PoliticsWike Is A Bat... A Real Bat by ScamHunter(op):
I knew the Rivers state governor won't go far the day he said he's not Igbo but Bini. What was even amusing was that the Oba of Bini's palace came up to refute the Bini claim which many Ikwere have used to avoid persecution and marginalization of Igbo in the Nigerian state.

To make matters worse, Wike even had presidential ambition. He actually showed his dullness by isolating himself from Igbo, the largest voting bloc south of the Niger. Wike didn't learn from more experienced Ikwere politicians who never deny their Igboness whenever the elections draw near. Just look at Amaechi, as cunning as he is, he wouldn't alienate Igbo voters even if Igbos have traditionally exhibited apathy towards Nigerian elections. Jonathan even coined in an Igbo name, Azikiwe just to have Igbos align with him.

It got worse for Wike after he lost the primaries. Why? The Atiku he pegged his hopes on for vice presidential position made it clear that he would always use an Igbo as a running mate. Remember that Wike is Bini, albeit a disowned one by the Binis. So Atiku went for an Igbo from Delta instead of a Bini from Rivers. Are you seeing the pattern now?

1) Wike doesn't know his roots. He is neither Igbo nor Bini.

2) Wike isn't Igbo, but he wanted to fill shoes (VP) meant for an Igbo.

3) Wike started fighting Atiku, but he needed some Igbos (Ugwuanyi and co) to help him in his fight against Atiku.

4) Wike decided to decamp mentally to another party but he won't support an Igbo since he's not Igbo. He's Bini so he was to support who Binis support, but alas Bini are supoorting Igbo. Wike became confused. His supposed root is supporting Peter Obi, an Igbo.

5) Wike was left in a quandary with the realization that he like a bat is neither an animal nor a bird, neither Igbo nor Bini. So Wike was left with no other option than to go for the only option left: support a BAT like him. After all, BATs have no roots, no ancestry.

BusinessNaira Swap: My Experience Today by ScamHunter(op): 7:14pm On Feb 10, 2023
I needed to buy a few things from the market. Before I even entered the market, I heard from a bike man that people are rejecting the old naira. At that point, I advised myself that I won't take old notes. However, all the PoS seemed not to have the new notes, so I decided to take just 2k tentatively to be sure I could spend old money today.

The first lady seller said she won't collect old money even before being sure what I wanted to buy. The second lady I went to actually gave me the what I needed but when i gave her the money, she rejected it, so I moved on. Her neighbor told her to collect and she called me back and gave me the article.

At the beverage shop, the boy there first announced they don't accept old money. I asked if they have a PoS machine and he answered in the affirmative. I was just rounding off when his boss came in. His boy told him I needed to pay with the machine and the man actually asked me to pay 100 naira charge for cashless payment which I declined. I told him I won't pay a fee on my bank card for buying things. He changed his mind and charged me the exact value I bought.

It was at the shop that I realized that even the balance I was given by the first lady was new notes. Seems I couldn't differentiate between the old 200 and the new one. I bought two more articles with the old money and made sure I had just 400 naira of the new note as I left the market. To round off my shopping, I went to a supermarket near the market and bought other things I need in the coming days. Paid with my bank card.

On my way home, it occurred to me that what this Buhari government seems adept at is causing a problem where none previously existed. I remembered how the once peaceful Southeast has been made a crisis zone by this government because they're just adept at creating problems where none existed.

Why is currency swap so difficult if not that we mostly have a government that never think through issues and never operates based on competence? How are we even sure that if they're bent on stopping Tinubu from vote buying that they'll also make sure that Atiku doesn't have access to looted cash to do what they're preventing Tinubu from doing? What we need is a level playing field and that's why I'm rooting for Peter Obi.

Thinking that the high rollers are all queuing behind Peter Obi. Are they passing a message to Nigerians or making a statement to the political class, especially people like the governors of Kaduna, Zamfara and Kogi?
All things being equal and you're seeing pictures like this, you can bet you're looking at your next C-in-C. As guys who know the side their bread is buttered, they're already putting their money where their mouths are.

One man was in our office early this week at Udu, while we were discussing I saw an APC sticker at the back of his phone. "Ose, you be APC member sef?", I asked. "Yes o, infact we have a meeting this evening", he replied. Then I asked who he will vote for presidency, he replied "Peter Obi for President, Omo-Agege for Governor". I just smiled
I'm currently lodged in a hotel in the north. Yesterday morning, I overheard two servicemen fixing something at the hotel speaking alternately in English and Yoruba. What I understood is that someone at the hotel or elsewhere was promoting Tinubu to them. According to one, the man said "Una know na, Tinubu is our man" The other said that he didn't want to embarrass the man that was why he kept quiet. Two of them started laughing. What surprised me is that they both seem to be Yoruba men. I wished I understand the language to know all they said and why they were laughing.

Why do I find this image of Tinubu and his team weird? Somebody help me because he actually looks 'alive' in it but there's a nagging feeling about it that I can't lay a finger on despite the fact that this is one picture where he isn't looking like a broken down pig farmer. Seen worse.

He may win Kwara and Kogi. Those states and neither here nor there. Classic swing states. He can also lose Ondo and Lagos. In any case, he can't win more than 7 states in total

PoliticsRe: Obi Should Win 70% Of Southern Votes And 45% Of Northern Votes by ScamHunter(op): 7:51pm On Feb 09, 2023
RightToReject:
Obi, or any other potential winner, doesn't need to win more than 34% of the total number of popular votes in the North, or any region, or the entire country, besides securing 25% of the votes cast in at least 25 different states, with or without winning in the FCT, to be declared a winner, provided that none of the other candidates equal or secured higher percentage and spread of the votes and areas.
My issue is that if Obi doesn't win with a landslide or struggles before winning, it would be an indication that something is wrong with a large number of Nigerians.

Almost everyone who is active online has observed this. I thought I was the only one.

The only reasonable explanation is that they want Tinubu to inherit Buhari's traditional block votes.
That's not the reason. They all cannot has the same mindset regarding block vote from the north. I think it's a morbid fear of the northern Invaders that defeated their forefathers and grabbed Ilorin. They're forever awed by the possibilities.

The yorubas hardly, insults or bellitle northerners unless when provoked. In the past and in the present.
But the igbos are only pretending to be friends with us northerners now that they want to win election.
When they see we are not buying, they result to instigating our Christian brothers against us.

The real enemies are the ones instigating our people against us using religion and tribalism.

Everyday you here words like yoruba Muslim, middle belt Christian's.
You hardly see people from other regions call Osu igbo even though we all know how they kicked their own brothers with same religion out of their land.
The problems between yorubas and northerners is a very normal problem that the elders, from both regions plays positive role in making sure it don't escalate.
But you see those people that uses slide tackle to wake their parent, they tend to see us as animals in a zoo.
Maybe the poster should have a rethink and know where to dash his hopes.

PoliticsObi Should Win 70% Of Southern Votes And 45% Of Northern Votes by ScamHunter(op): 3:58pm On Feb 09, 2023
If Obi doesn't win with a landslide, just bear in mind that the pauperization of the people is a barrier to progress. I expect Obi to win 70% of Southern states and 45% of the North after factoring in Tinubu and Atiku's vote buying strategy in the rural areas. Can't imagine any well-informed individuals voting any of the duo. With internet enabled phones, this should be possible.
