In the other news, His back is Dry, flaky and scaling. what can I use pls. Exactly when adult uses hot ingredient and reacting to it. You get the picture...? I've stopped dettol antiseptic and powder.

Blend into puree and add breast milk, the mashed texture is for crawlers. My 8months old battles with mashed food so I've resolved to feed him puree till whenever he is ready! I mashed boiled sweet potato with butter,boiled fish, carrots and bell peppers he refused it till I blended it into puree and he ate

He also takes oats banana and strawberry puree well.

In the other news, when D's refused the oats, without asking, dh took it up and ate 2spoons only to ask if I added breastmilk. I said yes. He quickly went to throw up. kikikikiki... What's wrong with breast milk when we take cow's milk. ordinary animal

Google has it that if a baby can sit up, hold his head, doubled his birth weight, shows interest when one eats and baby is on big size, then he can start solid at 4months.
With YouTube video coupled with the baby food I learnt here, I went to market, bought oat, popatoes, apple, banana and mashed bowl.
With all eagerness, I made banana puree on day 1. With style I fed him. Day 2, I made mashed potatoes, it was tug of war to feed him few teaspoons. Day 3, I made Oats soup after blending it, he cried so tey I've decided to exclusive breastfeeding till 6months. Only thing is that he's always hungry as his tummy always flattened few minutes of feeding for a long time

Omojudy, Emerald22, Godmother, na so but I no send. Some Abeokuta towns don't use hot water bath and their oriki praise them on it. Dh doesn't use hot water even if it's falling snow. He Always says it's the first pour that's usually cold while the rest will sooth body. Story...!

Tradition sha. When one is born again, old things are passed away. That's my belief. Like dh family not allowed to eat okro, crab and hot water to bath. Mil herself broke the rule when there was cold and used hot water to bathe ds.
At home, I use it but plead blood of Jesus. He was cursed so I can be free from all the curses for curse is he that died on the cross.

I remember when I was on TTC thread, those that our cycle fell on same day and we agreed to kpekus same day. Only for few to announce bfp. I was like but we tried the same fertility drugs and diet to boost our chance. I kept on and God answered me.

melly245 cute baby there. Youre lucky your mum is around to do vigilante with her. You can train her to know the different BTW morning and night. Have your sleep routine at night. before bedtime, dim the light, no play,only soft music on. In the morning, if she's still sleeping, draw the curtain so the sunlight will let her know it's morning. Google has more on that.

Hello sabi mama, happy holiday.
Pls my ds 14weeks immunization was last Tuesday. When I got to the clinic, the security men said no clinic because of public holiday. Immunization is done every Tuesday and Thursday. Since there's holiday today too, I'll have to wait till next week Tuesday. Then D's will be 15weeks 4days old. Google says one shouldn't miss the immunization. I hope it won't have any effect. Really, nurses shouldn't be having holidays. I use SOS clinic center

Good morning my E-Family, happy new week.
The diapers friends and family gave us on Ds naming christening 3months ago finished yesterday. Thanks to them, the diapers really helped us as D's could use at least 4diapers in a day.
I can say I used all brands - Libero, Angel, Nice baby, Pampers, Huggies and the not so popular brands
I went to buy Huggies yesterday for the 1st time and the price is affordable. N1250 for 34pcs. Then I wonder why the retailers sell unknown brand, one for N40.

Google recommends baby to be without diaper for some hours so the genital and buttocks will have fresh air, to prevent or cure diaper rash.
So I did diaper free day twice last week and had to mob every now and then. It was quite a task

Pls I want to know how mums handle diaper free day without everywhere messy. Should potty training be introduced at 3months?

My 4mth baby is also experiencing such for 2 weeks plus now BT d doc told me not to use d diastop since fragile didn't work .he said stoping a child stooling at times is not good so he recommended zinnat an antibiotic wich my baby has bn using for 4 days nw n still no positive result

I stopped Orthodox drugs for stooling. Mil bought one herbal stick from elewe omo and I soaked it in table water. Gave ds two teaspoon morning and night for two days and the diarrhea stopped.

I read drug leaflets as if I want to write exam as over and over again even as am administering it. kaolin light is d active ingredient in diastop, its an old method of stopping diarrhea in d olden days by Asian country, and its very effective. if d baby is less than 3 yes, 2.5ml is recommended and child must be well hydrated as in giving fluid (ors/BM) from time to time. I used flagyl but it didn't work, v to opt for diastop and I didn't regret it. Flagyl is not for less than 1 year old either, so pls try d diastop and come back to testify. Good morning.

It was written on diastop to consult Dr before using it for less than 3 years. My baby took it when his stooling was getting out of hand he took 2.5ml and very very effective. it contains kaolin, kaolin is a clay.

It was prescribed from the hospital but I always read leaflets and was sceptical. is kaolin dangerous?

cutie999 Pls take it easy on yourself, you're not at fault, baby wants to set his own birthday. I was once in your shoe. 4 different edd came and LMP calculation passed with no show. I eventually gave birth naturally 8days post LMP calculation.

Hmmmm, I don't think you should call buying OK a no no. I don't buy okirika (I personally do not like to) but at the same time I don't think there is anything wrong with buying OK. It's a personal thing, as long as you wash properly, sun dry and iron them well. One man's meat is another man's poison, I don't like that 'bambe' strategy cos I don't like seeing my baby swimming in clothes but I won't call it a no no because it's not a bad thing, I just don't like it. At the end of the day, to each his own, do what works for you.

My ds doesn't swim in clothes, like you put it. This is what I do. I buy his next size and keep. He doesn't wear all at once. Because he adds weight every month so after some time, I switch his function wears to house wears and replace the former with new ones. By the time I replace, he's exactly the size. The previous time I bought, he was 5.3kg at 7weeks, now 13 weeks and above 8kg. By next month, he'll have gained more. So I bought before time.
There are 0 - 4.5kg, 4.5 - 6kg, 6 - 8kg, 8 - 10kg, and 10 - 12kg. It's advisable to buy across except you're buying just few.

DS has started teething, poops something greenish at least 3times daily, losing weight though next week is his immunization and will check weight. The hospital we took him said it can't be help but to try ors, flagil for kids and biastop.
The flagil for kids leaflet says from one year up and 2.5ml, the biastop leaflet says from 3years old so I don't bother to open it. The flagil, I minimize to 0.5ml. Since Friday, he started taking it, there's no
difference.

Experienced mamas pls what should be done. The stooling is too much

enkaydewdrop it happens few days after birth but you need to send signal to the hormone that it ought to supply regularly by feeding lo regularly even if it's few drops coming out. You can supplement with formula during that period after breastfeeding and let both breasts be sucked empty first.
I experienced it though not cs, cs doesn't alter bf. The elders brought Adin dudu from elewe omo and I used it to drink pap. Within few hours, it supplied milk to the extent that the other breasts would be leaking. Now at 3months, I'm still on exclusive bf and will till 6months before I start supplementing
