DMainMan: @ successful candidates.
Now is the right time to create whatsapp or facebook closed group. So u guys can discuss your logistics and planning before leaving and when abroad to unite and motivate one another during your studies.
Bring all your credentials and look for someone who will sign bond for you in anticipation of your induction. If you don't have international passport, get one now before induction. Get your transcripts too.
Congrats once more. Sup bro.. how do you mean by "sign bond"? What bond is that? Kindly elaborate on this |

JimloveTM: Has Lyon emailed you? A beneficiary of Ptdf msc for Grenoble yesterday told me he has obtained his admission letter. What's the way forward with Lyon? Make person no go reach there dem com say list never reach them Lolzz.. fret not. The worst case scenario is that you'll be moved to another country e.g USA or Canada.. The fact that your name appears on the list makes you part of PTDF family henceforth... |

JimloveTM: I sent an email to u about this but you never responded, you are here asking questions If I didn't respond, it means I didn't see ur message or I intentionally overlooked it. Besides there is no harm asking your questions on this platform just like everyone has been doing; there's no point sending an Email for a question I most likely wouldn't have answers to. At least asking here would give you a broader range of answers and opinions. Nevertheless, congrats bro. We'll meet in Abuja by God's grace |

tyakson99: no one can tell for now cause it seems this will be the first time Ptdf will be sending guys to China. but am sure what ever they give should be very OK. they take into account the cost of living index of where you will go in deciding your stipend. a friend of mine who went to US told me his stipend is about 1300 dollars equivalent to about 1000 pounds. so you can see it not so far off from the stipends of those in UK.
if you do a rough check on China u will discover you need close to that amount to live comfortably there, I.e, about 8000 RMB which is about 1000 pounds. The current monthly stipend stands at £1500; do well to convert it to the currency of your host country. Luckily, it might be increased this year. For those going to France, consider yourself most lucky from the information I gathered. Believe me, the packages you'll get from the French government alone is fantabulously amazing! |

ExxA: Releasing the list is the first step, PTDF should contact us before the induction. You will be told everything you need to do during or before the induction. Also, if I have any confirmed info before time I will let you people know. Ok. Thank you loads |
Education › Re: Apply for 2018/2019 PTDF Scholarship in Germany/France/China by scarplanet(m): 11:40am On Jun 20, 2018 |
ExxA: I tell you, it was hurtful especially since everything I said was coming from a place of love. My biggest joy is that God has vindicated me. Some people even discredited my qualifications because I was honest enough to say I had no publications, others made me subject of mockery insinuating that free school in China is better than mine but what they didn't know is that I graduated from UCL.
But I was deeply convinced in my heart that there was hope for me so I waited patiently and I PRAYED.
Even about list been released yesterday, they still called me out and mocked me in the process.
Here are some facts for those wondering what might have happened:
People that applied to both schemes had better chances but since the FGC list was compiled first, those who made it were automatically disqualified for the UK scheme. They now have to consider those that didn't make it for the UK scheme hence the delay in the release of the list.
Some people were contacted because the schools needed them to do one or two things.
About induction, things have changed since my time. As soon as I have confirmed info I will let you guys know, PTDF will also contact you with detailed information before time. People asking why it is 5days; you will be doing a lot of things in those 5 days dont worry (from lectures on what is expected of you and what you should expect in the country youll be going to, to signing of bonds if any, to getting your award letter), just endeavour to come with all your documents including your international passport. Well in all, God will only always glory his name. We need to understand in life that we are saved and blessed ONLY by grace, and NEVER by our own self righteousness or vain efforts. If God hadn't willed it, we wouldn't have seen it manifest! Personally I still don't want to believe that this blessing happened by luck or chance or our qualifications... That way we would be conscious of always returning the glory to whom it's due. Exxa, you have been quite helpful in this thread, very helpful. God has indeed just started greater things for u. Kindly always ignore negative comments or perceptions of you, they don't matter at all in you becoming who you want to be. Just be sure that you are not weary in doing good; it pays. I wish I applied for the UK scheme though; I would have preferred UK for personal reasons, but I'm grateful God gave me France instead. |

Food › What Is Killing People Slowly In Nigeria Today? by scarplanet(op): 10:53am On May 25, 2018 |
What is killing people in Nigeria today? Nigerians should be focused on solving these problems instead of fighting over Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) they don’t understand yet. These are what are causing most of the cancer going around now:
1.) Ripening agent for banana and plantain. Because people are in hurry to harvest their bananas and plantain. They spray it with Calcium carbide. This is a ripening agent and makes the plantain to ripen very quietly. It is extremely hazardous to the human body as it contains traces of arsenic and phosphorus.
So anytime you buy ripe plantain in the market chances are you are buying plantain ripened with Calcium carbide.
Solution: Buy unripe Plantains and Banana and keep it inside black plastic for few days, it will ripe naturally.
2.) Most Nigerian farmers, if not all of them use a chemical called “Sniper” as added ingredient for pest control. Sniper is potent and it scares me. It is a DDVP, 2,2-Dichlorovinyl dimethyl phosphate compound. An organophosphate that readily binds to the lungs and kidney causing cancer. It is almost in everything you eat in Nigeria. Even the looters eat it too.
Solution: You are on your own here because it is everywhere.
3.) Weevil controls in Beans with Aluminum phosphide (AlP). This is the most dangerous food pollution in Nigeria. Because weevil can destroy the entire year harvest of the farmer in few days. They drop tablets of Aluminum Phosphide inside each bag of beans.
They think that one tablet is enough to drive weevils away from the bag of beans. Yes they are right, but that one tablet can drive weevil away from an entire Silo or 50 tones of beans. Do the mathematics yourselves.
Unfortunately, it is now one of the most common causes of food poisoning in Nigeria. It liberates lethal phosphine gas when it comes in contact either with atmospheric moisture or with hydrochloric acid in the stomach.
Solution: Eat beans with Weevils.
4.) Chicken from China preserved using embalming substance. The same used to embalm dead bodies in Nigeria. This is cancer causing substance that will kill you slowing. How else do you think chicken gets to Nigeria from China without proper cooling system?
Solution: Eat only local chicken. Don’t buy frozen chicken. If you can’t see it running around don’t buy it. The farmers don’t want to kill people, but they are uneducated and don’t know what they are doing and besides, they don’t have tools to deal with the challenges they have.
This is why the European Union, United States don’t want to have the Beans, Cocoa, Plantain and Pineapples from Nigeria. It has nothing to do with racism or because they are evil white people. They have warned Nigeria several times to clean up her food.
