Abeg Okrika for new born baby is a no no even if it's first grade. You can go to PEP stores, the new born clothes are cheap there.
A woman brought 1st grade clothes for her new born baby at the hospital where I gave birth, the nurses seized it, called her hubby to come immediately. When he came, he said his wife collected enough money and wasn't aware of the okrika.
The woman wasn't even ashame to say Okrika is tested and trusted over the years that the new ones don't last.

My lo is just 3months, above 8kg but wears 6-12months / 8-10kg wears. Trust me, I bought 10-12kg wears. It's called 'bambe' strategy. lol
I'd advise you buy very few wears for the 1st 1months, you wont know how big your baby will be.
For instance, as a ftm, I bought newly born wears, I'd think it was for teddy bears but I gave birth to 4kg baby. I had to buy new clothes from the hospital

First I'm happy lo is weighing with the EBF though people around are saying am suffering lo with the ebf no water no formula. At 7weeks, he was 5.3 now 7.4kg at 11weeks. Abeg make una clap for me, vigilante no easy. Lol
Yes, I learnt about family planning and cervical cancer -What killed Dora Ahkuyili.
We were advised to come for cervical screening. It's for female who is sexually active, married or single. The cancer eats up the womb's neck and just like Aids, it can kill but early detection saves life.

sorry there. You don't have to bf lo in the usual cradle way. For CS patient, place lo face towards your breast and lo other body part out on a pillow. In that position, your tummy wont come close to lo. You can google it

pjthatcher imagine what your onion lecture got me into. Lo has colic. Down to the market in search of yellow Onions. Chai come see eyes wey some take look me after saying they didn't have. One of them asked what I wanted to use it for and I replied for Colic. She quired if I actually meant 'alubosa elewe and explained yellow onion is very scarce that only herbalists request for it.
I didn't bother what they used it for. I quickly removed my slippers, put it under armpit and ran as fast as my tiny legs could carry me out of Mushin market

This hot water massage issue hope am not guilty of it because i stopped massaging the navel when it closed up. Now lo is 11weeks and has big navel but softens when hungry

Lawvlpearl congrats. Bm is based on demand and supply. As baby sucks it will supply more. Just make sure baby empties the milk and alternate to other breast. To boost the supply -Give the baby to suck frequently, the supply will be constant. Have skin to skin with your baby. With only diaper on, let him lie chest down on your bare chest. It will stimulate the milk to be supplied. Eat vegetable, drink more of pap, water, tea and anything that can be easily converted to water. - Sleep well. Sleep deprivation and stress can reduce breastmilk. Believe you can do ebf even with triplet only that ebf is time consuming. Pls don't give water till 6months rather formula is okay

Go for family planning except you're good in withdrawal method. Ovulation comes before menstruation so once ovulation occurs pregnancy can stay

what I gathered so far about inu iwo is that it takes up to one month for a baby girl, 3months for a baby boy to settle. it's as a result of the lungs and intestine that want to position. I can massage the tummy with warm water or press the abdomen down, the baby will relax and pass gas. This is to help those looking for tips also

I've read the last 4pages to brush up the latest and I've learnt few though I am looking for how to solve 'inu iwo' in new born baby.

Concerning food matter, we're told at clinic not to give our babies and toddlers Peak 123 as it contains lots of sugar per tin which causes diabetes in children. They recommended Nan as one of the best for 9ja babies, SMA, Frisolac, Nutriend... but My Boy isn't of good quality but people buy it because it's cheap. Cerealac is recommended for us and it doesn't require milk because the right quantity is added. Also they said Golden Morn is for children from age 3 up but we make the mistake of giving the under 3.

Baby March is just 8weeks so I can't introduce all the food discussed. I'm running a course by July or October so he'll start daycare by then and can introduce some food while I'm gone

The pressure of the heat will be direct. It's to make the swollen part come to normal and if one has tears, it will heal immediately. The nurse said the loosen vj during the delivery will be tight and I confirm it.

I'm a ftm o. I was doing kegel exercise at pregnancy. Though no tear but the two labia swelled after delivery. For a week I soaked soft towel inside hot water, placed it in between vj and tightened. Blood stopped exactly a week. When you massage tummy everyday morning and night, thick blood will evacuate. It helps in quick recovery. By 2nd week, I was ready to go

There won't be tears if you hold your butt down and lie down straight when baby is about to come out.
I gave birth to 4kg and dh held my butt to hips so I couldn't shift. In all I didn't have tears, my vj got back to normal in less than 2weeks and resumed kpekus in 3weeks postpartum.
It's good to start Kegel exercise in pregnancy because it helps in time of delivery and for vj to come to normal after birth. Also massage the spot that vj and anus meet, it's the area that stretches at delivery and visit jerusalem regularly. You can google about it

Pls this praying position always bother me o. Apart from the traditional kneeling and standing position, can one also pray while on bed. Covering head is not an issue but because of the heat, I don't always wear clothes.
I usually like midnight and early morning prayer but those are the time when I'm n*ked and usually on bed. When I pray, there's this guilt that i'm disrespecting God but heard that prayers answered more when one is n*ked. Dh is not the fervent praying type so I need to intercede for the family

The kpekusing mamas how jerusalem yesterday? Even if you no get libido, that weather dey find network wey don lost. Abeg if you're 34weeks up, dey go jerusalem from time to time and let dh top it, it will help cervix to dilate. When I was 41weeks + gone, immediately dh topped it up, the m.plug showed o.

As per the delivery hair, it's necessary pls unless you want to remove the hair finish during labour. As for me, I did dreadlock 3weeks to edd and only wash it every 2weeks. If you're breastfeeding exclusively, make one that will last till 3months o especially if your culture doesn't allow you to go out for sometime when you give birth.

What else? I've forgotten others wey I wan put mouth. Na vigilante things dey draw me back.

Let me say it's just determination. From the time I gave birth to 3weeks, I was eating and drinking anything hot. When I was also pressing tummy with hot water, clot blood gushed out. I knew I would lose all the pregnancy fat in no time but was particular about my tummy so I tied 'oja' (Sorry I don't know the english name but it's used to hold baby's buttocks when backed with wrapper. You can also use the aso oke headtie.) round it 24/7 and achieved it in 2weeks. Without baby with me, who will ever know am after 1? Lol

No oooo! Blade ke? I've never used blade to shave before. It has always been shaving stick and hair remover for my underarms. But now i can't see my vjay at all, even if i sit and raise my leg. That's why i'm wondering how other belleful mamas go about it, before e turn dreadlocks

Use a mirror to see down and feel it with your hand when done. So far it's shaving stick, you wont hurt yourself. When you're close to your edd, I'd advise you shave regularly to afford some nurses scraping it like say na ileya ram body dem dey scrap

My bobo has gone for the 6weeks immunization and 5.3kg now thanks to ebf.

All those mamas skipping routine drugs should be flogged seriously. Times without number we've emphasized on it. If pregnacare is expensive go for obron 6. Even the breastfeeding mamas especially the ebf are not left out. Let's take these drugs and eat healthy for our own benefits.

From someone that has gone through that torture, my heart feel for you tobiaboG. May the Lord quicken your womb to receive fruit of the womb ijn. Double for the loss I pray. The blood will stop on its own. However treat yourself as if you just gave birth. Take the arm injection -tc or what sef? mothers normally receive, rest well well and take your prenatal vitamins. Though it's hard but don't think about it. This time next year, you shall carry your babies. I gave birth a day after the miscarriage anniversary.
