ell77: Important information on switching from a Tier 4 or Student category into Tier 2
Here are some notes from you summarised by DegreeAngel UK Ltd:
- Tier 1 (Post Study) work visa closed to new applicants on 5 April 2012.
- However, new provisions are available under Tier 2 for recent graduates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or PhD from a UK recognised or listed body.
- As per the normal Tier 2 requirements, applicants must have a job offer and be paid at least £20,000 (which most graduate roles do) or the minimum appropriate rate set out in the relevant Code of Practice.
- A Resident Labour Market Test (RLMT) will not be required and jobs will not be subject to the annual limit on Tier 2 numbers (i.e. CoS will be in the Unrestricted category) - this is an important development in your favour! It means you will not be sidelined for a home graduate! smiley
- Tier 4/student migrants will be able to switch into Tier 2 once they have been awarded their qualification and must switch into Tier 2 before their Tier 4/student visa expires.
- As now, those who wish to switch from Tier 4 to Tier 2 may start work as a student if their Tier 4 leave is still valid and allows them to work but should not be offered a permanent contract until the Tier 2 application is approved.
- Migrants using this route will continue to be able to sponsor dependants. Please note however that dependants of Tier 4/Student migrants who switch to become Tier 2 migrants in their own right will be subject to the annual limit and will require a Restricted CoS to apply for leave.

The Tier 2 route provides leave to remain for three years with the option to extend for a further two years if still employed by a Tier 2 sponsor. This also benefits companies who wish to develop and retain top talent.

Sure you can withdraw some money for your flight, they don't monitor your account until you get to the UK, the 7200 pounds is your money to use in the UK, whatever you do with it is your business

You don't need any yellow fever, if at all you need one it will be carried out at the POE, i doubt UKBA will trust any yellow fever paper you brought from Nigeria since we are good at forging anything.

Hold your CAS letter, bank statement (the one you submitted during visa application) in case you are asked.

My brother completed his Masters in RGU last year. He was sponsored by a company that is not a multi national company, and i have visited the UK before with this company's full sponsorship. I believe what the UK embassy pple need is a genuine proof that you can pay and take care of your self while you study. I made will be going for my Masters this September. Am praying and fasting for good result. Still waiting 4 d 15 working days. Remember God is the key to all success. Anybody going to southwales holla @ me. honey86: You guys should ask your bank for FORM A, that was wat I used to pay my school fees, I paid 14k at once from a naira account. You need to ask your school for their bank transfer details for transfer. I used fcmb though.

I opened my dorm account with £100.....I bought £1-256. When I paid my application fee and reservation fee, I used my naira account and the rates were 243/£ and 249/£. My question is what is d difference between using a naira account and a dorm account cause with a naira account, u get to save and is it only transfer u can carry out with a dorm account, can't u use ur atm mastercard(dorm acc) the same way u use ur naira mastercard to pay ur school fees? For example if one wants to pay a sch fees of £18,700, u buy £1 for 256 but if the money is in ur naira account, and u're lucky, d rate for that day can be £243-250. I hope you understand my questions.

Sadly I have only 4000 pounds in my account so I'm 2200 short and my dad mainly makes use of his company's account as his personal account and I don't think he has another account. And it's too late for him to transfer money to my account since I'll have to wait another 28 days before I can apply again, 15 working days before the visa comes out and my resumption date is September 14. My dad has also provided a letter stating that he has allowed me to make use of the funds as well as stating that he's my sponsor. He also plans to provide my birth certificate as well. Should we just take the risk and proceed........

lopmaidx: I hav booked my appointment 4 mon d 19th.I have d complete funds @ N250 to a £ and has spent d 28 dayz bt am scared dat on d 19th it shuldn't be more than N250 or I would fail on d 10 points 4 maintenance. I've also filled the forms and have all my necessary documents ready. I'm 18 by the way and got admission into the university of Manchester. Is there a chance of a refusal.........please can someone help me out here.....

As of today, I was quoted 248 naira to buy a pound [243 if I was selling] by my aboki currency dealer
My current account reference issue has cleared and I'm about to open a dom acct
Would have loved to open a dollar denominated one only that it won't fly because I'm going to transact in pound sterling
I still don't get why I can only do dollar transactions with a dollar acct, Euro txns with an Euro acct etc.
