding. I may not relate with your experience directly but I can share similar suspicion and misunderstanding from family and religions people who fail to see when you are coming from.. I think you don't need to explain to anybody. Something l recently realise that works is to leave/avoid religious people to live in their delusion/way of thinking. Do not challenge their view or perspective of coping with life. . I go to church when invited by friends, l see it as a social gathering same as my Muslim friends who invite to me. But I don't engage or believe in any dogma or rituals such as miracles, prayer and those negative prophecy or revelation... Mynd44:Too early to praise the sport ministry, but we can encourage it to do better.. Remember most of the medals well down to individual efforts.. We need the states and most importantly the private sector to fund sporting actitivies with of course government intervention. We will do better if we have systems in place so if Sunday Dare leaves the processes continues.... |

We do not want a situation whereby this man hurt himself or somebody because of deceit he has discovered in his wife. We must encourage no infidelity in any relationship either by the man or woman. Or at least be honest with your partner if choose to have multiple relationship with others... The bottom line is that If you ask some women, then will like to explore or engage in some sexual relation with others... When you find the truth, let them free. You must decide if she fully understand the impact of her actions, and consequences on yourself and the effect on the marriage.. She seems to be doing hook up or sex talking for money? . So your financial stability as a union must be explore? Should this be a team effort or just you to provide? Is she cheating because of money or getting attention or affection outside and want to explore her sexual urges with another person? ... If she is willing to compromise on the vow and do the dirty while you are still able to work.. Then think about what will she do when you are unemployed or disabled? ..Economic hardship is not reason for cheating, it just shows it was married to you for comfort and financial security.. Integrity, honesty, trust are key characteristics you must watch out for. As per your 4 daughters, you can co- parent with her... Both of you will equally train and provide for the young children.. She contributes half the school fees you do half. Not sure of your accommodation situation?.. If she decides to give you full custody of the kids then fine but never prevent her from seeing her children. The bottom line never stay in a relationship with someone you cannot trust because of the children. Forgive her if she shows genuine remorse, gets a job, and work on her mistake.. However, if you feel she is deceitful, untrustworthy and cannot be relied on.. Then you have to decide what is best for you and your life.. Make sure you protect your mental health... Anything over 150 metres places pressure on the body and wear and tear happens with age... Forgot government patronage, the private sector or a percentage dedicated to sporting activities is the only well to guarantee consistent performance.. |

I saw flavour ofili run the 400 metres relay final and took gold in the under 20 championship in Kenya last year.. They are many people who are capable but it takes a torn on your body as you grow older and begin to pick up injuries... So the right health system and physio therapy matters.. It all comes down to funding.... Bostwana has a dedicated sport and youth development centred on medium distance running since they discovered Nigel Amos and moestho... They are the best in 200, 400, and 800 metres... Senegal too has a youth and medium distance running centre.. Nigeria just need to concentrate and specialise on one thing.. Delta state seems to have focused on sprints with the discovery of blessing okaghbare and Ese... . . Bayesa.. With igali in. Wrestling.. Edo.. Althetes... The private sector and communities must decide to collectively fund sport and training for our youths....The UK used national lottery fund to sponsor sport, athletics and pay professional athletes ... .. I guess we can collectively donate or fund a sporting council or agencies that sponsor young sporting professionals.. Most times an athlete gets injured and they're left on their own... The private sector can capitalise on sport just like nollywood or music or entertainment. 1 Like |
