Report to their support. They'd rectify it. I've had similar issue and that was what I did.

The 'others' you have in mind don't take the risk of registering, renewing and advertising your suggested names.

Are you sure you are following? The names I listed what are they doing? They don't advertise the names? You've not been seeing the Alter logo with the superman vest in ads? That's not enough or good for you? 10 percent is not better for you? You prefer they register and give you 25 percent than they accept and suggest you register and you get 90 percent? For real? Does this make any sense?

No others? BB, Brandpa, Namefreak and Alter.com that takes only 10% and not only do they design logos, they do the description and classification and you can as well list in other places (though the DNS have to be pointed to their site and the price in other places is not lower than their own). SH is simply capitalising on the large market they control.

There is nothing wrong with been bitter, reason determines its legitimacy. There are too many services that requires payment on their part that makes you wonder what the hell is happening. I think they are greedy. 40% or even 50 wouldn't be bad for unregistered. And if it must be 25, do a description like others are doing and categorize it as well. That wouldn't hurt.

Agreed, the commission (on SH's part) seems on the high side. But that's how they choose to run their business. Are there any alternative platforms (that accept unregistered names, register, and when it sells give you a cut)? NO!

on a single name if sold, you make over 200k in naira without much work., you are ranting, you for kuku collect the whole money na. What if they reject the name, and yet went ahead at your back and register it like netsol team, will you know?

You have 3 good years to seat and see if the name sold. With over 40,000 SH own names, they pay over $320k every year to renew if not sold. How much is their annual profits? haba!.. Its like you are very new in this business and want to have all the profits.

How many other market expose your domain to the world like this SH in all fairness ? Even brandbucket put most of your names down below where many people wont see. unless you have gems? Why ? they have thousands of names belonging to their sponsors and their cliques.
You want to eat your cake and have it. Human being are insatiable. Next time, any name you think what it, register it and submit it to them and see how far you can go..

I understand how you feel. What happens if the names doesn't sell within a year or more(which is often the case), the burden of renewal falls on SH(for SH owned name). It's a fair deal if you ask me and moreover you have the option to register it your self.

I applied for both options but they choose to reg it. I've moved on.

You should not be hoping one topples the other you should be hoping they can all thrive so that you can make a sale on SH today, Alter tomorrow and BrandBucket the day after tomorrow. No matter the commission rate.

If I have a selfish mentality then you have a slavish mentality. SH can't even come up with a logo after how many days of accepting the name. I have to pay a dollar to have a team put it in the right section. This is something alter does for free. Typical slave mentality. Since you are helping us you can step on us.

Throw away that mentality of a slave. How can 25 percent be fair to you and you put it up to marketing? Jump down from that slave ship. You think people are stupid and will remain with such business model? Why do you think SH now sends update on rejected names? It's either they get reasonable or they fall.
