BUTONEDAY:
@ Sayso,
The software for strong and Starsat receivers are different. That is why Starsat can accept Abracadabra card and open some of those channels mentioned earlier in previous threads. Strong on the other hand has the 6969 feature which could be used also to gain access to some encrypted channels like etv, sabc, etc.
thanks man,still waiting for more information.

People of goodwill am asking this Q,cos I do not know.What is the difference and similarity between Strong 4663X and Starsat decorders as regards Nilesat and Hotbird reception.I know both are satellite receivers so pls do not add that one.

Why don't you get adewest's magic touch first? Even with the echolink or starsat, you may not be
able to enjoy them to the fullest if all your transponders are not coming out.

Abi you wan buy bucket keep dey wait for when rain go fall? grin
Bros I want it now b/4 I start hearing that----------.besides am still negociating for space with my estate manager.

@ South South people,
My discussion with Adewest this evening was positive. He will be coming to Warri to track far reaching birds such as Nilesat, Astra and Eurobird1. No date has been fixed yet for his visit. We will continue our discussion as soon as he returns back to his homeland.
ok since the visit is imminent,pls let him know that I will be needing the echolink+card or starsat +card which ever is available for that nilesat.thanks.

biggjoe:
He used to have only nilesat and DSTV and he did not say he realigned his dish, so how can Badr 4 on 26e have come to his receiver? Remember DSTV is on 36e.
Yes DSTV is on 36e but Badr 4 is @ 26.0°E,that was why I said his dish size may play a rule in the reception.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free To Air Satellite TV (Part 2) by sayso: 1:48pm On Jan 26, 2009
@biggjoe,
there is a signal coming from the East Badr 4 at 26.0°E they have the same channels with Nilesat from the West.

George, D
I have been discussing the issue of Adewest coming to the south-south with Pitodent for some weeks now. We even talked about him on Saturday last week. I will speak to Adewest tomorrow.
Bros whatever you guys are planning about Adewest and Warri,I dey and most importantly is the decorder and card,cos I may not be in Warri when he comes except on weekends.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free To Air Satellite TV (Part 2) by sayso: 1:15pm On Jan 26, 2009
@broucher,
Good you found that satelite, the satelite you are picking,the name is Badr 4 at 26.0°E and they have almost the same channels with Nilesat in the west.maybe the experts will explain,cos your dish size may play a big rule there.happy viewing.

As you no dey sure whether the thing go work for ph, dat is the more reason why you need the touch of MASTER ADEWEST, so that you no go just dey sweat fruitlessly for nothing. But if you still wan try on your own, well, no problem. Talking of adewest coming to warri I think that is the greatest news of the year! How come I no even know sef? Na wao! e be like say we for south-south no dey co-operate like the lagosians at all o? If to say you no tell me now, na so adewest for come warri and go back without my knowledge? Haba! this is not nice at all.
And I notice BUTONESDAY has been so quiet all this while. If he is organizing something like that, is it bad to let the rest of us know about it? what are we members for?
Na wao! na so, so, lone ranger style we all dey operate for this part of the country o!
@George I do not know whoever is organizing this Adewest visit for Warri,maybe na Army barrack he dey come me I no know,but Adewest pls make ur visit known to us because my concern for this ur visit to Warri is the ECHOLINK&CARD.I need it.

mbc 1 &3 are still showing although they go off air atimes. As for go africa, it freezes a lot these days. I wonder what's up with these w3a stations.

What to do: Check your TV Malagasy signal strenght (Tp 10976V). It should be between 75% or 80%. If not you need to adjust your lnb skew to increase the level. After doing that check Tp 11190V where MBC is. It should have increased to about 60%. Having done that, rescan your decoder and enjoy.
George thanks man,the problem now is that TV Malagasy signal,I can't get it up to 65%,bt if I try to skew,it will go back to 40 something.I do not know what the problem is.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free To Air Satellite TV (Part 2) by sayso: 11:53am On Jan 22, 2009
@George_D
do you have W3A?if yes is MBC1&3 showing together wt Go africa all in V bt all H signals are there,I seem not to have it in my set-up.or what should I do?
