After going through all the screening stages and the parking stress, i finally entered around 8: 25am and my interview was for 8am but men, see crowd. May God heal our land. Guys are moving out!!!!

Now to my transcript, being my 3rd attempts, two was in 2011 as a single guy going through F1 and today as a married man with my wife and 4 year old son wanted to go through B1/B2.

the interview went thus, shortly before us, young couple newly married i guess were denied and then our turn, one black American lady in window 7 actually interviewed us.

vo: good morning
me & wify: good morning ma
vo: is that your son
me: yes
vo: stretched to see his face from her desk
me: i then lifted him up, carried him in my hands all through the process
vo: why do you want to go to the us?
me: we are going for family vacation
vo: you mean pleasure?
me: yes, pleasure.
vo: where are you going in the us
me: we are visiting Disneyworld, Orlando, FL
vo: have you travelled before
me: no, due to my work load and its nature, its been difficult to go on any family vacation
vo: where do you work?
me: i work bla bla bla
vo: you mean bla bla
me: yes ma, bla bla
vo: whats your grade level
me: i said 10
vo: typed for a while and then turned to my wife
vo: madam, where do you work?
wify: i work bla bla as accountant
vo: you mean you are and accountant
wify: yes, i am, i help in preparing staff salaries and takes schedules to the bank
vo: whats your grade level
wify: level 12
vo: typed for a while and then said sorry, unfortunately your visa can not be granted, then handed us the blue paper.

i discovered that i actually made one silly mistake, in my ds 160, i filled my salary to be 320k while that of my wife was 285k but during interview her grade level as 12 while i said mine is 10 yet we both work with parastatals under FG.

now, my question is:
how soon can we re-apply and what do you suggest i do in case of next time?

Am a silent reader I read from part 1 to 3, its actually not easy but it was fun. At times I will read and be scared, at times I will laugh out loud all by myself. But truthfully I learned a lot from different transcripts here. So I decided to share mine.
The interview was scheduled for 9am. My husband, myself and my 2 boys. We got there by 7. The tension was so much especially when we saw so many people denied. The interview goes thus:
V.o: can I av ur passport
Me: Gd morning ( passed d passport)
v.o : What are you going to do in Rolando florida?
Me: we are going to visit disneyworld for family vacation
V.o : what do u do ( she faced me)
Me : I am bla bla I work with bla black
V.o : what are ur specialties
Me : I started blowing grammar. ( no oyinbo can know my work pass me so the v.o cuts in)
V.o : do u av any other kids
Me: no
V.o : (turns to my husband) what do u do?
Hussy: I am bla bla
V.o : which company?
Hussy mentioned it
v.o : what does the company do ( hussy explained)
V.o : how long av u been working with them
Hussy: 11years. ( the v.o asked again after some seconds)
V.o: how long are u staying
Both: 7days
V.o : any travel history?
Both: no
V.o: do u plan to av another kid or are u pregnant?
Me: no
V.o : what if u change ur mind because every woman will like to give birth to girl.
Me: (very serious at this time) ( for my mind : what do u mean?) We agreed to av two so we are okay with them. Thanks
V.o : if u get pregnant will u like to give birth on d u.s
Me : not at all. I am a very busy person and I can't leave my job and my families.
V.o : she asked again. How long do u intend to stay?
Both : 7 days
V.o: Gave out the white paper and said ur visa has been approved. pick up ur visa...... I no hear again.

The best help I can give you is to tell you to research bro. Even me that has a visa and practically live here, I stood the thread with my friend that got her visa. No be wickedness. Na make u get the visa I want.

5. Desicion on B visas are made on ties. However if theres anything in your past application that touched your integrity, then yes, it could affect your chances

Congratulations to everyone who got their visas through the help of all the God sent helpers on here.

I have few questions as am approaching my interview date.

1. Since i will be appearing with my wife and soon to be four year old son, what are relevant questions to be looking forward to from the VO
2. does my wife needs a letter of introduction or leave approval letter from her place of work?
3. do i also need to go with any letter from my work place being a Fed worker as we are going for family vacation since our individual office approved our leave
4. we all have virgin passports, that is, no travel history, hope that wont be a barrier?
5. I was denied twice in year 2011 though, i was a bachelor then and i applied for F1 visa since i intended to go through school, hope this wont affect my chances?

i was able to do the correction today through the feedback comment section and the customer service phone-in option, i did both and behold they corrected the mistake. they have assisted me in adding the correct ds-160 numbs for my wife and son to our interview appointment details. I cant thank you guys enough!

I intend to proceed on my family vacation trip on 22nd March, 2018 but my visa interview date as of now is 12th March, 2018. I hope the two dates are not too close?

Okay, fill the form for them both, have their DS160 number and passport numbers handy, then proceed to call this number tomorrow; 014406218 or reach them through Feedback button, it is fixable by them, worry less.

absolutely i got to this page, what i did was to insert all the three MVR numbs and also filled our individual passport details but put my own ds160 numb on all the three instead of putting it individually but i put mine for the three.... thats the problem am trying to correct now boss

Did you reach and fill this page while booking the appointment? Or did you get to the page where you had to input ALL three MRV fee number on same page before finally booking the appointment? Or you did the booking separately, one after the other?

Your question has been answered already....The Nos for the embassy and their service times is on the website.

I hope others will learn from this and READ the whole US website and the instructions clearly there before applying

And if they are not, you can sort it out on your own by editing the DS160 number on their individual profile before printing or reprinting the appointment details.

Whichever option works for you, you first have to fill their personal/individual DS160 before attempting to do the corrections, you actually need that number to forge ahead any further.... Regards!

have been clicking on the family link but not responding and have already booked for the appointment, what else can i do please? can i edit my appointment and start all over again so as to enable me put their various ds 160 form numbers?

haven't tried this, Just taking a guess....

fill the ds160 form for your family members respectively

go to your profile where you scheduled appointment, you should see a family link there. open it and see if you can add their details, provided you have paid their visa fees together with yours.

Dear Lady G, Seyewest and other gurus in the house,

am at a cross road, i succeeded in filling my ds 160 form last night and booked appointment with same. While booking the appointment, innocently i did not fill DS 160 for my dependants, that is, wife and son and instead i put my own ds 160 number in the spaces i ought to put theirs and went ahead to summit, now that i heard i ought to have filled ds160 for them, how do i make this correction considering the fact that have already secured appointment date.

am trying to book an appointment for visa interview now and while filling the online form, its asking for ds160 number for my spouse, am i to fill a separate ds160 form for my wife and son or i should put my own there since i already mentioned their details while completing my ds160 form.

more than grateful... hence, do i need to attach passport photograph when filling it and how do i add my family members to the form or will i fill a separate form for them?

Please i tried filling my DS-160 now but to my surprise, i keep getting session time out even before completing the first page.... what could be the reason please? have printed more than 6 application id thinking i would complete it and then move on to submission before booking a date for interview. but the page keeps closing up right from first page.

Yes you need to fill a new ds160 for each person and for every applicant.

Hence, we have virgin passports.... Hope that wont be an issue?
