South Africa Bid To Host 2024 Nations Cup

The South African Football Association (SAFA) President DannyJordaan has revealed that SAFA will bid to host the Africa Women Cup of Nations in 2024.

South Africa hosted the tournament in the 2000, 2004 and 2010 with the Super Falcon of Nigeria winning all three editions in South Africa.

“As far as the Africa Women Cup of Nations is concerned, we [Banyana Banyana] have qualified for the 2022 tournament in Morocco [from 2 July to 23 July]. Our team made it to the final in Ghana [in 2018 where they lost to Nigeria on penalties].

“They are going to Morocco and we are hoping they will be in the final of this competition. Certainly they must qualify for the World Cup. On that basis, we have indicated to CAF we are keen to host the 2024 Women’s Cup of Nations. We will be discussing this matter with the minister of sport, Minister Nathi Mthethwa, and ask government to give us support to make that bid because it is not a once-off match, it is a tournament.

“Therefore we need to get government support for the bid to host the Afcon for women in 2024. I think we should have a significantly strong team by then to hopefully be in the final and win it,” he said

Christy Ucheibe DM, Bashirat Amoo CM (who will turn 20 by June currently with this UP set) and Peace Efih AM where the 3 regular midfielder we used at the U20 World Cup in France.. ever since then two of them have been playing in Europe with Bashirat Amoo still with Confluence Queen here in Nigeria.. I just hope after this edition she gets to join them in Europe

She has always been good even from the youth category but overlooked.

I don't think she's over looked. From Playing for Nigeria from the U17, U20 and now down to the Superfalcons isn't a mere thing, She's a quality Player anyday anytime.
She hasn't been able to hold on to a spot in the Superfalcon Midfield if I may say.. We all know she's a good player who can play Multiple positions from Midfield to attack..

Coach Thomas Dennerby used Efih too playing the WAFU tournament and was among the regular home based then... Now Randy Waldrum have been bringing her in on a regular..


After spending over 2 years in Spain playing for Sporting de Huelva and Zaragoza CFF and now currently with the Israelites giant kiryat Gat FC she ought to have improved a lot.

We all should also remember her excellent performance at the 2018 U20 FIFA Women's World Cup in France alongside Nnadozie and Co..


I hope she get to finally take her chance when she gets a good minutes to do so..r

Yes the photo there are all guys.. But if you get to see the Senegalese Women National Team players, they're looking so physical, quick and strong... They lack the experience which the likes of Nigeria, Cameroon, South Africa and Morocco has..

They're definitely using their physical side to their advantage too..

Paris FC currently 3rd of the Log of the French Women League..

Hopefully we would get to watch Chiamaka Nnadozie play in the UEFA Women's Champions League next season....
