Rochas is a nitwit just like most Nigerian politicians. He never knew that elective posts is an opportunity to serve. Just look at how Obi's testimony as governor spoke and is still speaking for him while people like Rochas, Tinubu, Orji Uzor Kalu and many others grabbed power just to steal and enrich their cronies. I can bet you that there is no other governor that left money without borrowing and without owing workers since 1999.
If Nigeria misses Peter Obi, I don't see the country last another 20 years.

Peter Obi needs the highest number of votes plus 25% in 24 states to win the election, which means that even if he's winning your state 100%, you must cast your vote to help him get the highest number of votes overall.

The closest ATM to my house had maybe 500 people on the queue in the morning. I quickly checked some POS and the guys were issuing a maximum of 5k, which i collected and moved to a second queue at another POS. There were about 7 people ahead of me when their cash exhausted. Some fellow there said there's another one paying inside a street. When we got there, the man said they were expecting cash. I was curious and joined the others to wait. After about an hour, the man's assistant came in with a tranche of cash. New notes. I concluded that banks are hoarding the new currencies and colluding with POS operators in the new naira black market. I think Buhari started his administration two months to the end of his second tenure. Thus the BATstardized naira.

Tinubu is in a dilemma and understandably so. He is the only candidate among the top three who is not sure of winning states outside his region and he's getting frantic. However, Tinubu is seriously trying to score wins outside his traditional Yoruba strongholds. Here are the states Tinubu may be banking on to extend his influence outside his SW region.

Crossriver
This state has an APC governor and a weak one. Even though the governor is hampered by poor performance, Tinubu hopes to make a dash for the state to boast of a foothold in the SS which has been commandeered by the Labour Party's Presidential candidate. How far he can make inroad into Crossriver is yet to be seen.

Abuja
As a cosmopolitan area, Abuja is anybody's to win, but the real challenge in this territory is its large number of enlightened populace. Tinubu is well aware that he stands no chance in places where there is a large population of educated people since this demography are acutely aware of his party's misgovernance and the roles he played in it. Nevertheless, Tinubu needs to gain a foothold in the MB and as the capital of Nigeria, Abuja is an enticing choice outside the traditional Yoruba areas.

Lagos
This state makes Tinubu frenetic. The reasons are that this is supposed to be his home base and losing a state he claims to have built would be calamitous. Tinubu is aware. What's even more unsettling for him is that the Buhari government is tactically moving against his thugs effectively curbing his mobsters base he hoped to use in rigging election for himself in Lagos.

Indeed, these are trying times for Mr Tinubu who at the moment isn't sure of winning in more than 7 states in the election slated February 25.

Need I remind you that a Yoruba man, Bishop Ajayi Crowther translated the Bible into Igbo language so that Igbos can know God.. a Yoruba man enlightened the Igbos.

Peter Obi on the other hand doesn't know how to create wealth just like most of his folks.. It's not about petty trading or saving money in kolo that is economic wisdom. The stuff is quite deep.

Have you noticed that since this republic, northerners act like the owners of the country? For instance, whenever a southerner becomes president, they revolt as if you've done them the worst thing and the southern president spends most of his tenure working for them at the expense of the south. Yet, they'll never be satisfied.

What I've noticed is that southerners even see the country as belonging to the north. Did you notice how Jonathan and even Obasanjo worked hard to appease them? These are men that employed the best hands to work for the country but to them the country is still mostly the north. Obasanjo practically did nothing for his native Ogun while Jonathan practically dis nothing for his native Bayelsa because both men wanted to be seen as nationalist that see Nigeria as one.

Enters Buhari. The man just didn't give a hoot about the South. In fact, I think it was an European with a donor agency that first said that Buhari told his organization to focus their projects in the north. Same Buhari appointment ONLY not just northerners but mostly Fulani into all the sensitive and lucrative offices in the country. Odd enough, when people complained in the south, Yoruba who are also southerners supported the policy of southern exclusion in appointments.

I often wondered if Tinubu would be the first southerner that could have the balls to exclude the north. As the shades of twilight close Buhari's tenure, it has become obvious that the man wanted presidency to advance northern interest, something that no southern leader has been able to do because they're Nigerianists and not bigot? But has being pan-Nigerian done the south any good?

I've been doing some research and also seen that southern leaders who are bigots never get needed suppirt to become presidents due to the traditional division and suspicion in the south. For instance, Awolowo is a classic case of an ethnic bigot who would have worked for the interest of the Yoruba had he had the opportunity of becoming a president or prime minister. As I said earlier, I have the inkling that Tinubu is another classic case of a bigot that has what it takes to shut out the north and favour his Yoruba people. But the bad news is that these men are not proSouth but ethnic bigots that would hurt and exclude other southerners as much as they exclude the north.

This brings me to Obi. A close look at the man shows that he is another southern panNigerianist that would strive to carry everyone and every section of the country along. However, like Obasanjo and Jonathan, his greatest opposition would still be from the north who seem to consider power to the south anathema.

Who can quantify how much southern Nigeria lost in 8 years of sectional Buhari government. Who can quantify the level of political, economic and social exclusion? This is why I think that the most important step for the incoming president if Peter Obi wins is fundamental restructuring that makes it difficult for one section of the country to be favoured over another. For instance, the reason why no southern port of Warri, Calabar and PHC works is a treacherous unspoken agreement to exclude the south. Unfortunately, the south is a region that is easily divided for the north to benefit maximally.
