My money disappeared without a trace and they refuse to do anything about it.

The money appears in my statement of account but does not appear in my account balance.

My advice: It's better to submit details you can defend if needs arise, except you are ready to forfeit your hard earned money.
Instead of struggling with Tax Forms (Substitute Form W9), Social Security Number (SSN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN) to add a dollar bank account from Grey to Afternic, why not simply add the pound (UK) bank account that won't require all these details, and as a non-US resident? With the UK bank account, you can submit your real names, Nigeria phone number and use bank's address as the beneficiary's address.

Yep......your account is nigerian..it's only your payment method that's different that's why afternic leaves space for name incase you want someone else to receive payments for you... Only issue they would have is if you don't own the domains you put there
