Here’s a chieftain of APC admitting the masses are not with the party anymore. He went further to say that PDP will sweep the entire NW excluding Kano (says Kwankwaso will win here) & majority of the NE & NC. He went further to say that despite Wike’s tantrums PDP will sweep the SS while APC takes the SW.

Sen Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso will not be attending the engagement with Arewa Elders Forum. According to a letter signed by his campaign spokesperson, @AbdulAbmJ, the process has being infiltrated by some interests and the event will be used to endorse a particular candidate from the North.

Also, the event has clashed with his planned schedule, and the event was shifted to this date to coincide with a particular candidate’s campaign in Kaduna, where the engagement is happening.

PoliticsNigeria Needs A Pan-Nigerian President, Not Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba Leader – Atiku by SATANICALLY666(op): 9:19pm On Oct 15, 2022
Nigeria needs pan-Nigerian president, not Yoruba, Igbo, or Hausa-Fulani leader – Atiku

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has said that Nigeria needs a president that is ready to give his all to the entire nation and not one that displays nepotistic tendencies.

He also said a credential of national inclusivity, not ethnicity, should be an ideal that the Northern part of the county should examine in electing a new president for the country in the February 2023 presidential election.

Atiku made the remarks when he featured as a guest of the Arewa Joint Committee interactive sessions alongside other presidential candidates from other political parties on Saturday in Kaduna.

The session, which took place at the Arewa House, was attended by high-ranking leaders of various Northern Nigeria-based socio-cultural bodies.

The interactive session was organised by several groups, including the Arewa Consultative Forum, Arewa House, Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, Northern Elders Forum and Arewa Research and Development Project, among others.

At Saturday’s event, Atiku noted that with a political career that spans over 30 years, he stands shoulder-high as a Nigerian of Northern descent who has built bridges of unity across the country.

“I have been in politics for more than three decades and I am a Northerner,” said Atiku. “So, if you ask me why I am the best candidate to lead Nigeria in 2023, I will simply say that what Nigeria needs is a pan-Nigerian president, not whether he is Yoruba, Igbo, or Hausa-Fulani.”

Atiku, while delivering his speech at the event, highlighted the key policy agendas which he seeks to pursue if elected president to include promoting national unity through deliberate actions that will secure mutual trust and confidence amongst all tendencies.

The other policy areas that Atiku enumerated are reforms in education, Agriculture, and reversing the economic downturn of the country.

In a related development, the Kaduna State chapter of the PDP has rescheduled the planned consultative visit of the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku, and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa, to Kafanchan earlier scheduled for Sunday, October 16, 2022.

In a news release signed by the chairman of the chapter, Hassan Hyat, the party explained that the visit was postponed following consultations with political stakeholders and religious leaders of the zone wherein the stakeholders resolved that a new date would be most suitable for the planned visit.

“The PDP regrets any inconveniences this change might cause and assures the good people of Southern Kaduna of Atiku’s commitment to meeting with the leaders and people of the zone as soon as a new and convenient date is fixed,” the statement partly read.

PoliticsNo Peter Obi Didn’t Call APC A Yoruba Party - Fact Check By The Cable (Throwback by SATANICALLY666(op): 7:29pm On Oct 08, 2022
A statement attributed to Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra state, saying the All Progressives Congress (APC) is a Yoruba political party has been circulating online.

On Tuesday, Obi, who joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential race in 2019 as Atiku Abubakar’s running mate, said he would be running for president if his party zones the ticket to the south.

The declaration generated mixed reactions on social media.

Some social media users later quoted him to have said the ruling party belongs to an ethnic group.

“The All Progressive Congress Is A Yoruba Party- Peter Obi, ” the viral quote read.

The statement was circulated on Facebook and Twitter with some users calling Obi “a bigoted politician”.

VERIFICATION

Online checks of previous statements made by Peter Obi showed that the presidential aspirant did not make such a statement.

A keyword internet search by TheCable gave no result on where or when he made the statement, and none of the users who posted the quotes indicated their source(s).

When TheCable contacted Valentine Obienyem, Obi’s spokesperson, he said his principal did not make the viral statement.

“Not at all! Oga did not say such a thing. It’s political opponents that are putting up such propaganda,” Obienyem said.

VERDICT

There is no evidence that Peter Obi said APC is a Yoruba political party.

PoliticsAPC Crisis: We'll Lose 2023 Presidential Poll If... - Chairman Adamu Warns by SATANICALLY666(op): 5:53pm On Oct 05, 2022
National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has said the party would lose the 2023 presidential poll without the support of governors who are members of the party.

Adamu spoke at the opening session of a meeting of governors, National Working Committee (NWC) and other stakeholders at the party’s national secretariat on Wednesday in Abuja.

Recall that APC governors were reportedly aggrieved over the composition of the party’s presidential campaign council, released recently by the Secretary of the Council, James Faleke.

Following their grievances, the Director General of the Campaign Council and Plateau State governor, Simon Lalong, postponed the kick-off of the party’s presidential campaign, saying the move was to allow room for inclusion of more party chieftain in the Council.

At Wednesday’s meeting, Adamu said, “Being the chief executive officers of their various states, the onus of our great party lies in the hands of God and in their hands because they are the commanders of the party fortunes in their various states.

“We cannot make meaningful progress in the affairs of these states, particularly in an election year that is approaching. We cannot plan without the buy-in of our governors so that we can stand together, believing that we share same aspirations.

“We will plan together to see how best we can deliver the interest of the party and ensure that victory is ours in 2023 general election that is by the corner. That is the essence of this meeting.”

Speaking during the event, the Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council and Plateau State governor, Simon Lalong, said Adamu called for the meeting to discuss issues related to the progress of the party.
