Don’t you know that Rest is equivalent to Death? Look around you in Nature, do you see anything at rest? Everything is in perpetual motion because Motion is a Law of Creation. Even the trees and stones that appear to be static or in permanent rest have constituents that are in constant motion within them. So, when you tell the departed to Rest In Peace, you’re actually cursing them or wishing them ill….because Nothing is at rest in the entire Creation!
So, don’t ask Tinubu to go and rest pls….the moment he chooses to rest, he’s as good as dead. He should keep running around and employing his faculties until the end when he’s called away.….and even after that he should wish to continue to engage in some spiritual activity in the Beyond. That is the right prayer!
